The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. My wife has had severe hives for several months. Pretnazone is the only drug that gives her some relief. The hives are on her back and sides, her arms and legs are not effected. We have seen 3 allergy doctors, they have no idea how to get rid of them. Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU ## Hello, Maurice! How is your wife doing? My doc prescribed me pred 20 twice a day for 3 days only due to cough and occasional appearance of hives and at the same time he gave me erdosteine twice a day for 3 days only. my prob is I took pred 20 3 times and took erdosteine twice already but why is it that the hives appeared more than before everywhere on my body? am afraid if i take another dose of erdosteine for the 3rd time more hives would come out? how about my dry cough? what will i do?

If I am an HIV patient and taking Dinitel, will it affect me or cause a problem with the virus? ## I'd say it would because you body, if having HIV, is fighting and can not fight with out the proper nutriance.... Your body can not fight with Nutriance if it is not getting it- all due to a pill giving you the energy- to act- as if it naturally is getting it.... I believe it wouldn't be good to take this pill having HIV, for your body is confused with what to eat, it thinks it has something that is not really there---food & Nutiance. P.S.- vitamins can not make up for food with nutiance & natural vitamins in food...

Had asthma my whole life, never too bad. Got hives real bad 8 years ago. Xolair is working great for the hives. I have my life back. However, my asthma seems worse. It's hard to tell if it's from the xolair or not. Only side effect I've had is a dislike for alcohol which is fine for me, but it could be another use for this medication. ## As reported by the FDA, there is a chance that it might cause that, though it is very rare. Other more typical side effects may include dizziness, headache, back pain, fever, and hair loss. What medications do you use for the asthma?

I am responding to the person who asked if Fexofenadine would help with chronic hives. I have taken ALLEGRA for about 20 years for Hives. It is the best drug out there! Do not substitute Fexofenadine for Allegra. They do not work the same. Trust me! Try the Allegra! You WON'T be disappointed!!!!! I have been on Victoza for about 2 weeks now and I have broken out in hives/rash around my mid section. My body itches but I'm not sure if it's related to this or not. Anyone else experience this? ## It would be best to have this symptoms checked out by your doctor, according to FDA reports, there is a chance that it might be an allergic reaction. Have you been exposed to anything else new, such a a different detergent, soap, or perfume? Have you eaten any new foods? I was prescribed Cipro for Bronchitis in the hospital. I took only 4 doses 2 pills twice a day! I broke out with severe Hives and was given Benedryl, Predisone, Pepcid and nothing is helping! I am so itchy and uncomfortable and have been to the ER 3 times. What can I do. It's been 3 days since I stopped taking it and I am suffering so bad!! ## Hello, Chrissy! How are you? You should check with your doctor first to make sure that it's safe for you, but you can usually take up to 50mgs per dose. And soaking in a warm tub with some epsom salts may also help. I took Omnicef 300 mg 2x a day..I took them for 11 days..was suppose to take for 3 weeks..At the palms of my hands started itching..and were very red..than my left foot started itching..I stoped taking the medicine 1 day ago...this happened on the weekend...of course...I am taking bendryl...about every four hours..Now my left calf has hives..both wrists..have hives..my bikini area..is covered with hives..and of all things..my right ear..is flame red and itches...also my right knee...I called my doctor today...she said stop the medicine..I said I did...she said take bendryl 50 mg 3 times a day..which I am..and I think more..This is so weird..that it has hit such different parts of my body..ohhh.
