Generic omeprazole by Dr Reddy and Mylan worked fine for me. Sandoz omeprazole gave me a chronic sore throat. ## we purchased 40 mg omeprazole from CVS pharmacy. the blue bottle had a Mylan logo and a microdisplay pill picture of blue/green tablet with 5222 on the label. inside the bottle was a tan/white capsule marked "OME 40". This is a Sandoz mark for omeprazole. These pills were ineffective and sore throat with esphogeal effects unchanged. later real 40 mg Mylan 5222 from Rite Aid worked perfectly. what are literature citations regarding CVS practice and quality for the Sandoz product. The capsule is green on one side, blue on the other and contains 40 mgs of Omeprazole. I have been taking it for two weeks and just this weekend started experiencing back pain, groin pain and have a great deal of gas.
