Heritage brand Metformin did not work for me, but I took it for months and developed blisters around the outside of my mouth which is not herpes. Now back on Ascend Metformin and it is working for me. The blisters and inflammation are lessening but not completely gone. Has anyone had this problem and know what it is and how to treat it? ## My blood sugar numbers were very high when I was on Amneal and Heritage brand Metformin. My eyesight was affected and I had inflammation and blisters around my mouth. I am now on Ascend Metformin and my blood sugar is way down between 73 and 107. Hello: I have some pills that are marked on one side, H at thr top, below it has 107 stamped on it.
