I was on private property, police were called and I have a failed back surgery with nerve damage from lower back to feet. I was given a ua test on Wednesday when i seen my Dr. Opiates showed up. In blood test opiates did not show Up on Monday, what did show up was methamphetamines, which I and my wife were taking sudaephadrine and Advil cold and sinus in large doses 6-12 tabs every 5 hours or so. I was taking 220mg morphine a day, 6 mg klonapin a day, currently I'm taking300 mg morphine a day, 6 mg klonapin, and 20 mg of valium a day. As far as a drug screening goes it really depends on what they look for in the urine/blood sample. They can look for narcotic, illicit, and commonly abused drugs. If it is an employer looking most likely they wouldn't even check for that drug. I have a prescription through the VA for Oxycodone. I generally take 8 pills a day for arthritis pain management. The dosage per tablet is 5 mg. I had to do a fasting lab (blood draw and unrinalysis) and per instruction stopped eating at 8pm and drank only water throughout the night and next morning. I awoke at about 4am and had to urinate prior to the lab. Since I hadn't eaten, I did not take my morning dosage until after my lab and had gotten home. I took an opitates 24 hours before an accident. Blood was measured and it detected opitates. I did not drive the day I took it but its still showed up. It is not a detterent, it contains an ingredient (neutralizer) that prevents people from getting and results, such as a high or energy rush, if they take other opiates while they are taking it. I am an injured vet with amputation. I am prescribed norco 10 mg and oxycontin 10mg extended release. I was told my last three ua's tested positive for morphine but I have not taken any morphine. They've even gone so far as to accuse me of using heroin which I would NEVER do. What the hell is going on? Why is morphine coming out? ## Who is drug testing you? If you are taking Percocet and you take a Saliva Drug Test can it show positive for Cocaine usage? ## It shouldn't. The Oxycodone is a synthetic opiate though, so on some cheaper, more unreliable tests, it may cause false positives for other synthetic and semi-synthetic opiates. Has this happened to you? my drug screen came back positive for dilaudid which i have never taken. i do take loratab & soma along with blood preesure meds and statins. i have also been taking antibiotics & nyquill, dayquill, & alkaseltzer cold plus for bronchitis. could this make the test come back positive? ## In this case, it may have been the NyQuil, it has been shown to cause false positives for many substances on drug tests, including various opiates.
