Im a 33 year old woman. I was just prescribed .1 mg of clonidine for OxyContin withdrawals. I have bend using Oxy's for about 2 years now. The clonidine seem to be working and I have weined myself off from 60mg a day to 20mg. But now the next step is to go off completely. I need to know how long they last in your system. I know it's at least 3 or 4 hours but not sure if any longer. I want to take my next dose before the withdrawals start. Plz help. Hello I have been on opiates for about 2 years now and I was given a half of a quarter of a subutex and this is my first time taking it. I was wanting to know when it wears off? I think it threw me into full detox because I took 20 mg of hydrocodone 7 hours before I took the sub. I am aware I have a problem I just want to know when the sub will wear off. I am forced off morphine as drug panels allowed doctors to force legitimate pain patients off meds with no legal protections for patients. I would like to chime in here. If all possible do not take oxycontin er. I have been on them for 7 years now. I was taking Norco for a muscle disease I got for chemicals when I was in the army. I had a heart attack later on and my doctor at the time said I had to take these OXY. That it was safer if I knew what I know know I would have punched him in the mouth. I was on 140 mg er. I am now chemically dependant on them. It's miserable up and down wake up in the morning in full blown withdrawals. I have been self tapering myself off of them. This is a very very miserable. I am now down to 10 mg 3 times a day. Getting ready to go to ir's. I dropped 10mg ever couple of weeks to get here. I will never take another opiate when I can get off. After two years on oxycodone 10mg 4x daily withdrawal between doses was getting unbearable so doc switched me to morphine ER 15mg 2x daily with oxycodone 5 mg for breakthrough pain. I just started today. I took the pill at about noon and now it is 7pm and I feel withdrawal symptoms. I have been on oxytocin 80 mg, 4 a day and decided I would try suboxon for 5 days my life has been filled with energy and no pain, I have no more yet. Just switched from methadone 30mg daily for chronic neck pain. Herniated c3456. I was taking it 3x a day and it just stopped working. PM Dr switched me to dilauded 8mg 3xs a day. Hello, My doctor has me on 30 mg daily, 1 pump per axilla, and I was wondering how often would I need to purchase a new prescription, once a month? I was on injections but decided to go the Axiron route as this is less painful. Thanks. ## Glenn, your dosage details are inconsistent, as Axiron dispenses 30 mg per pump. So if you are at 1 pump per axilla, that is 60 mg total per day (30 mg each armpit). This is the usual starting dose. One bottle of Axiron contains enough for 60 pumps, or 30 days at one pump per axilla per day. But if you're at 30 mg per day, that's only one pump per day, not one pump per axilla, and a bottle will last you two months. Hope this helps. i have been on these 40 mg pills twice daily for about two weeks with Vicodin es 3 daily for break through, The oxy's only seem to last about 4 hours but they do kick in quicker on an empty stomach. I feel like they give me rush in th beginning, then after that its all down hill. i dont think the time release is much use, there new patent really is unproffessional and needs much more lab test to be done as well as they put less oxycodone in these op's which is a straight scamm, because they have a monopoly going on this drug and no competition with the generic companies. Hi, my husband (age 33) just found out he has very low T levels across the board, his main T level was 152. He was started on Androgel 20.25 mgs 3 days ago so can't tell you how effective it's been on his levels yet but his side effects are kicking his butt at work. Nausea, vomiting, and headaches in waves throughout the day. I've been on various pain meds since I was 21 due to a VERY serious car accident where I broke my back and did a lot of other damage to my body. I've moved up through SEVERAL meds over the years, and have NEVER been fully pain free, but at times able to live life fairly normally, others not so much!
