I am a 63 year old Indian (Asian) male. I have been taking medications for high BP for the past 15 years. Currently I am taking - Coversyl AM 4/5, Lorvas SR, Angispan TR 2.5 mg, Clopitab 75 mg, Nefrosave, Febuget 40 mg. In the last 6 months (Aug 2013 to Feb 2014) my urea level has gone up from 55 to 100, uric acid from 3.0 6.0 and serum creatinine remained at 2.0. Electrolytes continue to remain within the range. I do not observe any physical changes such as swelling of feet or tiresomeness. I am agile and active. Could you please suggest a way out to keep my urea within the range? I am a strict vegetarian and don't even eggs. Do you suggest any restrictions on specific vegetables. Or, is dialysis the only answer? ## i can give parmanent solution for bp and for ur health=====don...

Can anyone help? My INR is at 4.0. I'm wondering if I should skip my Plavix dose along with my Warfarin. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ## I'm not on Plavix but when my INR is that high my dr. has me hold the warfarin 1 or even 2 days. When in doubt I ALWAYS call Walgreens pharmacists, they always give me good advice until I can check in with my doctor. ## Thank you very much I should have thought of that. I'm new to this and I freak out when things go wrong. I am having a hard time staying in range. I will make that call right away. God bless, Mike

My gf just started on subs and I swear shes high, don,t care but just noticable. Is this even possible? Been on them my self and experianced nothing like what Im talking about. ## Yes, it is possible. Suboxone does contain a very potent narcotic, Buprenorphine, so it can have that affect on some people. Even though it didn't have that effect on you, she may experience it, because medications can affect everyone differently. Learn more Suboxone details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

How long did it take your body to adjust to the Lyrica? Meaning, how long does it take for the "stoned out of my mind" feeling to go away? ## I've honestly never heard of this happening to anyone on Lyrica, but I suppose it really does effect each person differently. If you think it might help alleviate some symptoms, I would consider asking your doctor about lowering the dose or changing medications all together. There's no reason anyone should continue taking something that's causing more harm than good. How frequently are you taking it? ## I take 75mgs twice a day. It almost feels like I have taken demerol. ## I started taking Lyrica yesterday, for Periperal Neuropathy, 75 mg. a.m. & p.m. I also have that 'off my face' sensation. Glad it's the weeke...

I have been taking Norco 10/325 for quite a long time. I take 3 pills a day and i guess there is supposed to be a certain level in your urine. Yesterday my Dr accused me of taking way to many and wanted to know where i was getting my pills at and i was shocked and told him "you prescribe these to me" and he more or less called me a liar saying i am taking way more than he gives me. I dont understand why the levels are so high. Is there anything that can cause this to happen? Please help. ## According to NIH studies, this could happen due to dehydration, other medications you may be taking, and some dietary issues, or supplements. Are you on any other medications? Do you make sure to drink plenty of liquids? Has anything else changed in your diet, or exercise routine recently? Ho...

Does Ovral L responsible for high BP. ## Under certain circumstances, the hormones in oral contraceptives may increase the risk of hypertension, especially in women over 35, women who smoke, or those that have been on them for a long period of time. There is no way, however, to say that it may only have been caused by taking them. Your doctor would have to be the one to help you discover a cause, if there is one and find proper treatment. Are there any other questions?

My mom received 2 doses of kadcyla. However her bilirubin count shot up to 2.98 & is unable to continue the treatment. Can u help? ## From what I've read, bilirubin is a yellowish pigment found in bile (a fluid made by the liver). Apparently, it is normal to have some bilirubin in your blood. However, normal levels are reportedly in the range of 0.3 to 1.9 mg/dL The article below discusses various tests that are done to measure the amount of bilirubin in the blood (and what it means to have high levels of it): nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003479.htm In some patients, different types of cancer medication (such as kadcyla) could just end up doing more harm than good. So I would probably look at it as a good thing and not get discouraged by the discontinuation of the drug. ...

I am 57 + having high blood sugar level for the past 18 months. I am regularly taking Voglistar gm1 for the past 16 months. I am a vegetarian. My blood sugar PP ranges between 200 - 360. I am not feeling any type of deficiency. I regularly go for a brisk walk in the morning for about 3 to 4 Kilometers daily. ## While you are a vegetarian, it is also still essential to ask what types of foods you eat? Many fruits and vegetables can contain sugars, which can cause your blood sugar to become high. How much do you eat at each meal? How often do you have a meal? The NIH lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia.

I have gained custody of my grandchild because of parent addiction. They are now being given Suboxone, the rehab person says "no, they can't get high from it". I believe they can. From what information I have read he high is just not as strong. So can a person "get high" from suboxone? ## In theory, yes, someone could get high from it, because it still contains a narcotic, which is Buprenorphine. However, there are 2 factors that come into play to prevent their doing so and abusing it. When someone is in addiction treatment, the dosage is carefully calculated to be a maintenance dose, that way it prevents withdrawals from the other drugs they were abusing, but doesn't give a high effect. And the second is that it also contains Naloxone, which prevents their takin...
