I have been on 100mg/day of losartan that I take 1/2 a pill twice a day for 6 months or so. The last 2 months I have experienced heavy heart palpitations, skipping beats etc directly after taking pill. I literally feel like I'm in the middle of a heart attack. Kidneys also hurt directly after taking losartan and urine is very yellow. I recently did not take it for a 3 days and felt much better but I started it up again due to the fear of heart trouble that I am not aware of. All of the above symptoms returned with a vengeance and now I am back to feeling close to death all day long...any suggestions? ## Have you had this checked out by your doctor, yet? There are several issues that could be causing this, according to the NIH. It could be due to medication side effects, it could be ...

Bad heart. Few yrs back had the normal 4-5 stints and then a 4way bypass. About 6 months later they put in a pacemaker defibrillator. Nothing abnormal for almost 2 yrs and then running late for a plane, behind packing, suitcase broke, etc I was driving to airport and bam took a defib shock. Thought I had been hit by another car. Then took a second shock about 3 minutes later. Well the 50K defib had saved my life. But a new problem took hold. I was basically dying and being shocked back about every other month from then on. Trust me it's not fun. You get where you can tell about 14 seconds before you are going to pass out (forever) if the defib unit doesn't work. It's also painful. Like getting kicked in the chest by a donkey. My heart doctor put me on .25 Xanax 1 in am and 1...

Since she has such as serious medical condition, she needs to consult her doctor and follow their instructions on what she should or should not take. It would be remiss of someone online to try to advise her on such a matter. ## She is home. So far they can not find a cause of the heart attack. She did not have any blockage. The doctoris researching jakafi more before they put her back on it. Thankyou for your response.

Mild heart attack after taking AndroGel. I started taking AndroGel for low testrone levels on Saturday, Sunday right after I used it I felt funny. Monday after using it my chest was hurting, Tuesday after taking it I could not breath, sweating, sick at my stomach and felt like someone was sitting on my chest. Heart attack symptoms called 911 rushed to hospital and had had a mild heart attack. AndroGel the cause don't know but it did save my life. I had a blockage and got a stent put in my heart. Scared to use it anymore. Never know if I would have had a full heart attack or not but it did appear the AndroGel was the cause since it started the second day I used it. Never know what medicine can do to us. Has anyone else had this problem? ## If you had a blockage big enough to have req...

Can you take Renexa and Metoprolol tartrate 25 mg together? ## They can be taken together, if they have both been prescribed for you, but the Ranexa may increase the effects of the Metoprolol, so you may need a dosage adjustment and your doctor should be monitoring you regularly to watch for any problems, as warned by the NIH. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I am a 1st year medical student. My mother has a recurrent occurrence of heart attack like symptoms (i.e. a pressure like feeling in her chest, a pain radiating to the neck and the medial side of her arm). It's really so painful that she is pulled to the floor. Once when this occurred the 1st time many years ago, she was taken to the hospital, where they said that there is no problem and she was given a medicine (nebicard) and it gave her relief. And when it occurred again they took an ECG and said there was no problem and this repeated. Afterwards she refused to go to the hospital saying it is of no use and nebicard gives relief, and now it is occurring very frequently and she takes nebicard... Now we used to take her to the hospital but looking at the ECG they say she is ok. I...

I had a heart attack on 9-26-16...I was doing decent afterward for several weeks. I decided to go off effexor 150mg. after 10+ years. The reason is because effexor can cause high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and weight gain, all in which I have problems with and especially now I need to control them more. I've been tapering for a month with mild withdrawal, some days better or worse than others. Mostly irritability, vertigo, brain fog, tired all the time, yet I cannot sleep. Headaches come and go and quite a bit of body, muscle, joint aches. What's concerning me at this point is my chest is very sore, left side. I'm wondering if the tapering is causing discomfort? As of 2 days ago I decreased again and am down to 37.5. I thought I'd be feeling a lot worse, maybe tha...

i suffer from high blood pressure and the last couple of months my pulse became eradic, missing a beat and adding a extra beat. i als get chest pains wich increase in severity and then go away. i also have a stomach ulcer, could the pain come from the ulcer? my pulse rate is normal when i get these pains. ## Hi Robert! I can't give you an exact answer about how your heart beat would be before a heart attack. Some people feel it coming on, and others feel fine until all of a sudden they're having a heart attack. As far as your heart beating fast or hard and feeling like it's "fluttering" or skipping a beat -- I used to have the same problem and it about drove me crazy. Then my doctor put me on a beta-blocker. It was "atenolol" although there are many others. I...

Hi, I am on Cilift since 3 days now. I can deal with the headaches every now and then. But I find, that my panic attacks got worse. I wake up in the morning with my heart racing and the evenings are even worse. I started with half a tablet for the first 4 days. The Dr. gave me Beta blocker and a tranquilizer now. When will the panic attack start to wear off? ## Hi Antje, I'm on Klonopin for anxiety and panick attacks. I've been on this medication for years now and it helps really well. It's a benzodiazepine. Those types of medications have always helped me. Sometimes you have to give the medication time to get into your system. It may take a couple of weeks . But, if you have no improvement or your panick attacks are not getting better, you should speak to your doctor about ...

CUMIDIN ## when you are taken off of cumidin blood tinner are there any side effect to worry about ? ## Coumadin contains the active ingredient Warfarin, it is used to help thin the blood to prevent possibly dangerous clots. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising. Lee, it really depends on your overall medical condition. If you have a condition requiring your blood be thinner, so the clotting is controlled, stopping it abruptly may create the risk of clots, which could result in a heart attack, or other dangerous issues. Did you doctor tell you to stop taking it? Was it replaced with a different medication?

HELP ANYONE OUT THERE WITH SAME EXPERIENCE. should i be scared? it has calmed down little bit after taking 2 xanax. ## Adderall contains mixed amphetamine salts, so it is a stimulant and that can be a common side effect, especially if you take too much. You should never try to self-adjust this type of medication, it can be very dangerous. Along with the racing pulse, it can elevate blood pressure and you could experience heart attack or stroke. I visited the gynecologist to have a yearly exam, she stated i needed to be on a low dose of estrogen, because i had had a hysterectomy years before (like 6 yrs), and i was at risk for osteporosis). I advised her i smoked heavily, it was asked on the new patient form. She gave me no indication that i could get a blood clot being that i am over 35 (i am 39) and that i smoke. Last weds i had a big clot that went to my heart and caused a heart attack. I have great doctors, and they said i am lucky to be alive. I now have damage to my heart. I quit smoking. The hematologist is doing major blood work, sending it to all parts of the country to see why i got the blook clot, but we think it's because of that estrogen patch she gave me, smoking, and being close to 40. Going based off of the imprint guesses in addition to the condition of it being a panic attack medication the closest I was able to find was a Metoprolol succinate extended-release which has the imprint of 100 N. According to the National Institute of Health it is small, white and round. Metoprolol is used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation; high blood pressure; supraventricular tachycardia; angina; heart attack.
