been on xanax for 9 years for grave's disease. All of a sudden my doctor refuses to write this drug anymore. So I am trying to get off them and yet after 1 month it has a hold on me and super high pulse rates that range from 105-91-then after1 pill it goes to normal 72. Been trying to drop down 1 pill a month and yet I have major problems. How long does it take 1mg xanax to enter your system? ## Quickly, 20 minutes or so! ## From what I could gather, Eddy's estimate was right on spot! It usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes max to start feeling the effects of Xanax. However, timing can also depend on the dose, your tolerance, and how much food you might have in your stomach at the time. Other benzotype medications such as Klonopin are long acting and can sometimes take up to an hour to notice relief. But if you're taking a lower dose of Xanax (immediate release) with no tolerance, I'd imagine that you'd notice it working within the first 15 minutes or so. However, I can tell you that a tablet with this marking is listed in the prescription drug databases and it does not contain Xanax/Alprazolam. I found some 3 scored "xanax".On 1 side there is a 5 in each bar. On the other side the first square has a TV in it. 2Nd squre is blank and 3 square has either a 1003 or 100B (hard to tell). That said, it contains 15mgs of Buspirone, which is used to treat anxiety and though it is in a different class of medications, many people do think it's similar to Xanax, but it's not a benzodiazepine. Pharmacy ordered 2 mg white wavy pill that is twice the size of a normal USA Xanax prescription pill. On one side it reads XANAX and is scored in 2 places and the other side reads 2 and scored in half. The order was for 2 mg Xanax and on the container it reads Xanax 2 mg- Alprazolam, however below the bar code in tiny letters it reads Xanax-Alprazolam 1 mg. This was ordered by mail. Manufacturers date is 02/2010 and Expiration date is 03/2013. ## Where they ordered from a legitimate U.S. pharmacy that required a prescription, or from a foreign source that didn't require one? From your description, it seems they are different than the regular U.S. 2mg Xanax bars, but are similar to what some others have reported receiving when ordering in this manner.

There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. I cannot find coverage for name brand xanax and alpralazam does not work . what do I do if I cant afford brand name without coverage? ## Insurance compnies do not like to pay for brand name drug when a generic is avaiable. They most likely will make you pay for brand name, and since you have insurance the drug company will not give you a discount card either. So either get use to the generic or pay big bucks for brand name. It's just the way they work. Sad but true. ## There actually is a discount card available from the manufacturer, Pfizer, that can even be used by those that have insurance, but I am not certain how significant that savings may be.
