is there a substitute for liquid lactulose - pill form ? My son doesn't like taking it and would rather a pill ## LACTULOSE PILL FORM ? ## The only thing that I've found is Kristalose which comes in packets in powder form. If you mix it with chocolate milk you really can't taste it. It's pretty expensive, though.

Looking for a medication called Blue Green for hapatit C treatment. The name might not be accurate, but Blue Green is part of the name. PLease help. Thanks ## I'm sorry, but there are no medications listed under any names like that in the U.S. prescription databases. Where are you located? It may be a regional product. There is also an over the counter supplement called Blue-Green Algae, but that is not going to treat hepatitis.

Average size, round, white pill, with 120 on one side and two triangles on other side. ## I don't know what Hep'Mah is, but it is not this pill. Pill Image This is Verapamil Extended Release 120mgs, generic for Isoptin IV. This is a calcium channel blocker, by reducing the amount of calcium in the body, it relaxes your blood vessels and thus eases the work load on your heart.

On week 4 of sovaldi & Riba with genotype 3A. Have 20 more weeks, my moods are so labile....irritable, then crying, then anxious then fine.....all over the place. Kinda rough right now.... could be worse I guess but....anyone else? ## Hello, MJ! How are you? I've not taken these medications, but I can tell you that these types of symptoms are listed by the FDA among the possible side effects that someone could experience. Others may include chills, fever, skin pallor, weakness and decreased appetite. Has anyone else been on these? ## Yes! I am experiencing the same issues. 8 believe it is related to my also having insomnia but maybe that is not right? I'm only on the end of week 2 so I'm praying this doesn't continue. I'm temporal lobe epileptic also.

It is normal for your body to get used to dosage of any medication, when you have been taking it for a long time and for it not to work as well, anymore. if im An Athelete that Loves To Run And Workout I Gets Hep C Does Heart Rate Blood Flow and Excercise Effect The Disease Like if this i woork out and works cardio. would the disease worsen faster. ## It's actually quite the opposite, I don't believe you'll find a doctor anywhere that's going to tell you to sit down and not exercise for fear of making it worse. Exercise is vital to staying healthy, even when you have such a disease. There are even some people who manage to keep it in control for years solely with a good healthy diet and proper exercise. If you have some complications, or are on certain medications for it, there may be some restrictions on what you can do, so you should check with your doctor, but staying sedentary ...

All enzymes are good, no cirrhosis detected, advice on what to expect would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! :-) :-) :-) ## That is the geno type I had and my viral load was thirty six million seven hundred twenty thousand and it still worked I was clear after 4 weeks and still after 12 weeks I get a final blood test in September because it can hide in the body so they recheck after 6 months then you know for sure if you are clear or not. ## The FDA lists the typical side effects of Harvoni as possibly including nausea, fatigue, headache, trouble sleeping, and muscle pain. I have Hep. C and my Dr. still prescribes to me Vicodin. Isn't this bad for my liver? What pain pill affects the liver least? Thank you for any ideas. ## Well the problem you and your doctor are going to face here is that approximately 90+% of all medications are processed through the liver. There are very, very few that aren't. When prescribing something, your doctor has to consider the risks and the benefits, there really isn't anything or a narcotic nature for pain that will be processed less through your liver. Just make sure to not abuse it and only use it as prescribed and keep all doctor's appointments. ## I have read that the reason there is concern about Vicodin is the acetaminophen they combine with the hydrocodone. This doesn't make any sense to me to beca...

My baby sister diagnosed HEPA C positive. I need to know what's the best medicine to protect her liver. I am desperate. ## Hello, Hanah! How are you and your sister? I understand that you're concerned, but the best thing to do is to let her doctor(s) handle this. All of us want the best for our loved ones, but going to her doctor and trying to demand that they prescribe her any given medication could actually do more harm than good. Some mediations should be reserved and only used, when others haven't worked. If she's asymptomatic and her liver function is normal, she may not require any treatment. However, they will most likely recommend that she be vaccinated against Hep A and B, plus stay away from alcohol and any medications that may be toxic to her liver. Are there ...

Hepatitis (plural hepatitides) is a medical condition defined by the inflammation of the liver and characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ. The name is from the Greek hepar (παρ), the root being hepat- (πατ-), meaning liver, and suffix -itis, meaning "inflammation" (c. 1727).[1] The condition can be self-limiting (healing on its own) or can progress to fibrosis (scarring) and cirrhosis. Hepatitis may occur with limited or no...

Hi. I was wondering if anybody with hep-c also has c.o.p.d? I've recently been diagnosed. I have geno-3. I'm 64yrs old, feel totally confused. My dr isn't very clued up on hep-c and is not much help at all. I feel that doing treatment for hvc would be just too hard with breathing issues. Thanks. P.s. - The Atrovent puffer is now giving me urine retention. (great)
