Out of my Suboxone.. Just moved to Boise, Id and need help big time!
I just moved to boise from georgia and figured it would be easy to get an appointment with a suboxone doctor. NO DICE! Now im completely out and im so sick its ridiculous. ive been on Suboxone for 6 years with n problems in Georgia but my doctor wont call any in!!!! If there is anyone in Boise who could help me get in to see a doc i would be so greatly indebted to u! I already went to the ER and they said "sorry...its against our policy to give any suboxone"! un f***ing believeable ## Hello, Lifer! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. No, your prior doctor can't phone in a prescription for this medication. You must be evaluated in person for them to be able to prescribe it and, unless you're in immediate life threatening danger, the ER d... ...

Pharmacist refusing to fill my script of suboxone. What do I do???
I wet to my doc 7 days early because of running out early. I took my new script to pharmacy and said, this is early so I won't be using insurance. My doc said you can call him if necessary. Well no one wanted to. They filled two per day for three days. On the third day I asked to fill the rest on insurance for the next day. I was one day early. When I called the next morning to have my daily two filled the pharmacy manager said no we won't be filling it for another 5 days. Go to the ER for your withdrawals but don't come here because I won't give it to you. Has this happened to anyone else???? ## If you run out of suboxone too soon- you might need to increase your dose? That way you won't have to worry about being out of it too soon. As for me- my doctor decided to m... ...

starting suboxone treatment
Tuesday I have an appointment scheduled with a suboxone doctor. I have became addicted to opiates in 2005 after I had surgery. I was able to sober up on my own for around a year in 2008 but I relapsed and in the past 2 years I dont think I've had even one sober day. I work, run my household, take care of my children but I just can't seem to function without something in my system. I am ready to be the person I was before I started abusing pain meds (and anything else I couls get my hands on). Im going to 3 meetings a week and a therapist to help me along the way.. but i just need someone to answer me honestly, do these really work? I don't know if I can handle living this way much longer so I really hope its "yes" ## Hi, Yes they work BUT unless you have a real bad h... ...

How to get prescribed Subutex?
Ready to stop taking loratabs ## Have you asked your doctor about using Subutex to get off the Lortab? Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. In the event that you can't get Subutex, I'd even consider cutting the Lortabs into smaller fractions so you can take a partial dose to help ween down and lessen your need for more addicting meds like Subutex. I only say that because I've been reading a number of posts stating how some people use Suboxone, Subutex, & Methadone to get off one med and they ironically end up getting addicted to those one's as a result of taking them for so long. My suggestion is to take your time tapering off, but your doctor would probably h... ...

Methadone Doctor needed in NJ
I live in Colonia NJ and I'm currently going to a clinic to get methadone. The clinic is severely interfering with my daily life. Are there any private doctors in NJ that will prescribe Methadone? I'm not looking for a suboxone doctor. Thank you ## The Methadone addiction treatment laws actually fall under federal regulations and all of them require periodic clinic visits for the patients. Private doctors are actually not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment, because they can't provide the same supervision and do not have the same training those in the clinic setting do. Therefore, you'll always have to use a clinic and there will always be a limited time period for which you can get take home doses. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Their is a doc... ...

Need help finding suboxone dr
Hi I live in northern new jersey clifton, rutherford, nutley area and need a good doctor that will prescribe suboxone so I can get off oxycontin. Went to one dr and she wouldn't take me on as a patient. She wanted me to titrate down to a very low dose. I take 3 80mg oxy's a day and have been for many years. Really want to get off of this stuff. will pay cash if have to. ## Well, in such cases, most doctors are going to want you to just taper off of the Oxycontin, because it is easier and safer. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Suboxone is not meant to be used to treat someone that has only been using the prescribed amounts of a medication, it is very potent and is meant to be used by people that have been abusing a medication and taking very large amounts of it. i need answers about suboxone
my wife has been taking high MGs pain killers! her last dose was 2 am she ran out and took a suboxone and says it didnt make her feel better what shout i do????? ## I would speak with her doctor, Suboxone is highly addictive. If she is also taking other pain killers, it could be very dangerous for her. To learn more about Suboxone click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## The reason it did not make her feel better is because you have to be in slight to moderate withdrawal for Suboxone to work properly. Taking it too soon can actually throw you into worse withdrawal symptoms. ## Please, I need info! My son's girlfriend is pregnant and is on suboxin since Mar. She might already be 4 mths, but I am conserned about my... ...

methadone doctors hickory nc
I have been addicted to pain pills for nearly 20 yrs. can anyone tell me a good methadone doctor in hickory NC. ## Hi, Coy! If you are looking to use it to break your addiction, then you will have to go to a Methadone clinic, a private physician isn't allowed to prescribe it for that under the current laws. To be used to treat addiction, it has to be used under the supervision of those that are specially trained in using it for that in a clinical setting. Have you considered treatment with Suboxone? They have a website at suboxone.com with a feature that will let you search for doctors in your area and it only requires monthly visits to the doctor, with counseling, rather than daily visits like the Methadone clinics. Learn more Suboxone details here. It also has the added bonus of e... ...

Success - so far -Suboxone
Hi all. For 5 years I gradually increased my oxycodone use. I have a degenerative back disorder. The pain is there but I used oxycodone as a crutch. It got worse and worse from 2 5 mg a day to 3 to 5 and ending in 2 30 mg a day costing me 100s of dollars a month. I finally reached out to my psychiatrist who set me up with a suboxone doctor. I took my last 7.5 oxycodone at 2 pm yesterday. Dr said to wait 12 hrs as did alllll the Internet info. I was sick in w/d by 8pm. Was scared to death of this nightmarish precipitated w/d I read about. At 8:30 pm I took 2 mg suboxone as the dr said to start with. Omg I was feeling better. 10 pm another 2 mg and I was AMAZED at how I felt. I didn't sleep very well BUT I'll take that ANYDAY over wondering how to get the next oxy. This morning I ... ...

Methadone and suboxone
If u run out of suboxone, can u take a cap full of methadone? If so, how long the wait before taking suboxone again? ## Hello, Papotimbal! How are you? The Naloxone in the Suboxone is likely to just neutralize the Methadone, that's actually why it's used in it, to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is under treatment with it. And, if you have a treatment contract with your doctor, taking the Methadone may also violate that. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

suboxone and methadone
i am starting on suboxone next week...one of these messages says never tell the suboxone doctor you were at one time on methadone..why is that so,if it is ? ## I've never heard anyone say such a thing, nor have I read it anywhere. I am guessing it may have come from someone that was abusing it, rather than using it for treatment. There are many people who have successfully switched from Methadone treatment to Suboxone treatment to finally beat their addiction problems. With Methadone, they usually end up needing a lifetime maintenance dose and never get completely drug free. This is not true, however, of the Suboxone and for proper treatment, you should always be honest with your doctor. Please post back and let us know how you are doing! ## iv been to several suboxone doctors and i... ...

suboxone treatment closest to zip code 72512
I've been on hydrocarbon since accident resulting in botched back surgery in New Orleans (after Katrina) moved to Ash Flat suboxone Arkansas. Need a doc who prescribes suboxone for chronic pain. ## Hello, CajunConnie! How are you? There is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Most will also not want you to jump from Hydrocodone straight to Suboxone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone for pain management? If so, that might be the easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? ...

suboxone and methadone dosing
When can I have my suboxone I had 40 mg methadone 7 hrs. ago ## Hello, Teri! How are you? You should follow the instructions provided by your doctor. Suboxone cannot be taken, until you are in full withdrawal from the abused drug of choice. Because along with the narcotic Buprenorphine, it also contains Naloxone, to prevent the abuse of other opiates, while you are being treated with it, so taking it too soon could throw you into severe, dangerous withdrawals. Learn more Suboxone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. taking suboxone and phenergan
need to kno if i can take 4mg suboxone ang 50mg phenergan? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to the active ingredients in each of those medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using promethazine (phenergan) together with buprenorphine (suboxone) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Suboxone in combo with Viibryd
Does anyone know if you can take suboxone in combo with the anti depressant Viibryd? ## You should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain, but I am not finding any interactions listed between the two medications. Have they been prescribed by the same doctor? ## Yes you may take the suboxone and viibryd together. I work for a doctor that has prescribed both for a patient. However you need to make sure you report any side effects to your physician. Some people do quite well and others have had a negative experience in the medications so make sure you follow up as ordered by your doc. ...

suboxone help in indianapolis
I am in Indianapolis. Is it hard to find a doctor here to prescribe suboxone? I am having a hard time finding a doctor. I have been on pain killers for years and not only want to get off them but my doctor and the whole practice is starting to deny any prescriptions for narcotics which seems to be the norm here now. I have legit pain but I would rather deal with it then be treated like a drug addict by doctors! I have tried tapering and cold turkey. I think subs are the way to go. My friend stopped using her medication with the help of subs. Can someone please give me info or help on this subject? ## Hello, Inindy! How are you? Prescribed suboxone and xanax
I have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. yes there are generic Suboxone
there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ... ...

Suboxone and Pain medications
For the past 4 days except for today I have been taking 8mg of suboxone, today I took 3-7.5 mg of Vicodin to no effect I'm guessing because of my blocked receptors, I'm looking to just continue my suboxone use, do I have to wait even though the suboxone already blocked everything, or will I go into precipitated withdrawals because there are opiates in my system? Thx ## @Curious, If you haven't received any kind of effect from taking a single vicodin, my opinion is that you should be fine to continue using suboxone as you were. However because I am not a doctor I would still encourage you to seek professional medication advice regarding this just to be on the safe side. There are also those here who have a lot of personal experience switching between the two and can offer a m... ...
