Good Pain Management Dr Long Island

I'm a 60 yr old woman who is suffering with psoriatic arthritis. I have for the last five years. I work 12 hrs shifts, 5 days a week. I'm supporting my family right know, my husband lost his construction business 2 years ago. My arthritis is getting worse I'm struggling at work, please I need to find a Dr who will prescribe pain medication. Can u please help me find one on long island in the Commack area? If so, that would most likely be the quickest and easiest way of finding the help you need, because they can refer you to someone local. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in the area?

If so, they should be able to refer you to someone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Think I will need help quite soon. Does anyone see/know of Dr. in Suffolk or Nassau who might prescribe the pain meds I've been on for several years? Surgery might help one problem but can't afford the medicare co-pays (Try living on Long Island, N.Y. on 15,000 a year). I'm on disability - have a small house - can't sell and it will be liened if I applied for Medicaid. My present Dr. had a personal emergency and the office does not know if he'll be returning. Im having trouble finding a dr to prescribe any type of pain killer i have numerouse bulging disc with disc degeneration bone on bone and much more going on in my back ive been doing the shots and im sure of what to do i cant keep living like this and i am unwilling to go through surgery anyone no a good dr that can assist me in my life of hell? nyc or staten island area ## Unfortunately, if your pain may be resolved, or helped by surgery and you keep refusing it, you aren't very likely to get any doctor to keep cooperating by prescribing pain medications.
