is it ok to mention that you are taking methodone a aa meeting
my friend said we should not mention at a aa meeting that he is on methodone, do aa people not approve or is he making up stuff? ## Hi Maniac! From my own personal experience, he's right! I have been judged and spoke about behing my back from being on methadone and suboxone. A lot of the people there at AA just want 2 hear about alcohol. That's it! Not all AA groups r like that, but, a lot r. ## P.S. I chose AA because there is more longevity with people staying clean than in NA. (Tried NA) people in NA told me that I wasn't clean because I was on methadone then suboxone. That's bull sh$$! Then after awhile in AA, I'm being judged because I don't drink alcohol. U can't win, sometimes. ...

was getting methadone at a clinic but got medacare and cant go back they don't take madacare need to find new doctor in reno nv ## Hi, Andrew! How are you? I'm sorry, but a regular doctor can't prescribe Methadone for addiction treatment and, if you were going to an addiction clinic, regardless of why, that's what it is now listed under in your medical records. A regular doctor can only prescribe it for severe pain. Once you've been in a clinic for treatment with it, that is where you have to stay, under the current laws. I don't know what insurance they accept, or what Medicare covers, but you could use the search feature at to see if there is a doctor in your area that treats with it and call them to see if they accept Medicare. looking for a list of doctors who prescribe both methadone and suboxone in hartford county, md and cecil county, md. ## With most places that provide treatment, it's one or other, not both, because both require special training and protocols. For doctors that treat with Suboxone, you can try the website, they provide a directory. It appears there are quite a few Methadone clinics in MD, but I don't know which ones are in the counties you mentioned and there are far too many to list them all. Have you tried calling your local social services agency to see if they can make any recommendations? ## I am looking for Doctor who can help me continue my methadone maintenance, I can no longer afford the $$$ the clinic charges and had a horrible experience being detox so it&#... ...

Private Doctor To Prescribe Methadone Instead Of Clinics In Fort Worth Tx
I took Hydrocodone for pain for several years and became very dependent. I have been going to a Methadone Clinic now for 2 years and it saved my life. I have led a productive life since. I take care of my parents and they both are bedbound. It is getting so hard for me to go to the clinic daily. Does anyone know of a private doctor in Fort Worth Texas that subscribes Methadone? Thank you for your help ## Have you considered a possible switch to Suboxone? It has been very successfully used to enable people to become completely drug free, rather than staying dependent on something, as often happens with Methadone. Suboxone Doctors Portland Oregon Accepting Medicare Ins
I am looking for a list of Suboxone providers in the Portland Oregon area that accept Medicare as payment. Suboxone for Pain Management specifically. ## There is no specific list of doctors that prescribe it for pain management, because actually any doctor can prescribe it for that, just like Methadone. The specialty lists are just for those that need it for addiction treatment. Learn more Suboxone details here. However, the problem you may run into is if you are contacting doctors and wanting them to prescribe a specific medication, because most doctors will consider that drug seeking behavior. The best thing you can do is find a pain management specialist that accepts your Medicare and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. If they see what has and hasn't wor... ...

I have a unique situation. I am a recovering addict with severe chronic pain. I have really bad scoliosis that's in my neck and back and been in several really bad car wrecks. Lets just say I'm a tree magnet when riding with other people. I have been on suboxone and subutex for the last 2 years. And before and during that I was going to the pain clinic for my back and neck pain. I was prescribed 120 10mg oxycodone and 120 60mg Morphine. Before all that I was Doing like 6 to 10 80mg OxyContin and 6 to 10 200mg morphine a day off the street from age 16-24. how much discount can i get on 8mg buprenorphine sunlingual pills
Buprenorphine is very expensive and my insurance doesn't cover it. How much can I get a diacount for 8mg sublingual pills or is there a substitute medication for it? It is so expensive that I am contemplating on switching to methadone. Thank you. ## Hello, Christopher! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. This website does not manufacture, prescribe or sell any medications, it is an information only website. As to the Suboxone, I am not aware of any assistance programs for it, unless someone is uninsured. Have you tried asking your pharmacist if there is some help that may be available? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

Starting Suboxon after six months in recovery
Have had major chronic pain for several years now, was on oxy for about 3 years, then Dilaudid and Methadone when the Oxy no longer helped. Got so addicted had to go to treatment to get off the stuff. Have been in recovery since Feb 2009, but dr wants me to start taking the 2 mg tabs twice a day starting tomorrow for the pain. Have been reading through the info and comments and am kind of freaked out. Is this truly a good chronic pain medication? I am not going thru any type of wd at this point, the one in treatment was almost more than I could bear and I don't know that I could make it through that again. ## Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, an opiate and an opiate agonist. How to get prescribed Subutex?
Ready to stop taking loratabs ## Have you asked your doctor about using Subutex to get off the Lortab? Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. In the event that you can't get Subutex, I'd even consider cutting the Lortabs into smaller fractions so you can take a partial dose to help ween down and lessen your need for more addicting meds like Subutex. I only say that because I've been reading a number of posts stating how some people use Suboxone, Subutex, & Methadone to get off one med and they ironically end up getting addicted to those one's as a result of taking them for so long. My suggestion is to take your time tapering off, but your doctor would probably h... ...
