how long after taking suboxone...
I am prescribed fentanyl 25mcgs/hr. Sometimes I have trouble keeping the patch on. I had a couple fall off early this month and couldn't get my refill early. So I decided I would use Subxn to help if there was withdrawal. It worked good, but now it's time for me to stop and put back on my patch. I don't know how long I have to wait. I took 2mgs yesterday at 3pm. It's now 1pm. Is it too soon? ## You will be fine to take it, 2mg is a really low dosage- I take a-more than that. Suboxin is a opiate blocker- your patch may not seem as strong but I doubt it- If you take suboxin over a period of time 3days or more - then your patch would be a waste. That low of a dose will not effect that patch 2-day. But if you hadden take a 8mg gram suboxin- I would suggest wating 2days befor... ...

How long does suboxone @ 16mgs for 4 months take to wear off? I am in severe pain, not taking suboxone, taking norco...doc wants me on morphine. I need to know as chemo starts next week ## Did you get an answer yet, or did your doctor figure it out for you? Learn more Morphine details here. ## You have no idea what youre talking about i have been taking suboxone for 6 years now. Learn more Suboxone details here. The precise time that happens can vary from person to person, depending on their own body, how much of the given drug(s) they were taking and other factors. Suboxone long term user
on oxys for 5 years for pain .a haze of 5 years of methadone and xanax for 6 years.to get off pills ..quit both cold turkey then suboxone for 5years my doc weined dwn back up twice. now im in pain and depresed and out of work afraid to tell my doc im in pain because of my past, but the truth is i know a lot about drugs i would b better off on a maintnenece pill of like 2 oxycodones a day and one zany.....really .....any advice?? ## Suboxone was designed for addicts originally but some pain suffers are taking it for pain that have problems with regular opiates. To take suboxone for pain it should be given 3 to 4 times a day. Like methadone for pain. The dosage your getting doesn't sound like its helping your pain. Are you sure your not just dependent on opiates? That's normal for... ...

suboxone abuse
My son has been on suboxone for over 1 year now. He was a herion addict for over 12 years. Been clean off and on during that time. I have seen a personality change in him which is almost intolerable. It is like he is fine one minute and then goes off the wall the next. Has anyone who has been on suboxon or knows someone who has been seen a personality change. ## These types of personality changes can occur with the use of any opiate. They are, however, not usually so severe if the medication is not being abused. Suboxone, which contains the active ingredient Buprenoprhine is a very potent drug. Have you checked on his use of it? Is he following the doctor's instructions or is he taking more than he is supposed to? Personality changes could also be a result of withdrawal symptoms. So... ...

HOW TO USE SUBOXONE AT HOME
I have ten subs. I have been taking oxycontin for pain but want to try at home to w/d. I can't discuss this with my doctor as it will affect my insurance. This is a fact..in my case... Can someone on here tell me how to use my subs? I would appreciate any answers and no lectures. How many do I need to withdraw..Thanks so much ## you have to be off the oxycontin long enough to start feeling the withdrawals, THEN, and only then, you take the suboxone. I was on a boatload of hydro, and just 2mg calmed me down. make what you have last. start with 2mg,if that doesn't help, do another 2mg. just a little goes a long way ## Suboxone contains a powerful opiate Buprenoprhine, with the agonist Naloxone. So, it can also put opiate users into withdrawals if it is not used carefully. It shoul... ...

Addiction, suboxone-opiates
Hi, my name is Rebecca. I have been using opiates for about 3 years now, but I've only been addicted to opiates for a year now. I say opiates but I go back and forth between opiates and suboxone. For the past year I have been using suboxone almost everyday(supplied by boyfriend) and he does it too. Last week my boyfriend and I went through a nasty breakup and he hasn't been giving me anymore suboxone or using it himself either. We were together 5 years and were happy(I'm absolutely devastated.) snd we also LIVE TOGETHER. however, I could go on about what's been going on in the relationship and how upset I have been, and him just going out and partying like nothing happened, but that's not why I'm typing this. So back to last week, we broke up and quit taking subo... ...

On Fentanyl How Long To Wait Take Suboxone
i am on 100 mcg fentanyl patch every 48 and given the certain amount of waste each month with one or more galling off and whatnot i keep a couple suboxone from an old script on hand. how long should i wait to take a half an eight mg sub.??? thank you in advance ## To prevent them falling off, you might want to try using some waterproof medical tape to help keep them on, they also sell a clear sticky patch that can be used over them and it is fine to do so, unless your doctor has given you specific instructions not to. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Learn more Suboxone details here. How Long Till Suboxone Is Out Of My System
I was put on suboxone after two years of narcotics from three bad and failed shoulder surgeries. I started in March, April was on 1 pill a day and May 2 weeks 1/2 pill 2 weeks 1/4 my last dose was thursday. my shoulder dislocated again and need something but I don't want to be ill. any suggestions? the pharmacist says its out in 24-36 hrs but now I don't know. any suggestions? ## The main concern is actually the Naloxone, since that is what neutralizes opiates to prevent anyone abusing them, while they are under treatment with the Suboxone. Naloxone actually has a fairly short half-life of only a little over an hour and it takes approximately 5 to 6 half-lives for something to be eliminated from the body, so it would be gone in about 6 to 7 hours. The Buprenorphine, which is the... ...

Does anybody know much about soboxone? my girlfriend isn't prescribed them and gets them from a junky friend that uses the desolveable ones for under the tongue. Suboxone to get off opiates (and sub) FOREVER ..??!
Hello all. I am a 22 year old mama to a 10 month old baby. I desperately need to get off opiates.. I mean, my situation pales in comparison to some...but withdrawals are withdrawals all the same. I'm hoping for some helpful advice and tips! I've only been addicted to opiates for about 9 months. I got tabs from my OB after birth, then my boyfriend starting getting tabs, Percs, oxy, roxy....from friends, not prescribed :/ only taking about 30-60 mg a day. Not as bad as some but quitting cold turkey really kills me! Not only am I a mother I am a young professional as well with a great job. I actually just got a raise sooo definitely can't let them down by missing work to detox, besides that I have a wonderful baby who requires and deserves my full attention and I want the energ... ...

Withdrawl From Opiates And Using Suboxone
I've been abusing vicodin and percocet for over 7 years. I'm fed up with it all, but terrified BEYOND TERRIFIED of telling my doctor about it, for fear of losing my kids. I turned to a friend who takes Suboxone and she is helping me enormously......I'm on day 4 of only 4 mg per day. Anyone know if I go through the "proper channels" if I will lose my kids over this? I'd much rather be doing it under a doctor's care, but my friend helping me was pretty blunt and said that she had to LIE about the amount she was taking in order to get help in the first place. I've tried cold turkey many times and got scared to death when it lasted for more than a week...normally withdrawals were only lasting me a few days. I'm in over my head, and trying everything in my... ...

can i take soma with suboxone
I am taking suboxone for chronic pain but having severe muscle spasms I am thinking about asking my pain doc for soma I have tried flexeril and zanaflex and got no relief ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? The Naloxone that is in the Suboxone along with the Buprenorphine only neutralizes other opiates. Soma is a muscle relaxant, so yes, you should be able to take it, but you do need to check with your doctor to be safe. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. Using Suboxone To Get Off And Stay Off Opiates
I was prescribed opiate painkillers for 5 years. I gradually became totally addicted to the point that while these drugs ( Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Oxycontin and others) worked well for their intended purpose, the 'good feeling" they gave me became the focal point of my life. The unavoidable physical and psychological dependence eventually led to serious and harmful consequences- damaged or ruined relationships (divorce in my case) with people who were now less important than the drugs. Responsibilities and interests I had fell by the wayside. Although I have a legitimate need for pain relief due to nerve damage caused by disease, the doctor saw that I was abusing the drugs- taking too much and using them to get high- and cut me off. The withdrawal symptoms were horrific. I went ... ...
