It is a white round pill with no markings except for a score line in the middle on one side ## Hi lois, Here in the U.S. the lowest I've seen online are only 5 and 10mg generic doses. I can argue though that there is an article on a study done here in the states, where cancer patients were randomly assigned to receive methadone 7.5 mg orally every 12 hours for 4 weeks. So I do believe it is available, but maybe only prescribed under specific circumstances. I could be wrong, but as of yet I have not come across anything stating otherwise. Both pills contain 10 mg of Methadone hydrochloride. Neither of these are extended release or stronger than the other. You should actually place them as far back as possible, to the very end of your tongue, just short of choking on it and drink the water immediately.
