I've been on Norcos 10 mg on and off for the last three years. I take any where from 4 to 8 a day and I'm only 20 years old. My friend gave me an 8 mg Suboxone strip a few weeks ago and I've been wanting to get clean for so long. I feel like this time I need help. I ran out of money yesterday and I don't get paid until tomorrow. My withdrawal was so bad that I took my last does yesterday at 3 pm. I was so sick this morning but too scared to take the Suboxone because of everything I read about it and how it could make you so sick, I took a piece of it, about 2 mg, at 11:30. It had been 20 hours since my last Norco but I slept 9 of those hours. I was sick enough that I took a chance and within an hour all my withdrawal symptoms were gone. I now feel completely fine. I'...

Hello everyone, I have been on Suboxone 8/2, twice a day for over 5 years. I want to get off it but I have major health compications. I've had major depression my whole life. My last psychiatrist put me on several other drugs for my depression. One of them is an amphetamine called Vyvanse. (70 mg.) I'm also on 4 mg of clonazepam, 200 mg. of pristiq and Dexilant for acid reflux. I have a history of a negative lipid profile. In addition, I have high blood pressure. I'm also 60 years old. I know that I should never stop anythin suddenly. I have been unable to find asome out of the physician to supervise the withdrawal from anything. I am really afraid that Suboxone withdrawal will trigger a heart attack or stroke because everytime I try to taper down, My heart starts pounding i...

Without insurance I'm between jobs ## Hello, Philly! How are you? You would still need to pay for the doctor visits, but there is an assistance program for those who are uninsured for the Suboxone film, you can call for more information on how to apply, 888-898-4818. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. I have not tried them togather and am just seeking a second opinion. I h...

My ex is telling everyone at my work (Hannaford) that I'm prescribed suboxone. If they fire me for that how can I sue her and the company??? Please help! VERY IMPORTANT I get a answer very soon! ## You can't sue your wife, it is is true. Your employer may or may not be able to fire you after they receive proof that you are being treated for drug addiction. If you are asked to provide proof and you don't, they can fire you for not providing proof. ## Tell her to shut her mouth! That is your private business and Yes you can be fired. They can say it was for something else. Believe me! It happened to me. ## You should tell your employer you are on Suboxone for nerve damage. I was prescribed it for pain and it works great. They use it in Europe for pain all the time. Naloxone is...

Ready to stop taking loratabs ## Have you asked your doctor about using Subutex to get off the Lortab? Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. In the event that you can't get Subutex, I'd even consider cutting the Lortabs into smaller fractions so you can take a partial dose to help ween down and lessen your need for more addicting meds like Subutex. I only say that because I've been reading a number of posts stating how some people use Suboxone, Subutex, & Methadone to get off one med and they ironically end up getting addicted to those one's as a result of taking them for so long. My suggestion is to take your time tapering off, but your doctor would probably h...

i get my script on the 10th, i am going out of state for vacation, and they are 2 days early, due on the 12th. ## The best thing to do would be to consult your prescribing doctor to see if they will authorize an early refill. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Did they allow you to get it early?

I'm nervous to start the new meds. the only thing I've heard about suboxone is people with serious addiction problems use it. I only take at the most 20mg of oxycodone a day, which I've been told to stop taking before putting on the patch of 5mg.... My doctor has told me to wait 2 days but I've heard anywhere from 24 hours, to 8 hours or wait until you start to feel sick from the withdraw.... I just want to know if anyone else has been transitioned this way? ## Hello, Jane! How are you? You do need to be in full withdrawal, before you can start using Suboxone. The reason for this is due to it containing the opiate Buprenorphine with Naloxone, which neutralizes other opiates, to prevent someone abusing them, when being treated with it for addiction. The FDA warns that it ...

how long does suboxone block diazepam elavil & lexapro. ## Hello, Silver Fox2! How are you? It does not block those medications. Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the Naloxone only blocks the effects of other opiates to prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it and the Buprenorphine takes their place on the opiate receptors in the brain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took 2 8 mlg strips rhis morning I got months ago incase I ran out and I went to the doctor the other day and he prescribed me 1...

Hi my name is Janelle. I am 33yrs old. I have been on mmt for 13yrs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I need a doctor to treat my pain from having ulcers. I just had surgery and i am really sick with diarrhea and vomiting. I have panic disorder with agoraphobia. I was molested by my father and my mother disowned me for having bipolar. I had a nervous meltdown and was thrown to the street. Please help me. ## I don't think it's fair that ppl get to be prescribed suboxone in the comfort of a private doctors setting and get a monthly perscription when they can sell their medication for $$$ ....but if your on methadone and have a clean urine you can't get a monthly prescription and have to report to a place everyday, standing in a long line which you are exposed in a public facility...

I've been on suboxone for about a month. Before I decided to face my addiction of over 10 years of opiate pain killers, I was on 80MG of Ms contin 3Xs daily, 40 of oxy as needed every 4 hours, Norco 10s 1 or 2 pills as needed every 4 hours, Xanax, Lyrica and a few others. First my doctor started me on 1\2 tablet 2Xs a day. It wasn't enough so he went up to 3xs a day. It still wasn't helping. He wouldn't raise it so I switched doctors. Now I'm currently at two 8mg tabs a day. Still it doesn't seem to be enough. What can I do? What is the average daily dose of suboxone? ## Hello, Jaycee! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. The maximum dosage is usually 24/6mgs a day, doses higher than that haven't been shown to have any clinical...

I was an opiate addict for numerous different years and I went to inpatient and outpatient rehab but they never gave me suboxone. The second I got out of rehab I did more opiates, and I did them for another year or so and I tried suboxone and that is what I stuck with. Well it is getting very expensive and I was not getting myself off it very good and now I am pretty much addicted to that. If I can't find suboxone I usually find another opiate to take. My main question is, if I go to an outpatient rehab, is there anyway I could still get suboxone? I want to get off suboxone and other opiates and I do believe this would be the way to do it. Suboxone withdrawl is rough so any thoughts or anything would be appreciated! ## Hi Andy, I don't know how the outpatient clinic type places ...

I am on 8 mg og Suboxone a day. I take it at 6am. I know it should last atleast 24 hrs, but it seems as if I go to sleep during the day, I wake up sick. Is this possible, that when I'm sleeping my body burns off the suboxone quicker? ## No, that doesn't make any sense. When you are asleep, your metabolism actually slows down, so if anything, it should take longer to process a medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about this problem? It is highly possible that the current 8mg dosage you are on isn't enough for you. Another problem that may cause you to wake up sick, has to do with the same slowing of your metabolism when you sleep. And it has to do with if you are eating or drinking anything, before you lay down. Are you doing this? When you do this, the items you ingest...

I have been on suboxone for 8 years now. B 4 that, I was on methadone for almost 5 years. I had a lot of surgeries and have a lot of medical problems. I was on pain management (opiates) for 10 years and became an addict. I'm afraid if I get off the suboxone I'll b back on opiates. Due 2 the pain I suffer. How long can I stay on suboxone. Has anybody else been on it 4 a long time? I just don't want 2 b back 2 where I was or go through what I did ever again. ## Hi Cats, Thanks for sharing your story, and sorry to hear about your situation. While there is no single right answer for how long you should be on Suboxone for, this is usually determined on an individual basis in consultation with a knowledgeable doctor. From what I've been reading online, Suboxone tends to work b...

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug. ## If you are that desperate for help, then why are you worried about being specific about the thing you use for assistance? Suboxone Buprenorphine

Buprenorphine/naloxone, sold under the brand name Suboxone among others, is a fixed-dose combination medication that includes buprenorphine and naloxone.[2] It is used to treat opioid use disorder, and reduces the mortality of opioid use disorder by 50% (namely by reducing the risk of overdose on full-agonist opioids such as heroin or fentanyl).[2][4][5] It relieves cravings to use and withdrawal symptoms.[6] Bupr...

I'm going through it, 29yrs old. Tried it one time since 2011. I'm tired and want to do it. Thanks ## It depends how much Suboxone you've been taking each day and how long you've been taking it. Can you please post back with more details? Has your doctor given you a tapering schedule? The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addition, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I just wanted to take a moment to say. I've been reading all this string of info and I keep going back to the same thought. I was prescribed Hydrocodone for Severe TMJ & TMD etc. In other words my jaw is really messed up.
