Iam 42 yrs old diagnosed with RA .The dr has prescribed HCQS.iam already on medication with euthyroxine -100mg in the morning. Does these tablets counter effect each other. In ENA Assay, I have been diagnosed Ro-52 as positive. ## HCQS in the U.S. is Hydroxycholoroquine and it is used to treat several autoimmune disorders. I am a rheumatoid arthritis patient. My doctor has advised me to have 4 sazo 500 and 2 HCQS tabs during a day. I am taking these medicines since last 2 years. But i have doubts and worried about the side effects of these medicines. I am 30 years old and not married yet. KIndly advise me whether these medicines should be continued? ## Side effects includes palpitations, drowsiness, headache, chest pain, tingling sernsation in ear. long term medication may lead to oligospermia i.e reduced sperm count. my mother 64 is having rh arthiritis & mild ILD . she is taking Zempred 4 , HCQS,doxobid,micinac,levoflox,solvin cold. is their prolonged use SAFE. Any sde effects? ## My wife SLE present from last 8 Month, she take zempred 16 mg for 1st 3 month, then take 8 mg next 3 Month and then take 4 mg last two month with HCQS and till running. SLE detected by Dr. Sachin Varma, Apollo Hospital, Kolkata. My Question Is That: 1. Side Effects of this both Tablate? 2. I am taking Hcqs 200 one tab daily since last 5 months. Take foliteax 10 , two tab weekly. Lately started feeling vertigo and blurred eyesight. Q1- will eye site and vertigo going to increase even to the extent of blindness? Q2- I want to leave this treatment. Can I leave it suddenly or have to do it slow And under supervision? Trying to identify a small oval white pill with hc05 or hcos on it. What is this pill? ## The oval, white tablet with the HCQS marking on it is manufactured by Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 200mgs of Hydroxychloroquine. My wife has Rhuemotoid arthitis since 4 years & since 2 yeras she is taking 4mg Zempred daily, HCQS 200mg & BGcal CTF. Now she started taking on alternate days as we got to know this steriod should not be used long. Niw whenever after taking this tablet, her heart beat increases & weakness & uneasy. After 30min she feel better & her pain stop. Hope this has no any dangerous impact on her. Her age is 30 yeras. Please advise how to stop taking Zempred 4 mg. ## Those are normal side effects of this medication, according to NIH reports. She may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and insomnia.
