Ok I have been given a prescription of norco 7.5. I have been on subs since Dec 2013, 8mg a day. Is it safe to take them when they pull my tooth? ## It will not help with your pain until you stop Suboxone for at least 48 hours, and even with that you might get limited relief. ## Steph77 is right it's a complete waste, you should probably just take an extra 4mg of sub that's what my doc told me to do and it worked call your doc and see what he says. ## Ok so it did work with the extra 4mg. I don't do pain well at all. The dentist already scares the s*** outta me so that don't help... ## Ok say if I didn't take the subs for them 48 hours how long would it have to wait to take my suboxone again? How long do i have to wait b4 being able to take Norco for the pain till I see a surgeon ## Hello, Leann! How are you feeling? I am sorry that you're in pain. It usually takes about 3 days for other pain medications to start working, again. I've taken suboxone for about 3 weeks at 1 to 1/2 mg a day. I've been given my norcos back from the doctor , when can I use them again? ## Hello, TT! How are you? Unless your doctor instructed you otherwise, you should wait at least 72 hours, or the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize the Norco. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on 16 mg of suboxone for almost a month. Last night I took 3 norco 10 mgs at the same time. It has been 15 hours can I take my suboxone? ## From what I've seen on other threads, it seems like most people recommend waiting until the norco is completely out of your system before taking suboxone (which may be an estimated 24-48 hours based on how much you took). So yeah, I get the sense that you're on the right track, but if it were me I'd probably try to wait it out for another day or so (may be easier said than done). There's also something called a Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) which you can look up online that asks you a series of questions to help you better determine when you might be in withdrawals and therefore ready to use suboxone. I hope thi...

I took 40 mg of norco 5 hours ago I'm not an everyday user so I don't go thru withdraw how long do I have to wait to take a suboxone ## Why would you take suboxone if you don,t have wds? 40mg of Norco is really not all that much. It,s on the high end of a Drs. prescribed dose. Don,t mess with subs unless you have a serious addiction. ## Don't ya just love people that reply but don't answer your question, but instead sit on their high-horse?! Technically one should wait around 3 days- but to any user that is ridiculous! I have waited 24 hours & been ok (though I was kinda terrified!), that was only after using oxycodone for a couple of days for pain. If one has been using any opioids for extended periods I would advise waiting a bit longer if you can. ## I actually wr...

Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you usually have to wait at least 72 hours for other opiates to be effective, due to the Naloxone in the Suboxone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I took a very slim strip of soboxone last night for the first time. Its been 15 hours ago. Is it ok to take a norco 10 now ? ## Hello, Van! How are you? It usually requires a break of about 72 hours, for another opiate to work, after having taken Suboxone, but you should follow your doctor's instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking up to 6 x 10 mg of Norco per day and have tapered down to 3 per day. I am starting the Suboxone film and I'm not sure how long to wait? It has been 18 hours so far since my last Norco and I feel like crap with achy chills and exhaustion. I have been going through moderate withdrawals for the past week since I've been tapering down and I'm sick of feeling like crap. I'm really wanting to start the Suboxone but don't want to go into severe withdrawals. Is 18 hours enough or should I wait longer? Also, I am prescribed Adderall for ADHD. Is it safe to take with the Suboxone? ## Hello, Sara! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before you can take Suboxone, otherwise it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. So being 7 weeks out of er surgery i went back to the hospotal last night. Dr prescribed 30norcos i need 4 days do you think that will help ## Thank goodness walgreens filled my script 5 days early. I don't know why because they said not till the 8th. Then today for s***s and giggles i checked the web site and it said ready. I was a nervous wreck going the pharmacy thinking they'd change their minds and say no too early. I am now giving my script to My bff and she's giving me my daily dose. I have been on suboxone for I think a little over 3 weeks. I started this to get off of norcos which I took for pain and gained a dependency to. I have chronic pain and cannot function for my daughter, husband, or my management position at work while in so much pain. I would like to be able to take norco here and there to stop my pain. My main question it, I was taking around 8mg of suboxone a day. I took my last dose of suboxone almost 19 hours ago and I am curious if i can take AND FEEL a norco now. How will i know when the suboxone is out of my system so I can get pain relief from norco? Thank you in advance. ## It takes about 3 days for another pain medication to have any effect, after taking Suboxone. You really can't mix Suboxone and other opiates due to the fact that Suboxone...

I would not be able to drive 200 miles during a withdrawl of 24 hrs. My friend gave the Suboxone to help me stop my addiction the the pain pill. Could some one tell me how much to start a day subliq. ## I'm sorry, but the proper dosage of Suboxone is very carefully calculated using formulas that aren't made public. It's based on the drug being abused, how long its been abused and the amount being taken. Additionally, Suboxone can't be taken until you are already in full withdrawals, because taking it too soon may cause you to go into dangerous withdrawals. Learn more Suboxone details here. I am considered a"functioning addict" I think because I have a family, a 3yr old daughter...while I was pregnant, I taoered myself down on my own & took lortab 10's, yellow norcos, less acetaminophen. I then started taking suboxone last yr for 4month. My rehab counselor says Im too smart to be using but I ...

I have been taking norco for about 4 years and i can take up to 60 pills of 10mg norco in a day! i take 4 at a time and keep taking them until i feel normal. my tolerance is incredibly high. so in the morning ill usually take up to 20 and i will be good until later. then at night same routine and usually more then 20 and i still function completely normal and nobody even knows im on anything. It is crazy to me how I am a 25 year old female 145lbs and can take that many in a day. well i have spent all my money and savings and i am done with Norco. it has ruined my life and i had to end up quiting my job in the medical field because it was so stressful wondering if i had enough ...

I have chronic pain issues. Numerous injuries, a spinal growth and advancing arthritic conditions have my left side barely ussable. I am permanently disabled at 44 and under the care of a pain management center. I was prescribed loritab/norco about 2 yeArs ago and of course the dose went and the tolerance built and by summer of 2014 I found myself taking 4 10's per day...and of course that wasn't enough so I found myself running low every month and spending the week or so before refills in extreme withdrawals. So I went to my general family doctor and started a Suboxone program and called the pain center and told them I didn't want Norco anymore and thought I as doing a good thing. But I forgot about one thing....the God awful pain. I have been on suboxone for about a month ...

So I've been on Norco for back surgeries for about 10 years. Taking 4 10 mg three times a day. I decided I was done being a slave to this drug! Anyways, I have done the sub treatment before and was on it for two years and weaned off, went thru pure hell for weeks only to start taking Norco again. I took one of my 8 mg sub and cut them into 1 mg pieces. Took 2 mgs for two days then 1 mg next two. Felt pretty awesome no WD or cravings! I decided since I had gone 4 days and being so afraid of the sub building up in my system I would jump on day 5 altogether. Tomorrow morning at 8am will be 3 days clean. I feel a little sick but worked all day which surprised me but diahrea is horrid! Imodium isn't even helping that. How long should I be feeling these symptoms? My craving for norco ...

Been on suboxone for 4 1/2 for oxy addiction. Funny enough I now have lupus. Doc put me on norco even though I said I on subs by different dr. He said switch should be fine but im taking twice recommended amount to ward off w/ds. 3 days in and wondering how long I will icky?? ## I switched from around 20 mg of suboxone to to 6 10 mg norcos a day about 25 days ago. I was on the suboxone for about 6 months. And even after 25 days I still cannot sleep, I go through withdrawels at night and the norcos still do not work as good as they should. I am also wondering how much longer it is going to take for my body to get back to normal-my opiate receptors to be completely open and to start sleeping. This had made many negative effects on my life the last few weeks. My new doctor also prescribed ...

Hi, Im needing some help and support. I'm 21 and I've been addicted to Norcos for 2 years, taking them every day. I was taking 10 a day, then was able to lower myself to 5 a day about a month before I detoxed. I flushed all my pills a little over a week ago an was given suboxone by a friend, to help me withdraw. I have no health insurance and each sub doctor I called was either way too expensive or they had no openings for new patients. So I took a quarter of suboxone, the orange pill, after 15 hours of withdrawal. Sub helped that day and the next day, but after that it had no effect on me and I'm wondering why? My friend who's been on it for months under a doctor's care, said its supposed to give u a little buzz and help with your cravings. But it hasn't worked ...
