I was put on the generic form of Lipitor. 40mg. I am small framed and weigh about 120. I started having muscle pain all over and was very weak. Also dizzy and diarrhea. Felt awful. Dr. took me off it immediately and my total cholesterol had dropped from 310 to 153 in less than a month. non hdl went from 220 to 74... but my ALT to check my liver is 46. I am starting to feel much better now that I am not taking it but I am concerned about my liver. Will my ALT go back to normal? ## Hello, Bambi! How are you? Since mid Feb. 2015, I have tapered my BP meds (candesartan-16mg from 32mg; HCT-dropped from 25mg; Amlodipine-5mg) on my PCP's advice as it appears to be increasing my blood creatinine levels. Although my BP has remained normal (117/68 p66) since and indeed gone down, I continue to experience intermittent/sporadic 'burns/tingles' on various parts of my left arm (e.g., outside elbow, fingers, triceps, above wrist, etc.) and upper shoulder. Also, sometimes, I feel activity/heat in my left chest area. My PCP and cardiologist say that as long as my BP is okay and I am able to sustain my workouts that I should not worry.
