I was prescribe alprazolam 1mg, by my doctor. I always been taking 0.5 mg peach pill made by Sandoz, always feel good on them. I moved and doctor was over hour away, he advise me to split the pill in half to make it 0.5 mg, this way I will have supply for longer period of time. Also I change pharmacy, when I fill my prescription, I recived blue pills made by Dava, I was splitting them up to 2016, I feel good on them to some time, and after few months they start to have wierd effect on me, I was more deppresed, start having some difficulty breathing, anxiety, panick attacks, I stop sleeping at night, they did help little but not much any more, and now I run from them, and have to find new doctor in town. I know that they both are .5mg alprazolam but I was just curious if there is any difference between the two. I am used to taking the peach .5mg with 029 on one side and R on the other side. I have been given yellow alprazolam oval shaped and on one side reading 106S and the other side says nothing; I have taken Geneva GG257 peach color for years and they helped; the yellow ones do absolutely nothing; the label says Geneva on it; I cannot find any information other than Dava makes a pill that says 106 on one side and there is an S on the other. I have used the same drug store for 50 years and I am not confrontational but I have taken alprazolam for 34 years and I know these yellow pills are not the same. Perhaps you can ask your Pharmacy if they could replace the medicine with a different generic if available, or perhaps allow you purchase the name brand drug at your extra cost? I just made the mistake got prescribed Xanax 0.5 mgs have to take it twice a day, and I typed in 106 s at first and was confused, I just realized now it was upside down lol, this is a good site to find out anything though about any pill, thanks for everyone's input. ## Hi Stefanie, No worries about the typo! I was actually still able to identify your oval yellow pill for what it truly is, and that's a 0.5 mg generic Alprazolam tablet; better known by its brand name Xanax. That's why when people post that such and such is listed on the prescription label, I always ask them to post back with the markings and description, because that's the only way it can be traced back to the actual company whose production line it comes off of.
