all i want to no is what does this med have in it i broke my wrist and now i am trying to wing myself off and it is making me sick please let me know thank you annette riggs ## I don't know what dosage you are on, there are several available, but all Lortab and generic equivelents contain Acetaminophen and the narcotic pain reliever Hydrocodone. So that would explain why you have problems stopping it, Hydrocodone, like any narcotic, is very addictive. I would advise speaking to your doctor, they should be able to help you with ways to wean off and alleviate the dependence symptoms that you are experiencing.

White Lortab is there any over the counter Meds to help it work? Meds have Been change from pink lortabs, to blue to white. Each time it gets worst. What is the highest dose of lartaps cuz i got 10s but it seems like it wasnt working then i got 7.5 then it kickedmme in the butt ## Lortab contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, while the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, there is a reason that Acetaminophen is also in them and part of that reason is due to the fact that it helps the narcotic work better. That said, how much Acetaminophen was in each of the tablets you took? ## You might also check to see if you were given percocet instead of lortab. Percocet sometimes works better for people than lortab though there are only slight differences. For me lortab works best. 10's are the highest.

I have been taking 10 mg. 4xday (prescribed) and would like to see how I feel without them, as I just feel drugged up all of the time. If so, you may be past side effects and into permanent organ damage, so you need to seek medical attention. Even the lowest dosage of these contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen in each tablet, along with the narcotic Hydrocodone and that comes out to 58,500mgs in a week and it is considered toxic at anything over 4,000mgs in a day, which would be only 28,000mgs in a week. How long do they still in your body ## Because that answer depends on so many underlying factors (i.e weight, age, metabolism, diet, etc), the best you can do is go off an estimated guess on when it'll be out of your body. In many cases I've read about on here, it seems to pretty much go unnoticed on drug panels after 3 to 7 days of not having anything at all. On the contrary, some diagnostics can still find it in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. But if this isn't a concern to you then I wouldn't sweat the time frame at all. The colors, shapes, and size can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I have been taking this medication and 100mgs of morphine plus alot of other meds for different reasons after a horrific car accident. I stopped the morphine bc I can't be a zombie I have disabled twins. It took awhile to get off the morphine. Now they wanna just stop giving Lortabs tens to me cold turkey. I have autistic twins to care for I have to be able to walk and stand up. Is there anything for pain they can give that will help? Ultram. And those drugs have bad affects on me.

Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. I post this somewhere on this site but can not find it. My story id that my l was taking 7.5 lortabs 3x day. But, The Tabs were not letting me sleep at night. So, I ask him to put me on percocets and he wrote me 2 perscription for each mouth. I filled one of them and i still have the other one. But, I realized i could not stay awake during the day on percocets. So, I started taking them at night and tabs during the day.( Had 5 refills left of the tabs and i decided to fill the tabs. I have been on lortabs for about 10 years,i am going to try an just get off them cold turkey but i have been priscribed 10mg.of methadone to take 1 at night,my question is why cant i stop the lortab an then like day 2 of withdraw take a methadone an then maybe 1 or 2 more times during that week.I havent taken the methadone yet and i dont want to take it ,only a couple times to try an help with the tab withdraws,CAN THIS WORK? ## I understand your concern, because the Methadone itself can be highly addictive, so you don't want to just end up trading one medication for another. How long does it take for lortabs to expire?And can u still take them? ## Once they have been dispensed to you, in a pharmacy container that means they are exposed to the elements, they are good for one year from that date. Learn more Lortab details here. They don't get dangerous once they are past the expiration date, but they do degrade with time, so they will gradually lose effectiveness. are Lortabs still in use? My pharmicist said they were no longer made. ## The FDA has asked dr to no longer prescribe it with 500 mg acetaminophen but instead to use the mandated reduced 325 mg acetaminophen. The FDA has also asked pharmacists to contact the drs if a rx is written for the 500 mg before filling it. The hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Lortab, Vicodin, Norco) are still made. But, the amount of acetaminophen has been reduced. ## So can you take a Tylenol to get the same results since they lowered it to 325? What does 10-5 mean on Lortabs? My prescription doesn't seem to be working for my pain and I was wondering if it meant Lortab 10 mg or Lortab 5 mg. So if it is 5 I can get a stronger MG ## What it seems to be is that your doctor was prescribing the tablets with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. I could be wrong, since I am not a medical professional, but I have seen it abbreviated this way before, from other similar posts.
