Now it is a daily trouble as I have normally one side headache most of time and on seeing the blood pressure history I have now started cardec 2.5 medicine . Even after taking this medice my headache problem is persistent. If I am not at work I am alright but if I am going to my job the headache would definitely be there by evening. ## Dear Anita I am having the same symptoms and I have visited so many doctors...

Is 10 mg. Less than 10/12 mg ## Hello, Connie! How are you? Can you be more specific as to what medications you're asking about? The 10/12mg denotes a medication that contains 2 active ingredients and then the 10mg would contain just one, so I'm afraid I can't be more specific, without having more information. The FDA lists the typical side effects of blood pressure medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension.

Can I take norco for my fibromyalgia pain along with my blood pressure med (amlodipine besylate 10mg)? ## I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, though it is always best to double check to be sure. However, I can also tell you that pain is more dangerous for your blood pressure, than taking a medication to ease it. The FDA does warn that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

I have tried 5 different Blood Pressure Medications. All are giving me side effects of depression, loss of energy, trouble concentrating, joint pain, swelling, weight gain. Anyone here know of a Blood Pressure Medication with few side effects? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I understand what you're going through. I rant the gamut of them myself, it took about a year to finally find ones that worked for me, without making me totally miserable. Thus, the ones I suggest you speak to your doctor about are Atacand and Labetalol, with the latter being known to cause the least side effects. You may still experience some, short-term, such as nausea, dizziness and headache, but they usually wear off after a few weeks, as your body gets used to the medication. Is there anything else I can help...

I JUST BEGAN THE NEW PRESCRIPTION DRUG FOR FIBROMYALGIA THIS WEEK CALLED SAVELLA IN PILL FORM. MY BLOOD PRESSURE HAS RISEN FROM AN AVERAGE OF 122/70 TO 155/85. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? WILL IT REGULATE BACK DOWN AFTER BODY ADJUSTS. OTHERWISE SURE FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER THEN WHEN ON CYMBALTA FOR SAME DISEASE. COULD IT BE A WITHDRAWAL EFFECT FROM THE CYMBALTA? I WENT OFF THAT 24 HOURS BEFORE STARTING SAVELLA. HEADACHES, JITTERY, HYPER WERE NOTICED IMMEDIATELY, THAT IS GETTING BETTER EACH DAY. ## Your experience parralels mine. I transitioned from cymbalta to titration pack of savella in one day. Very rough withdrawal. Worked my way up to full dose of Savella in October. BP was rising at half dose, Dr. thought at full dose pain would be lessened and BP would fall. I have always h...

Hi, Im taking amoxillin 875mg and Im having Bad headaches. My blood pressure was high when I check . It's that a side effect from amoxicillin 875? ## Hello, Sonie! How are you? The headaches can be a normal side effect of this antibiotic, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. How high was your blood pressure? This medication hasn't been known to cause that, but the pain from the severe headache may cause elevations. Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your medical practitioner?

Why would my doctor prescribe gabapentin when my blood pressure is difficult to control? It's 100/150 at times. I was complaining to my Dr that my hands are becoming difficult to control; I drop & throw things. Very miserable not being able to hold a phone, etc. ## I honestly can't say, since blood pressure elevations can be a side effect of it, as reported by the FDA. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant that can also be used to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its other typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain. What other medications do you take regularly? I wonder if one of them may be contributing to the issue with your hands. ## Does gabapentin cause high blood pressure? My heart...

I have been taking coverall 2mg for about 1 year now. I have blurred vision, awful leg pain, and have developed a cough with mucus running down the back of my throat. I have also gained weight for no reason. I also take pariet 20mg. Can you please give me some advice? ## Hello, Ollie! How are you? The blurred vision and leg pain might be due to the Coverall, the FDA does list those as being possible side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Both of these medications are listed by the NIH as possibly causing weight gain. As to the cough with mucous, that might be due to an acid issue, if you are taking the Pariet to treat acid reflux, or a similar condition, it can cause a cough with mucous and sinus drainage. What type of foods do you eat? What do yo...

Can lisinopril and propranolol er 60 mg be prescribe for blood pressure at the same time with no problems. ## Hi, Marylou! Yes, they sure can and it is often done when someone's blood pressure is found to be extremely high, or if they've proved to have resistant hypertension. Many times, combining such medications causes them to act synergistically, which improves how well they lower blood pressure levels. Learn more Propranolol details here. Learn more Lisinopril details here. But the patient should know to watch for the signs of hypotension, which may include headache, dizziness, high heart rate and shallow breathing. And some side effects which may occur from these medications can include nausea, drowsiness and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Taking mylan nifedipine er and teva naproxen 250 mg together alright? ## Hello, Doreen! How are you? No, it might not be safe for you to take any NSAID, if you have high blood pressure. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications can sometimes cause elevated blood pressure as side effects, along with fluid retention, which can further contribute to the problem, so you shouldn't take them, without your doctor's approval. Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to teat hypertension and certain cardiac conditions, its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. Taking tritace 1.25 and cardiloc 1.25 for high blood pressure and fast heart rate . My left leg keeps swelling up and I get many headaches. Should I be taking a diuretic? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. Yes, those can be normal side effects, though they should improve after about 4 to 6 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, increased urination and hypotension. And yes again, you may need a diuretic, but only your doctor can tell you that, you may also need to switch to a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

That's not how they work. Targit-H contains the active ingredients Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, it is most commonly used to help lower high blood pressure and treat certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and dehydration. You can learn more Targit-H details here. Are you making sure to take it with a full, 8 ounce glass of water or other liquid? If you are, then it shouldn't be making your mouth so sensitive like that. Will headaches from lisinopril diminish. How long? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies Lisinopril as an ACE inhibitor that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Along with headaches, other possible side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension. Will my blood pressure drop too quickly? ## Hello, Irene! How are you? Has there been any change? These medications will not work to instantly lower blood pressure. They must be taken consistently over a period of time to have their full beneficial effect in your body, they cannot only be taken on an as needed basis. With readings that high, you could be in danger and should see your doctor for assistance, or if you've been instructed to take these medications regularly, you should start doing so.
