How Long Does 80 Oc Last

Walgren's gave me the bad OP/80's last month and told me that's all that would be available from now on. My doctor let me try hydromorphone, oxymorphone, and MsContin. All with either negative side effects or ineffectiveness. I gave up on all replacements and asked doctor to put me back on Oxycontin 80. When I went to Walgrens, they asked if I wanted generic. I told them that I heard there is no generic. They said they have them again. The manufacturer is ETHEX, (which based on other posts here is owned by Purdue). I would suggest anyone stuck with new OP/80 oxycontin should ask Pharm. if they have generic Oxycodone ER by Ethex. You might be pleasantly surprised!!! ## If they have the OC on them, there are not made by Ethex, they are made by Purdue and are not the generic. S...

green oval 80 on one side ex on other ## The pills with the marking of EX 80 were actually a time released formulation of Oxycodone from Mexico and they have been discontinued and were illegal to have in the U.S. In the U.S. the only product that is now available is the new Oxycontin OP, the reformulation from Purdue. Are there any questions or comments? ## where can i get oc 80s in minnesota ## I live in Southeast Georgia and recently in last 2 years it has gotten harder and harder to find a Dr. in Georgia that prescribes oxycodone 30s or 15s and Dilaudid 4s & 8s. Does anybody know of a Dr. in Georgia that will prescribe me either oxycodone or Dilaudid at current date. I am extremely grateful for any help and advice. Thanks

i have been taking oxycotin 80mg. for about ten years, the new op version is terrible.I been under the same doctor for most of my life, one thing I do not understand is why are truly sick being punished for all the abusers/or drug dealers.I'm in and out hospital all the time with life threating problems, even the hospital has the original oc.the new one have a rubber substance and carsonagenics in it from what i here.Thats very dissturbing! All I know it not the same.it does not control my pain or last as long(12hrs).It makes me have flu like symptoms, headaches upset stomach so I have to take phenagen, which makes me sleepy, but the new pill makes me sleepy even on a lower dose, where as the oc I could take my regular dosage and not get sleepy so I can function and have a better life.i s...

need info on 8mg dilaudid and what might be a good medication for breakthrough pain while taking this med every 2 hours. please help. ive been on oxycontin & roxycodone and cant find them anymore thats why i changed to dilaudid. please help. ## Opana Ir Or Er im sure an Opana 40 Er would would cover your pain if not try Morphine, I prefer morphone. Hydro-morphone= dilaudid. Oxy-morphone=Opana. I say Opana is ATLEAST equal to an Oc 80. Fentayln patches also work great as well as liquid Morphine Sulfate. Mainly for Iv but can be ingested. ## YEs, if you're on the regular release formulation, you may want to ask your doctor about using the time release formulation for longer pain control. As was already mentioned, it's called Opana ER. Does anyone else have any ideas to add? ##...

I'm 57 and had lone afib. It occurred 5 times in 5 years. They have done a cryoablation 4.5 months ago. I've worn the monitor now for 3 weeks and debt it back. Overt the last 2 weeks I called my doctor 4 times and never gotten a call back. Eliquis, in just the last 2 months has caused me memory problems, very bad knee pain, BP had gone from around 125/ 70 to 145/80. Feeling very tired and lethargic. Weight gain, and the latest protien in urine. Since it was just spared to be for 3 months and I can't even talk to the office to make an appointment, just the answering service, today I'm switching over to aspirin ## Hello, Giss! How are you? a want to see what a oxycontin 80 op & co brand and genic picture, as well as this pill i found on the ground outside in my yard & I have a 13 yr. son it looks like the following description as follow's ## I don't have a picture to post for you. However, both the original Oxycontin and the new Oxycontin OP are round, light green tablets. They both have the number 80 on one side, then the original has OC on the opposite and the new product has OP on the opposite side. As to a generic, there is no generic of the Oxycontin available. There have been many legal battles about it and the one company that had legal right to distribute it, let their contract expire last year. If there are different markings on the pill you have, it could still be Oxycodone, but in a different fo...

I was diagnosed with bone cancer several years ago and prior to during and after surgery I was prescribed oc 80mg. Which most of the time worked to relieve my pain. After being blessed (or not now) and survived they changed to the op. understand why but in all honestly it ruined my pain managment. By not helping as well and I believe causing other problems as well. It doesn't cover my pain doesn't last as long and if I miss one dose I get very ill. Please purdue pharma do the right thing and help those that use it properly and that were lucky to survive go back to oc's or bring back 160's. Imbegging you do the right thing. We get treated bad enough from the stigma of oxy atleast give it to those who take and need the medication as prescribed. Sincerely. In constant pain ...

this is in reply to all who are complaining to the new oxycontin 80 OP. I have been takeing them for 2 years now. My last scrip is still the OC. I pray they are pulled before we get them here. There are other meds we all can go to such as the fent. Patch which comes in a lolly pop too. I bet they will be pulled & back to the old ones before the year is out ## Pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense the original product, until their stocks runs out, then all will only be able to get the new Oxycontin OP. There have, however, been many complaints that they do not work as well and cause odd side effects, even though they are supposed to work the same and have the same side effects. Anyone that has problems should report them to both the FDA and Purdue at the following numbers: P...

Oxycontin OP is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they are the ones responsible for the change to the formulation. It was done to try to help prevent abuse. There have, however, been many complaints about it. Many people have said it does not work as well for pain relief and there have also been reports of unusual side effects. How long do original OxyContin 80 mg tablets with OC and 80 prints potency last? ## Hello, Snappy! How are you? If they are still sealed in the original factory bottle, then they are good for 3 years from the date of manufacture. However, if that bottle has been opened, so they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, it drops to one year from then. Other odd storage conditions would hasten the degradation, for instance if you were storing them in a plastic bag in a purse or backpack, because that could allow more moisture to build up. Or if they were store in a bathroom medicine chest, where it regularly gets damp and steamy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth ...

How are you? I'ms sorry about the problem that you're having. Yes, you may want to discuss that possibility with your doctor. They may not have you at the right dosage to last you all day, this has actually been happening more frequently recently, there have been quite a few posts similar to yours. The FDA classifies this medication as being an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can always lower it ag...

I have been taking 80mg of baclofen a day for the past month now. I started it October 2nd 2013-November 4th 2013. I have now been going through withdrawals from the medication for 5 days now and was curious if it will be over with very soon? I ask this because i haven't been on it long but am not sure how long this withdrawal feeling will last. I am feeling the mental withdrawal and the muscle issues at this point now. Can someone please help me out with when I will or should be getting back to normal mentally and physically? ## Hello, Steph! How are you feeling? It's difficult to say, since everyone is different. That was a pretty high dosage, so what you're experiencing are most likely rebound effects from stopping it abruptly, this isn't a medication known to cause w...

I am 66 years old and am taking Amlozaar-H for the last two months. I am also taking Myoprol XL-50, Ocid-10 and Asprin-50 all once a day for a very long time. These medicines keep my BP within a range of 128 -130/80-90. I have developed pain on the left elbow & left groin for the last month or so. Are these the side effects of Amlozaar-H and if so what is the remedy? Thanks. Regards. S K MATHUR ## Have you consulted a doctor? They are really the only person who will be able to help you get to the root of the problem and find a solution. It could be from the new medication, one of the others, or from something entirely unrelated to the medications. Amlozaar-H contains Amlodipine, Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide. Looking for a Dr in Manatee or Pinellas county FL for pain management and anxiety. I was taking Xanax 2mg and 80mg OC but my original doctor moved to the VA hospital. I'm on SSI and need help. ## Hello Butterfly2ite! How are you? Due to the new regulations set forth by the DEA last year, you'll actually need to see two different specialists to have such medications prescribed, one for pain management and the other a psychiatrist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. The FDA lists Xanax as being a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache an...

I take 1 tramol 100 once a week before a round of golf. I swear by it to leave me unexhuasted after 18 holes in temperatures where I live usually up in the high 80's. I very occasionally take a 50 mg if I'm expectiing a long hard day doing other activities but I limit my use because I don't want to become immune to the effect. They last about 12-14 hours at least. I,m in my 70's and am usually fresher after my game than most of my much younger friends. Good luck if you give it a try let me know if it works for you (remember limit your use to no more than twice a week

i have been taking oxy oc 60mg 2aday as prescribed never abused them last month it was swiched to 60mg of the new oxy op not nearly as effective and double the cost ## Switching to the new one has nothing to do with abuse, everyone has to switch, because they are no longer making the original. Once the pharmacies run out of their current supply, they will all have the new product and can only fill prescriptions with it. There have been many complaints that it is not as effective in the new formulation and some people have mentioned having weird side effects. I suggest reporting the problem to Purdue and the FDA. Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments?

I have been on oxycontin for about 11 years for pain management. I take 80 to 100 mg per day in 20-30 mg doses orally. In the last couple of years I have developed a severe sweating problem...I will break into a sweat for no reason sometimes but usually upon any sort of stimulation physical or mental. I just went for a 10 minute walk and my shirt is soaked through...even the sleeves. If I play a set of music with my band, at the end of 40 minutes, I look like I stood in a shower with my clothes on. Is this normal as a side effect of oxycontin use? Anyone else experience anything like this? ## This can happen with the long-term use of most narcotics, because you are adding a chemical to your body and basically screwing with its function and chemistry. It can also occur with some antibiot...
