Based on my research, the FDA doesn't list this drug as being discontinued; nor does it list it under current drug shortages. So I can't really answer your first question as to why your pharmacies don't carry it. However you can always report a shortage or supply issue online at: fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/DrugShortages/ucm142398.htm There are plenty of other treatment options (natural, OTC, and prescription) for IBS, how...

Has anyone heard of such a high dose being prescribed ?? ## Hi Bry, According to the US National Library of Medicine, the maximum recommended daily dose of Vyvanse is 70 mg. They go on to state that "doses greater than 70 mg/day of Vyvanse have not been studied." Ref: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/lookup.cfm?setid-fed5402283f6#nlm34068-7 With that being said, it sounds like her doctor is either over prescribing or she's over using the amount he did prescribe. This has potential to be habit forming and very addicting, so I'd continue to keep an eye on her if you feel like she's digging herself into a deeper hole. How long has she been taking Vyvanse for? ## Vyvance, a prodrug usually seen as a long acting capsule or time realease patch is absorbed over a period of any...

Cannot find this pill anywhere and i wanted to know what it is exactly. The story is that they came from a doctor in Chinatown... I live in Seattle, WA . One side of the pill is blank, the other has a capital HC on the top half, divided by a split mark (so to easily break the pill in half)- and the numbers 1402 on the lower half. The pill appears coated, a bit glossy. The imprinted numbers on the lower half appear to slant a bit. Thats about all I can tell you, any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. ## I'm not entirely sure, but being as I also live in the Seattle area and I know how popular homeopathic products are out here, especially in the Chinatown area, I have a suspicion that there are probably something manufactured by Hyland's.
