Help Start Period After Chantix

I bought the first doses about ten months ago, but didn't start treatment at that time. I finally started the treatment about a week and a half ago. I don't seem to experience as much of the side effects as others. Does anyone know if Chantix looses it's zip after that period of time? I don't think I've been having wild dreams, but I did notice I remember them better for the most part, so they seem more frequent. Dreams are wierd anyway, so I don't necessarily think Chantix has made mine any more strange. I don't seem to suffer from loss of sleep yet, although I don't sleep as much as most people anyway. I can feel that I am on a drug when I'm taking it. I don't eat breakfast, so I take the pill with about 4 to 6 oz. of milk in the morning. I feel...

After taking Chantix only three days, I began developing numbness in my calf and foot and achiness in my hip. I immediately stopped taking Chantix, but eight months later, the pain is just starting to subside and the numbness is lessening, but still in my toes. If this is what happens after only three days of Chantix, I feel horrible for the people who took it for a longer period of time and are still in agony. I still smoke, but will try other cessation methods before ever using Chantix again. It is not worth the risk. ## Saw your post and I have PAD. That is a disease that affects you in your legs especially because you are a smoker. The symptoms are numbness, hip pain, trouble walking long distances without a rest, tingling, etc. Just check it out with your doctor. And finally about ...

I started taking Chantix on Dec. 02, 2007. So this is my second week on the Chantix. I haven't had real bad side effects. I have had an upset stomach and diarrhea, but like someone else said, I'm not sure it's related to the Chantix. I thought maybe I caught a flu bug. Anyhow, I wanted to ask you all if it's normal that I still have the craving for wanting a cigarrette. I thought for sure that it would've subsided somewhat, but it's still there. I noticed longer periods of time in between wanting one, but I still want one. :( If there is any advice anyone can offer, I would greatly appreciate it! ## I started taking this pill 2 weeks ago, about one week into it I started feeling side effects of nausiated stomach, to the point of not wanting to eat as I was concer...

I took Chantix for 12 days. On day 9 I was tempted to quit, as the nausea was awful. Finally (accidentally) found that taking the pill with juice instead of water gave me almost no nausea, so kept going a couple days. The reason I quit taking Chantix is because my ovaries started feeling like they were getting ripped out when I was on my period and again when I ovulated. This scared me as to what it was DOING to my ovaries, as we intended to get pregnant after I quit smoking. I'm 35 and have a history of spontaneous miscarriages. Have any of you other gals had this issue? Or is it just me? ## I have had the exact same issue. I had the worst ovary pains and never experienced anything like this prior to Chantix. ## "Nausea occurs commonly in people taking varenicline. Other less c...

Just started Chantix 2 weeks ago and now my period is 3 days late. I take birth control faithfully and also use condoms, so very unlikely to be pregnant. Can't find anyone else talking about this side effect though. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Yes, the FDA does warn that is can cause menstrual disorders, which can include anything from delayed menses, up to full stoppage of menses. Its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, constipation, heartburn, and vaginal discharge. Ref: Chantix Information Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm 2 weeks in with chantix and stopped smoking a week in. Can I stop the pill. ## Hello, Kenny! How are you? Congratulations on quitting!!! However, you should continue that medication for whatever period of time your doctor instructs you to do so. Stopping too early may cause the nicotine cravings to return, so you may start smoking, again. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including: nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am on my 12th week of Chantix and have been cig free for one week. When should I stop taking the Chantix. I am a little afraid if I stop taking the medication, I will want to start smoking again. ## Hello, Christine! How are you? Congrats on quitting, that's very tough to do! I'd suggest checking with your doctor to see what they recommend. Some people do need to take it for a longer period of time and it can be taken for another 12 weeks to help you remain smoke free. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood swings, dry mouth and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Congrats! Besides the typical side effects mentioned in the previous post listen to the hundreds of serious warnings they gloss over i...

i have only been taking this pill for 9 days i have extremely tender breasts it feels like they are heavy and full of milk. anyone else have this?? ## Yes, very heavy like milk laden. They look great but hurt to touch or even put on bra. This started at day 32 (2nd pack) of chantix. I have quit so am thinking about cutting down on the chantix. ## This can happen with birth control pills and some other drugs as well. As a side effect, it should wear off as your body gets used to the new medication, if it doesn't, then you will need to speak to your doctor about trying other options. ## I had the same problem with these pills. My breasts hurt so bad i didnt even want a tshirt touching them. My second month on loestrinfe i bled for 12days and then no period when i was supposed to...Jus...
