I was diagnoised with hypothyroidism last December and was put on Levothyroxine (75mcg). Overall I have been feeling better and have more energy. But unlike most other people with underactive thyroids I was not overweight and since going on Levothyroxine have lost 10 pounds and am continuing to lose weight. I also have developed hoarseness which gets worse as the day goes on. Question-the weight loss is a common side effect of the medication-but has anyone heard of hoarseness? I have been taking losartan for a few months and have hoarseness and feel the need to clear my throat intermittently. It’s not everyday but feels like it’s getting worse. ## I have been given losartan combo with HTZ for several years for Blood Pressure. At age 70 voice was suddenly barely there. At 72 I see no hope of regaining voice. Run to a good ENT DOCTOR who will look at your throat and vocal chords. Determine soon reason for throat issue. Medical professionals are not quick to blame a medicine that has been perscribed for you. I've noticed i have a blotchy rash on my left calf that has the clot. Is that anyway related to the clots or the Xaralto? I also noticed my voice is hoarse,is that a side effect of the medication? ## Hello, Lori! How are you? The rash is a listed side effect, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and easy bruising. However, hoarseness is not, though it does list dry throat and sore throat, which could be causing it. After starting Jardiance I developed a dry cough, hoarseness and sinus infection. The coughing was uncontrollable. Could this be a side effect? ## The FDA does warn that Jardiance has been known to cause cough, and upper respiratory tract infection as side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia, and hypotension. I have hoarse voice and short breath and asma. Can fluimucil 600 help? ## Hello, Joman! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing. Fluimicil is a mucolytic, so all it does it help expel built up mucous/congestion and the FDA lists its typical side effects as being nausea and dry mouth. It will not do anything to alleviate allergy symptoms, for that, you'd need an antihistamine. What has your doctor instructed you to take for it?

Why my doctor giving me ib throat hoaseing? ## @kishore, I've never actually heard of the term "throat hoaseing", and oddly enough I'm not finding anything on search engines relating to it either; nor anything about a "fine heal tablet". Did your doctor not explain to you what that might entail upon notifying you of the procedure? Under normal circumstances most information on medications or procedures can be found with a simple google search, however neither of the things you mentioned are showing any results when I go to look them up. Personally, I wouldn't go through with it until I was able to sit down with my doctor and go over everything in detail about why he/she is recommending it be done in the first place. I really need some help, 4 days after taking Fuoxetine I have suffered Severe Hoarseness, sfter seeing a specialist he told me my rightsude Nerve in my voice box is Paralized and now i have to undergo ct scan and chest x-ray and blood test, i know it was a sideeffect of this medication but medical people are telling me no its not. I had paralysis of left vocal cord after having a thyroidectomy. I had hoarseness and shortness of breath, which is common with the paralysis. I have since had vocal cord medialization with injection. I still have hoarseness and the shortness of breath is now worse than ever. ENT kind of brushed it aside and told me I should see a Pulmonologist to make sure Asthma is under control. For the last week shortness of breath has been REALLY bad. Saw Pulmonologist today ALL clear with my lungs. I am scheduled for a Pulmonary Function Test, so I can take results to ENT to show him at my next visit. Anyone who can relate? I am SO frustrated!

I have been taking foracort 200 2 puffs becalate 250 4 puffs twice a day.+ sambutimol 4 puffs. I have recently had a hoarse voice, which the surgeon did a biopsy this was clear. The ENT sugen has said I’m on to many inhalers and has put me on deriphyllin 150mg. I am now feeling tired, legs weak and feeling unsteady. Is this because I have stoped the inhalers. Advice would be appreciated.

My sister started taking synbicort months ago, at first she was losing her voice, now she is slurring. ## Hello, Stephanie! How is your sister? The hoarseness can be normal, when someone first starts using such a medication. However, the slurring is a concern and is something that should be checked out by her doctor. It may be nothing, or it could be due to something serious like a stroke. I've been off of it for a month now and I still have some of my symptoms, joint pain, pounding ears, swollen ankles, etc. My hoarseness disappeared after about 2 weeks or so. Drink lots of water. ## How long we're you taking it? If it was for a long period of time, it may take 6 weeks or so, for it to completely process out of your body. ## I took 80/4.5 for 1 year. My 78'year old dad just started taking candesartan and has experienced severe leg cramps. I have a constricted esophagus and swallowing pills can be a bit of a challenge. I have been on Contrave for 5 days and it has been stuck almost everyday. Currently my throat is burning and my voice is hoarse. I’m concerned the pill is just sitting in my throat slowly dissolving. I know the instructions say not to crush but has anyone tried it? Just started a 4 mg methylprednisolone pack along with Levofloxicin 500 MG for unremitting bronchitis and sinus infection. If Cartia XT has been discontinued what is the best replacement for it? ## I am still taking Cartia XT...h however I feel nauseated like I'm going to faint I have body aches constipation depression muscle weakness and hoarseness.
