I have been on 8 mg/2mg Suboxone strips for 1 year. I am having a tooth (back molar) extraction in the morning. I used my Suboxone strip this morning & the tooth extraction is at 9:30 am tomorrow. If I don't use another Suboxone strip before the extraction, would I be able to use Hydrocodone after my surgery? I don't want to get sick, but I am terrified of going through this surgery with no pain meds. Please help. ## should be 48 hrs to alow to leave your system ## So if I took a 10 mg Hydrocodone after not taking a Suboxone for 24-28 hours, will it throw me into withdrawals? That would do me in after surgery to end up in wd's. ## Sorry to say but 8 mg of Suboxone is way stronger then any hydrocodone. It would take a year for you to even feel the effects. Tolerance takes... ...

I took an 8mg suboxone strip this morning around 8 am and im still in withdrawal and it is now 5:30. Can i take a oxycodone without throwing myself into hard withdrawal? I had different people tell me different things. ## Hi tara, Timing is really going to vary for each individual, so that's probably why you keep hearing different feedback. However my opinion based on the reviews I'm seeing here on MedsChat is that it might be a good idea to wait at least a few days after taking the Subuxone before having an opiate like Oxycodone. I think this is largely due to Buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours, as reported by So as long as the Suboxone is still active in your body, that seems to me like the best way to determine whether it's ok take Oxycodone o... ...

I am prescribed fentanyl 25mcgs/hr. Sometimes I have trouble keeping the patch on. I had a couple fall off early this month and couldn't get my refill early. So I decided I would use Subxn to help if there was withdrawal. It worked good, but now it's time for me to stop and put back on my patch. I don't know how long I have to wait. I took 2mgs yesterday at 3pm. It's now 1pm. Is it too soon? ## You will be fine to take it, 2mg is a really low dosage- I take a-more than that. Suboxin is a opiate blocker- your patch may not seem as strong but I doubt it- If you take suboxin over a period of time 3days or more - then your patch would be a waste. That low of a dose will not effect that patch 2-day. But if you hadden take a 8mg gram suboxin- I would suggest wating 2days befor... ...

I took a small amount of a 2 mg suboxone strip about an hour ago. I didn't want to take it, but my friend is one of those pushy types who insisted. It was roughly between 1-2 milligrams... I went in my bedroom and spit into a cup for a few minutes without him knowing. If i take a little Roxy for my back problems in an hour or so, will I feel it? Thanks ## Hello, Marcus! How are you? Giving into peer pressure can be very dangerous. Really, you've no way of knowing if what they're giving you is actually what they claim it is, they could be giving you something very dangerous. Suboxone is also listed by the FDA as containing Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so it is very potent and most commonly used to treat drug addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to b... ...

how long it takes to feel opiates after taking suboxone
1 Reply RSS
If u take a 4mg suboxone at 8am in the morning before work and sweat alot and drink alot of water u could take opiates around 10pm that night and u will feel it but not nearly as much as if u just wait for the next day. Also alot of ppl including myself think u can push through by using more but its just waste of money. The sub will block it and its very dangerous because you can overdose very easily because your putting the opiates in your system but not feeling it but you can still od, also if you used subs for a few days in a row ot takes a little longer for the sub to get out of your system like another 12 to 24 hours. Also your tolerance goes down really quick just as fast as ur tolerance goes up it goes down just as quick. My personal experience I was taking subs for 3 weeks and w... ...

Taking suboxone after norco
4 Replies RSS
I have been on 16 mg of suboxone for almost a month. Last night I took 3 norco 10 mgs at the same time. It has been 15 hours can I take my suboxone? ## From what I've seen on other threads, it seems like most people recommend waiting until the norco is completely out of your system before taking suboxone (which may be an estimated 24-48 hours based on how much you took). So yeah, I get the sense that you're on the right track, but if it were me I'd probably try to wait it out for another day or so (may be easier said than done). There's also something called a Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) which you can look up online that asks you a series of questions to help you better determine when you might be in withdrawals and therefore ready to use suboxone. how long does suboxone block diazepam elavil & lexapro. ## Hello, Silver Fox2! How are you? It does not block those medications. Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the Naloxone only blocks the effects of other opiates to prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it and the Buprenorphine takes their place on the opiate receptors in the brain. My son has been on suboxone for over 1 year now. He was a herion addict for over 12 years. Been clean off and on during that time. I have seen a personality change in him which is almost intolerable. It is like he is fine one minute and then goes off the wall the next. Has anyone who has been on suboxon or knows someone who has been seen a personality change. ## These types of personality changes can occur with the use of any opiate. They are, however, not usually so severe if the medication is not being abused. Suboxone, which contains the active ingredient Buprenoprhine is a very potent drug. Have you checked on his use of it? Is he following the doctor's instructions or is he taking more than he is supposed to? Personality changes could also be a result of withdrawal symptoms. So... ...
