Hi everyone, I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I had lower back issues, then I had surgery and now the pain is worse. I need a MD/PA that will help me with pain and prescribe Norco, Xanax, and Soma. If you know any in Houston and surrounding areas, please respond. ## Those are 3 drugs which are very hard to obtain. Why not look into a pain clinic in the area? ## That's where the long story comes in. I have been to 3 pain management specialist. All required physical therapy, epidural corticosteroid injection, facet injections and two of the the 3 required rhizotomy. Not to mention all the x -rays/ MRIs and diagnostics that I have taken so many times. Then you have to wait for the doctors schedule to get relief. All that being said here is one example: I went in to one doctor w...

need dialudid in houston, texas ## Hello, Angus! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, then due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, now. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that may be able to refer you to someone? That would likely be the fastest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Is there any doctor's in the houston area that prescribe oxycodone if so could someone lead in the direction would be greatly appreciated... ## I'm not familiar with the Houston area or any doctors in that location, however, I did want to let you know that calling around looking for a doctor to prescribe a certain medication will usually end in failure. Most doctors will see it as being drug seeking behavior. The best thing you can do is to see a new doctor and make sure that they receive a full copy of your medical records, so they can see what medications have and have not worked for you in the past. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Alternatively, you might also want to consider seeing a pain specialist. Learn more pain management details here. Does anyone else have any advi...

Just moved need pain mgmt. doctor who takes cash and walkins ## Hello, NewHere! How are you? I'm sorry, but due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you're not going to find a walk-in pain management clinic, anymore. They are strictly monitored by the government, now. Most will even balk if you're paying cash, because it makes it easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop. The easiest way to find the help you need would be to set yourself up with a PCP and then have them refer you to someone. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will prescribe that I can refer to for you. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? I just moved to Houston and have suffered from severe anxiety for the past ten plus years and really need to find a psychiatrist or doctor that is willing to prescribe Xanax. I'm up ALL night fighting constant anxiety attacks and it's an impossible daily struggle to get through my work day without having to stop whatever I might be doing to fend off an attack. I can't afford to lose my job and I just don't know what else to do. I refuse to buy the stuff off the sheet because I can't afford to get in trouble..... Please, any help with a doctor in Houston that will prescribe Xanax would very gratefully appreciated. ## Due to the new regulations that went into effect at the beginning of the year, if you require it for long-term treatment, you will most likely need to se...

Pain clinics with same day appointments in Houston Texas? ## Hello, Jartan555! How are you? Such clinics/doctors no longer exist. There was far too much over prescribing and improper prescribing. Now, in order to be treated for pain on a long-term ongoing basis, one must see a pain management specialist. If you are in pain and require short-term relief, until you can do so, a nearby ER would be your best bet. Is there anything else I can help with? ## you ever find one in Houston? CAme here from florida got pain killers for my leg need to find a doctor here who isnt paranoid of a dea shutdown ## Hi, Matt! How are you? Unfortunately, they all have to be paranoid about that. New regulations were put into effect this year and any doctor that doesn't abide by them risks losing his license to practice medicine. Your best bet would be to establish a relationship in your new location, with a PCP, then have them refer you to a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP, yet? ## Matt, did you ever find one? I am in Beaumont, and I too need to find a doc not afraid of narcotics. Moved here from Austin, and have a hard time finding a good doctor of nearly any kind.

I took adhd meds as a child but have not been diagnosed as an adult. Therefore I have no medical records showing an adderall rx. Unfortunately, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a specialist for such a medication. Thus, I am not sure if there's any way to do it cheaply, unless you have a low-income clinic in your area that you can use to get referred to a place with a sliding fee scale. I am seeking help in finding a good physician, either pain specialty, internal or general medicine, for my husband. I have searched online for hours, day after day and just cannot make heads or tails with all of the controversy about opioids. We need help. My husband and I moved here (Houston suburb) this year, leaving behind his PCP of 8 yrs. She handled every issue including intractable pain stemming from back surgery. Being diabetic with nerve pain and hypertensive, well around we go... Pain causes his BP to rise which in turn causes more problems. He has been under VA care but the process is ridiculously slow. I am becoming concerned over his quality of life as the change is significant. We have records, imaging, medication history, etc. Any and all help would be so appreciated.
