Hi....For the last 2 days I am suffering from loose motions and fever. The doctor that I went to today prescribed Clavicef. Frankly I am scared about this drug. Because in the past I have seen that any medication / antibiotics prescribed for stomach upsets usually worsen my condition and I end up being hospitalized. I am not sure whether I should start this course or not. I did mention my fear to the doctor but was told to try this medicine and let him know if the condition worsens. The FDA classifies Cephalexin as an antibiotic that can be used to treat various types of bacterial infections, so you can take it, as long as your doctor or dentist have said it's appropriate. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, trying to diagnose and treat it on your own isn't a good idea, you may not have enough of the antibiotic to fully eradicate the infection, it might be the wrong one and you'll still need to tooth repaired, or the infection will keep returning. Should I double up on probiotics when taking cefpodoxime to protect my digestive tract? ## The FDA lists the typical side effects of Cefpodoxime as possibly including nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. As to the probiotics, while they can help, there is always a risk of taking too much of a good thing, thus it is best to stick with the normal dosage, if you are going to take one. Recent NIH studies have found complications in people that are overusing them. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi. I would like to know if Tergecef 400mg is ok to be taken once a day for my dog? He was diagnosed with a 'Transmitted Venereal Tumor' 3 years ago and his medication was only Cefalixine. For years, I had to stop this medication for intermittent periods of time since I am aware that prolonged use might do more harm than good, and opted for antioxidants, but recently I talked to a niece who told me that he uses Tergecef on her dog that had the same ailment and it was cured. Should I try this?

my 3 yrs.old daughter was seen thru her xray and cbc with atypical pneumonia she was given 2.5 ml of tergecef for 2x a day.we are not yet advised to be admitted to the hospital if she will not have a fever.i'm just worried are we safe at home or should we admit her already she has been vomitting clear phlegm was it a good sign that tergecef is working? thank you.

Dear I am suffering from dry cough as i drink ice water in some party and after the same i got suffer from cough problem my chemist suggested and gave me the cefadroxil 500 as antibiotic is it good for the same or not as no improvement i had seen after taking the 1dose of same. I took flagyl for 4 days after a bad reaction (stomach pain, mucus in bowel movements) to Ceftin. I was supposed to take the flagyl for 7 days but couldn't tolerate the nausea, etc. It has been a week since I stopped the Flagyl and my symptoms from the Ceftin are returning. Is there anything over the counter I can take to remedy this?
