I took 4 mg of a D at 11:00 am and took my last Vicodin 5/325 at 5:00 pm. How long should I wait to take 2 mg of Suboxone tomorrow? I usually start feeling mild withdrawals at 4 am. Hi. I am having a procedure done and am being prescribed vicodin. I am currently on suboxone. I WILL NOT take the vicodin unless I am in excruciating pain. Would suboxone help with the pain? Suboxone contains an opiate neutralizer to help prevent you from getting high and taking other drugs while under treatment. Vicodin is also nowhere near as strong as the Suboxone, so it will be liking taking TicTacs for your pain in comparison. I'm trying to detox off opiates. I have taken 10 percocet 7.5's in the last 14 hrs to help with withdrawals. I intend on taking some subutex strips & my last dose of percocet was 2 hrs ago. Its been 24 hours since I've had mtnkast dose of suboxine can I taken a vicoden? ## Hi sue, Depending on how much you've been taking for the year that you were on Suboxone, a lot of patients seem to suggest waiting at least a few days to a week or so until it is out of your body before you can receive the full effects of something like Vicodin. If you took the Vicodin too soon, it's possible that you may not feel anything from it at all, essentially wasting it. Suboxone's long half-life of 20-73 hours (according to wiki) means that it will probably be an estimated 3-7 days before you're in the clear... Though the keyword being "estimate". Have you talked with your doctor about this as well?

After 31 months in a state correctional facility (for a non violent crime/ misdemeanors) I was released. I started taking Suboxone 8mg and have been since May 2011. I wanted to stop taking them but I knew the detox was not going to be easy and they don't really have a detox for suboxone except for Methadone and I do not ever want to go down that road again. I relapsed 14 day's ago and started shooting dope and have not taken a sub since. I'm going to now attempt to detox myself off the dope with suboxin. I have been prescribed Vicodin for the last 7 years by the same Dr for a back injury that occurred when I was struck by a car. I recently (three weeks ago) decided that I wanted to stop taking the Vicodin because I saw myself taking too many to get the pain to go away. In that case, I'm not really sure how long you would need to wait and your doctor would probably be the best person to advise you. It doesn't seem that there would be a lot of withdrawal problems caused from someone taking just one Vicodin, but the human body can be funny and the Naloxone in the Suboxone can be tricky, so it's best to play it safe. I have been on suboxone for 2 yrs now. I recently relapsed and started taking 3 7.5 vicodine a day. How long do i need to wait until I can start taking suboxone again without going in withdrawl ## Suboxone contains the narcotic Buprenorphine and Naloxone, which prevents the abuse of other opiates, while you are on it. This means that you have to be in full withdrawal, before starting Suboxone, otherwise the Naloxone will cause severe withdrawals. Are there any other questions?

I think I'm one of the very few that is hypersensitive to the other ingriendent in suboxone (not the opiate)naloxine or however you spell it. For the past 4 days except for today I have been taking 8mg of suboxone, today I took 3-7.5 mg of Vicodin to no effect I'm guessing because of my blocked receptors, I'm looking to just continue my suboxone use, do I have to wait even though the suboxone already blocked everything, or will I go into precipitated withdrawals because there are opiates in my system?
