I need to know how long clonidine stays in your urine? I am on a methadone clinic and they just started taking levels of clonidine in our urine, if you are not prescribed, you get immediate discharge, no detox. Please help. ## I couldn't locate a definitive source for this answer, however a few references noted that Clonidine stays in your system for roughly 2-3 days for a urine test. I would personally suggest giving yourself about close to a week though if you've been using it for a while; depending on your metabolism, diet, weight, etc. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables while staying hydrated throughout the day will significantly help your body detox quicker (from both clonidine and methadone). So, they shouldn't register as anything, because they are not in the classes that are normally tested for, which include Benzodiazepines, Opiates and Amphetamines, among others. I have tested positive for a benzo drug test every week for 4wks. I have not had any valium in at least 40 days. I take doxepin, hydroxyzine, clonidine, levothyroxin, & suboxone. are any of these causing the positive result? ## Valium has an extremely long half life (50-100 hours) and after regular use can continue to show positive for several weeks. ## Look up the Ashton Manual! Valium and xanax can stay in your system for a very long time. It was in my system for 3 months and I had no choice but to go back on it. I call benzodiazepines the devil medicine. Considering Chlonidine to treat nerve pain. How long does it stay in system? Wanting to know if we could avoid daytime use as it would be nice to only take it at night in order to avoid the fatigue and drowsiness in the day.
