Small white round pill with the numbers 54 755 on the same side. ## I was using perk 10s for over a year and having a hard time coming off this opiate being told if wanting to be free of this addiction and using subutex the right way will be very helpful in my recovery ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, and they list it as containing 2mgs of Buprenorphine, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction, and to treat some forms of chronic pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How soon can I take subutex after taking hydrocodone? ## Hello, Becky! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before you can safely take Subutex. Taking it too soon may cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addition, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thats not true. You don't have to be in full withdrawal for Subutex. Suboxone is the one u have to wait for to take. Subutex does not have the blocker (Naloxone) in it. So you can take it before u feel like s*** ## I think there is some truth to what Verwon said, though indivi...

Was on methadone fir 3 months and I've been off of it fir 1 month but I've been doing other opiates to get me through the withdrawal. I'm looking into taking subutex and wanted to no if I can take one right away or do I have to wait 24hrs for the opiates to get out of my system. ## Hello, Tiny! How are you? Subutex only contains Buprenorphine, it does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone to cause withdrawal, so it does not require the waiting period. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What has your doctor advised? ## Have not spoke with a doctor regarding this matter. One more question, if I am on subutex for a couple days, do I have to wait to ...

I've taken subutex for a long time know for chronic pain, in my opinion it's been awesome. I just had surgery. My surgeon was very forthcoming about everything. My issue now is can I go back to subutex after my last dousing of oxycodone 20s and 20s timed released. I've done it before but opposite, like when I was on subutex I had taken oxycodone but im freaking myself out because of everything I'm reading... every one makes it seem completely different.... It's not suboxone.... it's subutex. It really bothers me when people put it in same category, they assume it's the same. But I have way to many stitches to be throwing up.. ## Hello, Shay! How are you? Subutex contains Buprenorphine, which can also block other opiates from working or throw someone into prec...

Hi, I've been prescribed opiates for years now. With a few breaks between (with Subs, methadone, etc) after weaning my usage down. I took 2 days of methadone. Can I still take 2 mg (and slowly increase) my subutex use 24hrs after my last dose of 30mg methadone? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Just like when starting Suboxone, you have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Subutex, unless your doctor directs otherwise, or it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. It's been a bout 80 hrs since I took Methadone fir a week straight. I've been on Subutex for 2 yrs. I just wanna feel better. I have 3 kids and a job. Please help me. When will my Subutex work again ## Hi Evam, Sorry to hear about your situation. I realize it's been over a month since you posted this. How are you feeling now? Much better I hope!? Anyhow, according to MedsChat's half-life calculator, methadone has an average half-life of 37.5 (roughly three days). I've also heard from some medical professionals that it may take up to five half-life cycles for a medication to be completely out of your system ['hair' probably being an exception]. So 37.5 x 5 half-life's = 187.5 hours (or about a weeks time). I think it's always a good idea to double chec...

What the difference between Buprenorphine with Naloxone and Buprenorphine without Naloxone ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? That is the difference. once contains the Naloxone to help prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it and the other doesn't. Naloxone isn't safe for everyone, particularly pregnant women, or someone who is allergic to it, so a different option has to be available for them. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It could be anywhere from a week to about a month, before you start to feel more normal. I tried taking a suboxone 2 days after my last dose of methadone but am now in withdrawal. Can I take methadone now to bring me out? ## @JD To my knowledge there shouldn't be a problem with taking methadone "after" suboxone. Apparently if it's the other way around (suboxone "after" methadone), only then would you have to wait it out for several days in order to avoid being put into immediate withdrawals. I've also seen comments from other patients going from suboxone to methadone within a 24 hour period who said that they were completely fine and didn't experience any problems with sickness or withdrawal. But if you have personal experience going through this process that may be any different from what I've witnessed, please do post your feedback on t...

If I get prescribed the sublingual film could I ask the pharmacy to dispense the generic tablets ## No Nate. They won't switch out. Subutex is a completely different script. ## @nate, It probably wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I'm not mistaken, your doctor may have to be the one to make that request prior to writing your 'next' prescription. Usually the pharmacy will only give you what they have on the shelf at that time unless your doctor makes a point of notifying them on the script that you want a specific form of the medication. Do the sublingual films not work as well for you? ## I have a white round pill with the markings GPI A5 says to be Subutex. Is that so?

Subutex Buprenorphine

Buprenorphine/naloxone, sold under the brand name Suboxone among others, is a fixed-dose combination medication that includes buprenorphine and naloxone.[2] It is used to treat opioid use disorder, and reduces the mortality of opioid use disorder by 50% (namely by reducing the risk of overdose on full-agonist opioids such as heroin or fentanyl).[2][4][5] It relieves cravings to use and withdrawal symptoms.[6] Bupr...

My dr is changing me to methodone tablets from subutex for pain managment I dont wonr to withdrawal at all how can I transition ## Hello, Penny! How are you? Didn't your doctor provide you with details on how to do so? Generally, it will take a few days for Subutex to process out of your body, so the Methadone can work. Usually, they advise 72 hours, but it can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## U can take methadone right after. The next day. You won't feel much at first but you can take it. ## I hate that your docter is switching you to Methadone the withdrawals from that stuff is the worse I would not recommend that to anyone I...

Is this pill supposed to be swallowed or put under the tongue? I had gotten a couple from the hospital and the nurses couldn't even tell me what I was supposed to do with them. Please help me figure out what to do. ## This is listed as being a sublingual tablet that is meant to be dissolved under the tongue, though there is no harm if it is swallowed, it will just take a bit longer to work, if you do so. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took an 8 mlg subutex about 24 hours ago. Is it safe to take roxicodone or other pain meds? ## No, they need to be separated by about 72 hours, in order for the other pain medications to be effective. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Subutex has no opiate blocker in them so you should be fine... suboxone on the other hand has an opiate blocker therefore depending on your body's tolerance and whatever you may or may be able to take other opioids... But I know from experience Subutex is different from suboxone, another opiate medication should work. ## I took a 1/4 dose of Buna...
