hi i have been on methadone treatment for couple months i was at 80 mg a day but brought myself down to 60 for a week and couldnt make it to clinic because of money and car problems the last day i went to clinic was sunday wed i was feeling little sick and got coulple subs from friend figured 72 hrs was long enough to wait to take it well lets say i was wrong and sent me into pre w/ds it was horrible welll thur i took 45 mg of roxy to take edge off now it is fri do u think it is safe to take the sub yet for the w/d without geting sent into pre w/ds ty for any responses ## To properly take Suboxone and avoid having it throw you into withdrawals, you already have to be in them, when you take it. How long do I have to wait to take my roxy after only taken two subs got two days ## @Shelly, Based on feedback I've seen in other related discussion threads, it's probably a good idea to wait at least a few days until the suboxone is out of your body and you're in a state of withdrawals. This is because if you were to take the roxy (oxycodone) too soon, chances are that you may not even feel its effects. I know everyone is different though when it comes to these meds and a few days is really just a rough estimate.. So if you're able to I'd still encourage you to talk with your doctor about this first. I took about 1/4 of a suboxone 8mg film at about 8:30 this morning. Of I take a 30mg roxy at 10:30 tonight, will I feel it or will it be a waisted. ## Yes, it will. You should give it at least 48 hrs after your last Sub. I know..I tried. I wasted 8 15 mg. oxys because I couldn't wait! Hope this helps! ## Other reports here on the account of personal experience suggest that one only needs to wait a minimum of 12-24 hours in order to feel effects from opiates after suboxone. My assumption is that these figures are probably based on how often you take suboxone and how much you typically take when you do take it. Hi, Just started on suboxone yesterday and had a couple questions.. Started abusing lortabs about 6 years ago after several failed surgeries... About a year ago, I switched to 30mg roxys..... in April I Did 28 days in rehab, stayed clean about a month before relapsing... About a month or two ago, I started doing the dreaded "H" because of the cost. Was doing about a point or two a day sometimes alone and sometimes I'd take a few roxys with it.. Anyway, did last of the H (a point) on Saturday (today is Wednesday) and 2 roxys on Monday.. Was able to get 5 - 8mg sub strips and took about 2.5 mgs of one strip last night around 6:00. Was soooo scared about precipitated withdrawals so I waited a full 25 hrs after last roxy before I took strip. It was definitely hell waiting it out...

Today is the start of my third day without any pills. Last thing I took was 60mg of Roxy, and a 10mg Methadone, which is far less than I'd normally use in a day. I have my Subs here and wondering when to start them or, if I even should. The only withdrawl symptoms I have at this point are tearing in my eyes, somewhat fidgety/ restlessness, frequent yawning and mild diarehha (spelling). Not sure if the Methadone is holding off most of the symptoms because it is longer acting or what. Not sure if I will even go through withdrawls. I have been using x4 months daily with mostly oxycodone, sometimes loratab, morphine and Methadone. I've been hunkered down waiting for the bulls*** to start but nothing so far. This past wed, thur I took 6 15 mg roxies. Between Fri, Sat, sun and yesterday I took a total of 20 mg of suboxen. I never take them but didnt want any withdrawls. I took my last two does of sub yesterda morning n about 2pm 4mg in morni g snd 4 mg at 2pm. When can I start taking my hydrocodone10 mg and feel them n they work ## Hi starcastle, Many of the reviews I've come across in related threads here discuss waiting 2-5 days after Suboxone before being able to feel the full effects of other opiate/opioid analgesics, such as Hydrocodone. To me, this basically implies that patients should wait until they're in some amount of withdrawal from the Suboxone, in order for its presence on the receptors wear off. People are asking these questions not to be told the answers off the label! I take subs, then have no problem taking any opiate!! I never had any problems! I don't know much about methadone but just swallowed one. I took about 3mg of sub this a.m with 600 mg of neurontin / gabapentin and about 4 hrs later I took the methadone and am planning on taking at least 80 mg of Roxy thru tonight. Yesterday I took 4mg of sub about 100mg of Roxy thru the night and felt amazing! Took sub this a.m NO PROBLEM. So all this u have to wait to take subs is something I don't personally believe. At about 10 this morning, I took 8 mg of suboxone. Then about 12 hours later, so 10 p.m I took another 4 mg. I was wondering how long after these doses can I take H and actually feel the pain relief from it? Anyone have any clue?
