suboxone and methadone dosing
When can I have my suboxone I had 40 mg methadone 7 hrs. ago ## Hello, Teri! How are you? You should follow the instructions provided by your doctor. Suboxone cannot be taken, until you are in full withdrawal from the abused drug of choice. Because along with the narcotic Buprenorphine, it also contains Naloxone, to prevent the abuse of other opiates, while you are being treated with it, so taking it too soon could throw you into severe, dangerous withdrawals. Learn more Suboxone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

taking suboxone and phenergan
need to kno if i can take 4mg suboxone ang 50mg phenergan? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to the active ingredients in each of those medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using promethazine (phenergan) together with buprenorphine (suboxone) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Suboxone in combo with Viibryd
Does anyone know if you can take suboxone in combo with the anti depressant Viibryd? ## You should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain, but I am not finding any interactions listed between the two medications. Have they been prescribed by the same doctor? ## Yes you may take the suboxone and viibryd together. I work for a doctor that has prescribed both for a patient. However you need to make sure you report any side effects to your physician. Some people do quite well and others have had a negative experience in the medications so make sure you follow up as ordered by your doc. ...

suboxone help in indianapolis
I am in Indianapolis. Is it hard to find a doctor here to prescribe suboxone? I am having a hard time finding a doctor. I have been on pain killers for years and not only want to get off them but my doctor and the whole practice is starting to deny any prescriptions for narcotics which seems to be the norm here now. I have legit pain but I would rather deal with it then be treated like a drug addict by doctors! I have tried tapering and cold turkey. I think subs are the way to go. My friend stopped using her medication with the help of subs. Can someone please give me info or help on this subject? ## Hello, Inindy! How are you? There is actually a website you can use to search for doctors in your area that treat with Suboxone, it's suboxone.com and will also provide the contact info... ...

I have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. yes there are generic Suboxone
there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ... ...

Nuvigil And Suboxone Combined
I have a friend that takes Suboxone and Klonopin at the same time....but he falls asleep EVERYWHERE all the time...so I'm considering having him try Nuvigil...What are the risks of the meds being combined? ## Well, unless you are a doctor, you shouldn't be having him try any medications, that is something that should only be done by a medical professional. That brings the relevant questions, has he talked to his doctor about the problem? Is he supposed to be taking them both, at the same time? If so, then it is highly likely that he is on too high of a dosage of one, or the other, in which case, it is much safer to adjust one of those medications, than to risk the side effects and complications associated with adding a new medication. ...

suboxone and caresource
I have been on suboxone at 8-12mg per my doc. I needed more like 16 so I switched drs. Now my new doctor upped my dosage and the pharmacy is saying g I should have 11 day supply left. CNt they fill it early if the dosage was increased? I have caresource. Thanks ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? They would need a new prescription from the doctor showing that the dosage was changed, in order to fill it early for you. They can't just take your word for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. drs in upstate SC who take medicaid for suboxone
Are there any drs in upstate SC who take medicaid for suboxone?? How long will medicaid pay for the suboxone? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I am not sure what the regulations are for Medicaid covering it. I'd suggest contacting them to check. As to the doctors, there is a search engine available at Suboxone.com click here, that you can use to search and it will include their contact information so you can call them to ask. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. i use suboxone and want to start subutex instead
i have been diagnosed with having a tumor that needs to be removed i am worried about if something were to happen suddenly that i would be unable to have surgery do to the blockades of nioxin that suboxon has and not subutex is this correct ## Suboxone has Buprenorphine & Naloxone in it. The Naloxone will partially or completely reverse any narcotic effects. Subutex only has Buprenorphine. I have chronic pain & have been on Subutex for years (34 mg per day) & have had a couple of operations in this time. I believe you would be much better off on Subutex. It would be worth talking to your Doctor about your concerns. Goodluck! ## There is not enough in this to interfere with large doses or narcotics or anesthetics. ## ineed to find a subutex dr for cronic pain i hav a bad back... ...

Suboxone in South Carolina area
I just moved here from Tn. I'm having a very hard time finding a doc. here. I've been without my meds now 6 days and I'm feeling the withdrawal affects. Please help ## Hi, You can go to the suboxone site and put in your zip code and find sub drs. in your area. You can also just google "soboxone doctors in south carolina" Theres a health law called "the 3 day rule" that lets a dr. give you suboxone for 3 days but it must be administered by doctor which means that there must be a pharmacy on site. A doctor in the emergency room at the hospital could do this if they know about this rule. I,m guessing the average doctor probably doesn,t. Good luck! ## I've been 2 the er they won't help me I've also called several clinics they won't help me until I... ...

is suboxone or methadone better?
hi i'm a 29 yr old male with chron's disease and a very high tolerance to pain relief and i was just wondering if subutex/suboxone was better than the methadone for pain management i have been on 20mg of oxys twice a day for about 6 months and they only work when i double dose or boot em up and now the doctors are talkin about putting me on the beup or methadone program and i'm not sure which one has more merit if ya know what i mean lol ## The Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is stronger and doesn't have the same addictive tendencies that the Methadone does. People who no longer need it for pain, or addiction treatment, often have better luck tapering off and becoming medication free, as compared to Methadone, where they often require a lifetime maintenance dose. The withd... ...

Suboxone and Oxycodone Rx
Hello, I have been taking Suboxone for approximately 3 weeks. I was taking opiates, legally, for four+ years but recently I had problems after surgery by increasing my dosages and eventually running out quite often which lead all my doctors to a rehab place. I went through 3 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Treatment which was complete crap but it kept me busy during the morning. I now have an Rx from my PCP who KNOWS about me being on Suboxone and said to stop the Suboxone for a couple/few days and then start the Oxy's. Here's my question: Can I fill the Rx for OxyIR when I'm going to be picking up my most recent Rx of Suboxone tomorrow? I feel like the pharmacy might be thinking it's Doctor Shopping but if they call my PCP, he knows about the Suboxone use. He desperately ... ...

suboxone/hydrocodone equivocal
Hi,Ive recently began suboxone treatment @ (8mg/2mg) twice daily, today is my 3rd day. My question is straightforward, how many mgs of suboxone is "considered" closely equal to only 80 mg of hydrocodone? Am simply trying very hard to get my dose correct, seems doctor overmedicated me during induction. I would greatly appreciate any feedback, thanks & best wishes to everyone. ## Hello, Staci! How are you? There really is no direct conversion, but the rough one that's usually used is 1.2mgs of the Buprenorphine to each 30mgs of Hydrocodone, but the person's overall tolerance to narcotics must be factored in, along with the fact that the Suboxone is dosed once a day, where the other was taken several times a day. So, that's probably why you were given the 8/2 dosage. Ha... ...

clonazepam 0 5 with suboxone 8 mil
Can you take these 2 together to sleep with out the withdraw feeling I am trying to get over. ## Hello, Brook! How are you? Yes, they can be taken together, as long as your doctor has approved it. The Naloxone in the Suboxone only neutralizes opiates. They both carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi I'm Kris I'm new in the neighborhood! I wanted to ask can you have withdrawals from xanx? ...

Dismissed from suboxone program
I don't see why it would be a big deal if I had taken subs with another doctor, I can't imagine I'm the only one that has relapsed and been dismissed before. This time I truly feel like I'm ready to quit and move on with my life. Does anyone know If i should disclose the suboxone treatment I had a few months ago??? I don't want to get kicked out of this office for not telling them the truth, but if they have no way of knowing what kind of treatment I've had in the past I would rather them not know. What should I do??? Is there a paper trail they can look at, or can my insurance blow the whistle on me? ## What is the point of wasting other people's time if your not ready to get honest.
