I have been prescribed 20mg zuvamor. Cholesterol at 6.2. Started taking half a tablet then moved onto taking a whole tablet. I am experiencing heart palpitations and shortness of breath. Thickening of my tongue at times too. Pain in my back and chest. Tingling in my limbs and my ears are ringing. Should i continue with the medication? ## Hello, Amz! How are you feeling? Has there been any change in your symptoms? Most of what you've mentioned are listed as being possible side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA. Except the tongue thickening, that's not normal and may be indicative of a bad reaction to this medication. Have you informed your doctor? You may need to try something else.

Is it ok to take instaflex if u have heart problems, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and thyriod problems? ## Instaflex is an over the counter product that is claimed to help with joint health, so as nothing more than a dietary supplement, it hasn't actually been tested for possible interactions with medications and health conditions. However, since I am also a hypertension and cardiac patient, I can tell you that one of the ingredients in it is Black Pepper and it can cause blood pressure elevations in some people. It can really depend on the person, so I'd suggest checking with your doctor, or pharmacist, before taking it. From what I've found, any of the various pepper extracts can cause blood pressure elevations in some people, so you have to be careful about taking th...

Heart Savior™ is great at lowering LDL bad cholesterol and triglycerides, but it does not stop there. Heart Savior contains Co-Q10 which is necessary for a youthful heart muscle, and other ingredients to reduce inflammation of the arteries, the build up of plaque deposits in the arteries and lower C Reactive protein levels. ## Does the red yeast rice in Heart Savior contain Lovastatin, or is citrinin used in the fermentation process?

I am a heart patient. My cholesterol is under controlled by taking one tab of above in the evening after food/fruits. I am also under treatment for diabetis (two tabs of 30mg Diamicron MR in the morning}. I still suffer from pins and needles in my lower legs especially when I walk or do light exercise/swim. I am also on Casprin 100mg and high blood pressure pill (Atenolol 100mg daily). Is the combined "mix" OK? ## I'm sorry, what medication did you mean by one tab of the above? You posted this under the Atenolol forums. Without knowing what medication you are talking about for cholesterol, I can't check any information on that one, for you. Casprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin, for patients with heart and blood pressure problems, it is used as a blood thinner. ...

WHAT IS THE BEST DIET AND MEDICINE WHICH CAN CLEANSE THE ARTERY BLOCKAGE ## If it is due to fatty deposits, then you need a diet that is low in fats, especially saturated fats and cholesterol. You will also want it to be higher in fiber, eating things like oatmeal and whole grains. The best medications are usually the statin drugs, though they can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Are there any other comments or questions?

I have recently been prescribed Nefrosave Forte to reduce my creatinine level, which currently stands at 1.3. I have been diabetic for the past 23 years and have cardiac conditions. Since starting this drug, I am experiencing heartburn and uneasiness. Could this be due to a side effect of Nefrosave? Could it also be due to the simultaneous intake of this drug with other medications that are meant to keep my blood pressure, cholesterol, and potassium levels under control? Can you please advise?

Insufficient potassium and vitamin B-1 (thiamin) can not damage the heart significantly when both are deficient. This has important safety implications when supplementing each during heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, beri-beri, or diabetes influenced by the deficiency of one of them. It is extremely important to know which kind of heart disease is involved. Copper is crucial for strength of arteries because of its role as part of lysil oxidase, which cross links elastin tissue. A deficiency is probably the main cause of aneurisms and therefore many strokes, hemorrhoids, and many bleeding problems, as well as high blood cholesterol. Sincerely, Charles

Storvas or HeartSavior, which is more effective for the treatment of high cholesterol? ## Hi Ako, It's important to know that medications can affect everyone differently, where as some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it just doesn't work the same for. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it and be your own best judge. Personally, being an advocate of natural alternatives, I'd suggest using HeartSavior and seeing how it works out for you. Have you had the chance to try either one of these yet?

I had a heart attack on 9-26-16...I was doing decent afterward for several weeks. I decided to go off effexor 150mg. after 10+ years. The reason is because effexor can cause high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and weight gain, all in which I have problems with and especially now I need to control them more. I've been tapering for a month with mild withdrawal, some days better or worse than others. Mostly irritability, vertigo, brain fog, tired all the time, yet I cannot sleep. Headaches come and go and quite a bit of body, muscle, joint aches. What's concerning me at this point is my chest is very sore, left side. I'm wondering if the tapering is causing discomfort? As of 2 days ago I decreased again and am down to 37.5. I thought I'd be feeling a lot worse, maybe tha...

I had a mild heart attack in November 2005. It was corrected with a single stent to LDA. I was prescribed Lipitor 20mg (never had high cholesterol Ramipril Details Are there any other comments or questions? ## Maybe this will help: I had an NSTEMI in August and Ramipril is part of my post-hospital regime. (Also diuretics, aspirin etc. and beta blockers. Seven pills a day!) I take Ramipril 2.5mg once a day. It is not only for blood pressure: the effect on that may be minimal. According to my doc, beta blockers make more of a difference to that. However, Ramipril also 'smooths out' the heart pumping action by 'softening' the blood vessels so they offer less resistance to each heartbeat. Thus they take some of the stress off the heart and help to prevent a further 'even...
