How are you? Yes, that is correct, medications that contain Butalbital are being discontinued, at this time. Whether or not this may change at a later date, I don't know. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? They may be able to write you a special prescription that you can have done at a compounding pharmacy, so you may want to ask them about it. ## I currently take Fioricet which contains bul...

I have a TBI and suffer from sever headaches and have now for 12 years. I have been told 3 separate times by 3 separate DRs that they will not take care of me any longer. I'm at the end of my rope and find it harder and harder to keep on with life it self. Can someone please help me? I don't know how much longer I can do the headaches and live this way? Please ## Hello, James! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. When is the last time you consulted a neurologist? There are new treatments available, as listed by the NIH, but the only person who will likely be able to help you is a specialist. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

I used to have a really bad headache that lasted the whole day. Sometimes it hurt so much that I started beating my head, but when i concentrate on a specific thing I'll feel relaxed. Even a small harsh voice would irritate me to such an extent that I cry out! HELP ME! ## I'm seeking relief for a chronic daily headache. After 35 years and numerous treatments, I wonder if there is a cure (short of a labodomy) for this condition that takes over your life. We have medication that is a little help but does not eliminate the headache that can easily turn into a migraine. Is the new formulation of fioricet now class 3. A controlled substance. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? That is what being on Schedule III means, it's been found to have potential for abuse and dependence. The Butalbital in it is a barbiturate. But you do need to understand that most prescription drugs are considered controlled substances. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is the same except it now has 25 mg of Tylenol less. The ratio of tylenol to the barbituate changed and that is what made it now a controlled substance. It's crazy!

Learn more Isosorbide information here. Have you gotten any advice from your doctor on what you can do for the headaches? ## I had the headaches and I am nauseated with this pill. Tylenol was no help at all and it made me vomit.. I am taking motrin now, because it doesn't make me vomit. I am on my third day of extended release. I'm on day 2 and have headaches, almost migraines. Does this side effect go away? And how long before I know if I'm a responder to this medication? The possible side effects scare me but I've been dieting and excersizing for 4 months and have lost 11 lbs but can't seem to shake the cravings and desire to keep eating, my PCP RX'd me this and I saved for it ($160 total with $75 off coupon). Just don't wanna keep taking if these headaches won't go away and if it doesn't "work" for me. ## Hello, Ricababy! How are you? Yes, headaches can be a normal side effect and it may take about 4 weeks, before they start to taper off, as your body gets used to the medication, that's about the same time span it will take, before you'll know if it's work...

I'm on Contrave almost 3 mos and lost 29 lbs...that's the great part, but lately I am getting the worst headaches, usually over one eye . Lately I've been getting 3 headaches a week and all I could do is lay in bed. Sometimes ice on my head feels better or even the pressure from the pillow being on my head to block out the light helps. I went to my prescribing doctor and she said headaches are a side effect. Other than a headaches my only other side effect is dry mouth. My doctor said the headache should go away as this does happen to a few patients on this meds. Advil migraine doesn't seem to help so I really don't know what else I could take with contrave. If I wasn't on contrave this kind of headache would definitely be gone with a Vicodin! But I know I cannot...

Learn more Plavix details here. It should taper off in severity soon, after your body starts to adjust to no longer having the medication, but if it doesn't or if it gets worse, then you should seek immediate medical attention, because rebound effects can also occur from stopping such a medication. Can anyone help with a cure, or reason why I get headaches? Mainly come on in the early hours, just before I get up. They usually drift away, If I get up before they set in, otherwise they linger all blooming day, sometimes last into the next day. I have tried many different pills, and potions. Bachs Floewer remedy, Tens machine, Acupuncture, Senn a Psycologist, had a brain scan (yes they found one before you ask) A neurologist put it down to muscle tension headaches, now all I can do is just live with it. I can't believe I have to live the rest of my life waking up every morning with a headache. It has cost me friends, jobs, and even my marriage. Sleep apnea has been ruled out. How is your daughter doing? Yes, the headaches could be due to either one of those medications, or perhaps the combination of both. The hormones in the Minerva can cause headaches as a side effect and the Purbac can cause them in some people, as well. I'd say yo...

Need to know the best solution to chronic headache, medicine, pills and any other advice ## Hi, Elliot! Sorry about the headaches. The first thing should do is see a doctor to determine what's causing them. That's the only way you're going to be able to discover what the proper treatment might be. Right now, if you have no diagnosis, it's really just guesswork and no one is going to be able to tell you for sure what medication might help or what other steps you should take to minimize them. Do you have a doctor that you see regularly?

I am suffering cluster headaches ever since my college years til now & I'm 31, yrs. old and a mother of 1. I take Mefenamic Acid capsules and Ibuprofens. But none of these worked to eventually stop the pain and pulsating around my eye or temple for several times within a week in long hours with extreme intensities. Please help me. ## Having suffered cluster headaches now since I was 15? (And am now 37) I have found, unfortunately, that once the pain begins absolutely nothing will help. Trust me I've tried it all! I'm 28 and was taken off welbutrin and buspirone and put on viibryd 40mg I was not dosed up BC I was already on the others. My 72yr old wife suffered cerebral stroke 3mnth back. Prior to that she felt occasional palpitations and headache in the back side. It was reported that these were symptoms of stroke. Since last few days I am feeling mild sensation of pain in back of my head. I had a stent implanted six months back. Should I consult a/the cardiologist again? ## Yes, any time you have new head pain, or chest pain, you should have it checked out to be safe. Such symptoms could be very dangerous, other than a stroke, it could also be a symptom of a heart attack, or other health issues, according to NIH reports. Are you on any medications? I used to get a headache or pain reliever medicine in Tijuana in the 1980s that worked wonders for a friend who got migraines. It was not available in the USA as far as I know. I remember little about it except that it came in a cardboard box about 2" X 4" X 1/2" and I think the name was fairly long, maybe 4 syllables or more. I think it came in white tablets that were fairly large, though I am not sure that recollection is accurate. I think I would recognize the name if I saw or heard it but I just cannot recall it from my memory. Thanks so much for any help/ ## I'm sorry, but that's really not much information to go on, there are many products on the market that match such a description and since it was coming out of Mexico, there is a large list of medications it ...
