What is the genenic drug for synap forte? ## It is actually a combination drug with four active ingredients: Acetaminophen/Paracetamol Propoxyphene (mild narcotic) Diphenhydramine and Caffeine. It seems it would be used to treat pain, including headaches, with the Diphenhydramine included to help prevent nausea, but this is only a guess based on the ingredients. I am taking this drug and I want to find the shelf life if it is still safe. There's no expiration date on it. ## All prescription drugs that are tablets have a regular shelf life of 1 year from the date of dispensing. Even after that year, most are still safe to use, they just start to lose efficacy. The only ones that are dangerous to use after the expiration date are Tetracycline class antibiotics.
