As to how it makes you feel, there is no answer for that, drugs affect different people in different ways, so there is no way I can guess what effect it may have on you. Some of the most common side effects include: depression, addiction, somnolence and depression. ## I'm confused...I know people personally whom get Valium Rx'd to them for the exact same reasons that you give as "common side effects". I think Valium is a wonderful drug for depression, I have family & friend's taking this medication and them not having it... is the real negative side effect. J.s.

Unfortunately the FDA allows the active ingredients in generics to differ by as much as plus or minus 20% from the name brands, so if the company has poor quality control, you could have gotten a bad batch. There are also no regulations requiring that the inactive ingredients, which are used for binders and fillers, be the same at all. They can use whatever they wish for that as long as it is approved for us in drugs. So if it seems these pills have no affect on you, something in the inactive ingredients could also disagree with your body so it doesn't work as well for you as other brands would. And since Valium is available as a name brand, as well as the generic Diazepam, the markings on them will vary depending on the manufacturer and dosage. Some examples are: Orange, round, with MYLAN 345 on the front, 5mg. Green, round, with MYLAN 477, 10mg. Yellow, round, with a V on one side and 2683 on the other, 5mg. Blue, round, with a V on one side and 2684 on the other, 10mg. And this isn't a comprehensive list, there are many more. Do you by any chance remember the dosage?

small round, lt.green, has a slit on 1 side, the other says mylan 477. ## The slit is a score line to make it easier to break the pill into even halves so you can divide the dose, if necessary. Pill Image This is Diazepam 10mgs, so yes, it is a generic for Valium. ## small, white, round pill, R on one side, 57 on the other....told valium 2mg. ## This is Not Valium. It can be addictive and side effects included marked drowsiness, dizziness, headache, euphoria. ## Is one strength of Valium a pinkish color?? ## To the original poster, was the marking possibly Mylan 477? If so, Mylan Pharmaceuticals lists the tablet as containing 10mgs of Diazepam, which is a generic for Valium. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Marian, the color can vary from one manufacturer to another. Can you please post back with the markings on the tablet in question? If so, I will be happy to research it for you.
