Can Morphine and Grandpa Powder be used together? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Which specific Grandpa Powder? I know they are sold as headache remedies, but there are several different formulations available. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

My grandpa is 77 years old and he accidentally took 2 tablets of Atenolol 50mg at a time. Will any serious injury occur in regards to his health? Please advise. ## Doubling up hasbeen known to cause someone to experience more severe side effects, according NIH reports, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Given his age, that could also make them worse. Thus, it would be best to consult his doctor to be safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Not sure if I accidentally took a double dose of atenolol or not, which would be 75mg with the mistake, instead of 37.50 mg normally. Will I be alright if I had taken a double dose? ## I accidentally took a 100 mg dose of atenolol instead of 1/2 pill about 1 hour ago. I take it for tachycardia...

It fell out of a cabinet at my grandparents house and I've never seen it before? nothing on back side. Just one side with the hourglass shape. ## The hourglass logo is used by Ivax Pharmaceuticals, however, I am not aware of any that don't have any additional markings, such as numbers on them. Did you try asking your grandparents about it? I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## Welll that's the thing. At the moment, my grandparents and I aren't on the best of terms, so if I were to walk up with a mysterious pill.. probably wouldn't work out so well.

I found some old pills, probably from the 60's, in my grandpas old stuff. They are grainy gray colored, with an SKL imprinted on them in an Air Force Base old clear pill bottle with "edri sql" on the bottle. What are these for? What do they do? I can't find anything on them. ## I'm sorry, but since they are that old, it is going to be difficult to identify these. That was back before the current laws where in place, which require prescription medications to have unique imprints and register them with the FDA to enable their identification. I did try several searches, but I am not finding anything, either. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Just wondering what type of pill this was because I found it on my grandparents floor and they didn't know. ## Based on the description provided, I've identified your pill as Citalopram hydrobromide 20 mg. This particular pill is a pink oval/capsule-shaped tablet, with "A" on one side and "0 6" on the other divided by a score line. Manufacturer: Aurobindo Pharma National Drug Code (NDC): 65862-0006 Size: 9.00 mm Citalopram is an antidepressant drug used to treat major depression associated with mood disorders. It is also used on occasion in the treatment of body dysmorphic disorder and anxiety. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Citalopram Details Does this sound like a possible match?

I found some in my Mom's old stuff too. She was not a veteran, but she did suffer severe cancer pain. So morphine makes sense. ## Hello, I'm so sorry to hear that about your mother, both my mother's parents (my grandparents) passed away from cancer so I can understand what you may be going through. I can't see that you mentioned the color or shape so I just searched for the set of numbers you listed- and I haven't found any morphine pills with that imprint. However, I have identified a white round pill with the imprint" 54 over 092 and a score on the back" as Prednisone (1 mg). The pill you have could be very similar... maybe just a different dosage? Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as an immunosuppressant, and affe...

Sitting with my elderly grandfather and he tells me to get him his meds. The medicine he asked for did not match the description on the bottle. I don't know if he's gotten them mixed up or if the pharmacy did. Pharmacy is closed and I have one angry grandpa that won't take no for an answer. Can anyone identify this pill. He says it's his pain meds... ## This might be an herb supplement, or an OTC med. I cant find it on the internet. I'm not a pharmacist so I would look into the situation and see who's around him, maybe check with the pharmacist. Make sure he's getting the correct meds and that he has not been taken advantage of.. ## Is the letter N enclosed inside of an pentagon-like (house) shape by chance? I'm only curious because another discussion thr...

capsule half red half white, on red side says barr, on white side says 658,my grandfather put a bunch of pills in 1 bottle and now we dont know what they are. ## Barr 658 is Acetaminophen + Oxycodone, a pain killer. ## red and white capsule with barr on one side and 658 on the other what is it? ## Usually when Grandparents, Parents, and people in general put pills in non-labeled bottles with others, it is one of two reasons. The first is to have daily meds all in one place for easy access. The second and more likely is cause they have members or visitors in the household who are stealing and or abusing the meds. It is to confuse the people who may steal them so they don't know what is what. The prescribed person more than likely knows which is which. I think sites like this make pil...

Do you know what country it is from? ## Hey fam i found this bottle in my grandparents cabinet a while back and it said they are Slow-K Potassium Chloride slow release tablets 8 mEq (600 mg) This bottle also expired July 1983 so there could definitely be a different medication by that name by 2010

As reported by the NIH, there are various reasons you may have bags under your eyes, including medications, lack of sleep, dehydration or they could be hereditary. How much sleep do you get each night? Do you take in plenty of fluids? Are you on any medications? Did one of your parents or grandparents have them?

Hi I accidentally took two hydrocodone pills in less than six hours apart. I don't even know if it was at least two hours. I had my wisdom teeth pulled out all four on monday that is the only reason I'm taking them to begin with for pain. I was leaving for my granparents and I took one before I left for the pain. and I took an anitbotic for my mouth and another hydrocodone pill when I got home from my grandparents but by the time I realized that I already took a pain killer earlier it was too late and I just want to know if I'm going to die. I don't want to die. Please answer me. ## Elizabeth: 2 hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5/500mg doses will not kill you. The greatest danger is if you have a preexisting liver condition because it is a large amount of acetaminophen and a sm...

Hi, I’m Herb... My question is, why is addiction considered a disease & not a choice?! I can & have quit addiction but I don’t know anybody that has “quit” cancer, heart disease or diabetes... I’m convinced that addiction is a choice, not a disease! ## Hello Herb! How are you? It is often considered a disease, since some people can inherit a genetic propensity for addiction, just like cancer, heart disease, or diabetes, according to NIH studies. If their parents, grandparents, or others in their lineage were addicts, it could make them more prone to becoming addicted to any given substance, such as drugs, or alcohol. That does not apply to everyone that experiences an addiction, of course, but it has been found to apply in the prevalence of cases. T...

Small white round pill one side has M with a square around it and the other side has a score in the middle with the number 30 on the top. ## This tablet is actually an extremely pale blue, but yes, it does contain 30mgs of Oxycodone, a generic for Roxicodone, a very potent narcotic pain reliever.
