I'd like to find a doc who's not going to make me sit there for 50 minutes and talk about my life I'm well aware of how to live with my disorder and have been med free for last 7 years but took a promotion and I can't get any of numerous projects done in timely manner since I'm all over the place and I can't lose this job. Thanks ## Based on my research, usually your best bet is to see a psychiatris...

My husband and I recently moved to South Carolina & have been desperately trying to locate a good pain specialist/doctor near Columbia, SC. I suffer chronic pain from being stabbed in the stomach from a domestic violence attack many years ago. My spleen, gall bladder, and appendix all had to be removed. My small intestines were completely severed, so a good bit of my intestines had to be removed while a temporary colostomy bag was attached to my stomach. I had to wear the bag for 3 months while the intestines healed and then could thankfully be reattached. My vegus nerve was also severed by the knife, so I now have Gastroparesis, a condition where I can only digest around 30% of the food I eat...the rest comes up in extremely violent puking episodes. I was a mess. Many doctors have sai

I am currently on Cymbalta, Attivan, y low dose of Methadone and have morphine for breakthrough pain. This is working for me and I would like to continue but, don't know how to find a doctor. I am very worried about running out of everything all at once. Need to go in somewhere ASAP. Thank you so much for any advice/reccomendations. I appreciate your time. =) ## I really need some advice on how I might find a new doctor! I am 34, F, near Flint, Mi. I was on a lot of different pills but, had to wean off when my dr, found a past prescription in my u/a. I really want to start my story with my main concern in case anyone doesn't have time or interest to read the whole thing. So I've suffered now for eleven years, have had 5 surgeries, PT, many many inj's., multiple doctors and opinions, had a very high stress and crazy physical job, acupuncture, have tried so many medications. I had a good pain doctor years ago that left and my family doctor of two decades took pity on me and by this point I had a psychiatrist that helped me for two months while he decided if he was comfortable with what I needed. Five years later I was no longer getting relief from 6 Perc 10's and he wasn't comfortable adding anything else so I found a new pain doctor close to me and was very anxious about it but he ended up being pretty good; but h...

please let me know if you know any psychiatrist or doctors in the Chicagoland area that is lacks about prescribing XANAX! ## You mean lax? I know of a great Hamburger place if that helps? ## Really not funny at all! ## Hello, Krissy! How are you? No doctor can be lax about prescribing them, anymore. If they prescribe them improperly, they risk losing their license to practice medication, as well as fines and jail time. Additionally, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a specialist, now. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This medication is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and...

Need pain doc in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi or Arkansas? One who Is willing to help you. ## Hello, Lucygirl! How are you? Due to the new directives set forth by the DEA that involve prescribing restrictions, you'll need to see a doctor that is located in the same state you live in. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Which state do you live in? This information would enable someone to recommend a good doctor for you, if they know of one.

I have been prescribed to clonazepam 2mg 3times a day for anxiety and seizures for years and have been prescribed to methelphenidate 20 mg 3 times a day for adhd and have been on suboxone for 18 months and have abstained from opiates i need a good addiction psychiatrist in columbus ohio ## I need to find a dr in Columbus, will even travel to Grove City for treatment - if I can find a Doctor that will prescribe Suboxone as well as Clonazepam, aka Klonopin. I have "GAD" Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and I need a doctor who will prescribe both. It's very important! I am in danger of losing my kids, because "several people," as CPS put it, have called & said a lot of untrue things of myself & my husband, causing them to jump at the chance to come to our home, mak...

I've been taking 2mg sub a day for the past year. I've had a few bumps in the road over the past year and my sub Dr has been very patient. I'm going to run out before my next refill. I'm scared and I'm sorry if this against the board rules. ## This is why they have contracts. You should tell the doctor if your pain is still not being managed. Taking more than what is prescribed is not good, and is why the rest of us end up paying. "Sorry"? Your doctor is NOT going to give you any extra, because his license to practice, is on the line. They have heard every story..."they fell out of my purse", "I dropped some in the sink". No sympathy at all. It's up to you to report, that you are still in pain. Deciding to medicate yourself more, without g...

Hi, My mother takes zenoxa 300 twice a day. She has had two seizures - one this year and one last year around the same time. On starting, the seizures don't stop and the doctors had to administer general anesthetic for it to stop. The doctors have prescribed zenoxa 300 twice a day. Do you think it will stop her seizures for the rest of her life? What other medicine may be good if this is not a good option.

I have many injuries too many too mention. Is methadone a good option for chronic pain management? ## Hello, Ray! How are you? No, actually Methadone is not a good option and is usually reserved to be used as a last resort, when someone has exhausted all their other pain management options. The reason for this is because Methadone is very highly addictive and most people never get off of it, even those that use it for addiction treatment, rather than pain. Most people end up taking it for life, since it also causes very severe withdrawal effects. Learn more Methadone details here. There are other options available that are much safer to use. Has your doctor made any suggestions? ## well ray i see you said many injuries which would indicate to me you were probably in a major accident lik...

My insurance allows to change doctors as often as needed, no pcp needed, also need good pain management doctor, currently have one in a hospital, do they charge alot more than one who has their own office. I was charged $2600 for an epidural, where other places charge 200/300. I lorain, ohio area. Is this correct. Shes really a rehabilitation specialist? please help ## Hello, Dave! How are you? There is no set amount that they may or may not charge. Fees are going to depend on the doctor, their years of experience, the treatments proffered and etc. Do you have a PCP? If you do and can have them refer you to someone, that may be the easiest way to find a good pm specialist in your area. Does anyone else know of any good doctors in that area?

I met a woman about 2 months ago. I knew she had some issues. Maybe 1 month later I received a text from her asking for some of my pain meds. I refused & she must of texted 30x's. Just crazy! Later in the week I had to go about 5 hours away for a funeral of a good friend's dad & I received a call from my pain doctor telling me I needed to be in the office tomorrow for a "pill" count. I said I'm not in town. They said well the woman that called about you selling your meds must be right! She did threaten me on one of those texts!!! But I never thought it would go this far... So on the next visit they discharged me without any meds. And I've been on 30 mg and 40 ex for years! Now what? Any ideas? Please help. ## I need some info. as what to. Call the Med. Bo...

I need a Suboxone Dr. in the Huntsville/Madison, AL area asap. I am already on suboxone, but it looks like my doctor may be leaving the area and I really don't want to go to a random Dr. just to find out he's awful. I've already done that once with a doctor scamming me and my insurance and I really don't want to do it again. If anyone knows of a good doctor in the area, preferably one with availabilities (but I will put myself on as many waiting lists as needed, so go ahead with any good ones that are full that you may know of), I would really appreciate the help! Thanks! ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? Actually, there is a search engine on the website that you can use to check for doctors in your area by zip code. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist. Thus, the best thing to do would be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? ## There are no new regulations that state only a specialist can prescribe xanax and adderall. Old college football players. Both Knees messed up plus terrible headaches. Need some type of pain meds. Local doctors give me a 30 day supply only. ## Hello, Larry! How are you? I'm out of work - my health insurance ran out and I I have been taking Lisin/Hctz 20+25. Does anyone know of a company or a clinic that will give me break - I found something on line but they won't identify themselves so I'm afraid to use them. Does anyone know of a similar drug that is cheaper - maybe I can have my doctor prescribe it - my doctor won't help me research it. Thanks. Or maybe a manufacturer that would give me a break ?? ## The name brand for this would be Zestoretic and it is manufactured by AstraZeneca, which actually means good news for you. They have an excellent assistance program for people that use their medications, it's called the AZ & Me program, it's specifically for people with lower incomes and no insurance.
