Glyx 13

I have completed 13 treatments and while I never felt any "immediate" effect, I have been doing increasingly better over the past 8 weeks. I can't know for certain if this drug is the reason, but I have not been this functional in at least 3 years. Reportedly, some other patients also did not respond immediately but after 4-6 treatments. I am hopeful. If I continue doing better through February (winter is very bad for me) I will have hope that this depressive "episode" may not be permanent. ## Hello, Citygirl! Are you still doing well? I'm glad this it's helped you. I've not seen many other posts about it, yet. From what I've read via the FDA, it's usually used as an adjunct therapy for major depression that is treatment resistant. It's also s...

Possible release in 2019? chicagotribune.com/bluesky/originals/chi-naurex-series-c-funding-bsi-20141202-story.html ## @citygirl, Thanks for sharing this article on the advancement of GLYX-13. I think as long as Evanston can continue to utilize this molecule while minimizing the types of side effects that plague most prescription drugs, they'd find much success expanding on it's application for depression. The research backing up their experiments gives hope to those with treatment resistant depression and in my opinion may be a viable alternative for patients seeking a safer approach to managing these symptoms in the long run. I'll be looking forward to more updates as things progress! ## I meant to share this blurb from Chicago Magazine, as well. I have completed 20 treatme...

There seems to be some demand for a GLYX-13 discussion (now known as Rapastinel) so I would like to start one here. ## Great! Do u need me to help notify everyone who has written about it? Especially because two people are currently in studies! ## Yeah that would be great, the link to here is posted in the other thread but if you have a way to get ahold of them that would be good. ## From what I could gather, GLYX-13 is said to be a molecular cousin to "ketamine", inducing similar antidepressant properties without the common street drug side effects. This info was reported from a study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) that was published this past April 2013 in Neuropsychopharmacology. I think other's who may be in the following Ketamine discussion thr...

Any idea as to when they are going to start Phase III of the trials on GLYX13? ## I know there have been some recent studies on GLYX-13, but I'm not certain when upcoming trials are scheduled. For this, many interested parties suggest checking clinicaltrials.gov periodically to see if they've posted any updates. There's also another discussion thread (linked below) on this topic, if you're seeking more specific details from other users here on the site: Discuss/GLYX-13-248269.htm Perhaps someone else there may have access to more information that can better address your question. I hope this helps! ## I would like to know too. This is November 2014 and still have heard little. ## The center where I am doing the extentipn study says there is no word yet :-(

GLYX-13 open label study is now scheduled to begin in June, according to my local study center. I will update as I get more info. ## What is an open label study? Is is another trial? AND CAN ANYONE SAY HOW ONE GETS TO PARTICIAPATE IN THE STUDY?? I just learned about GLYX-13 and have been trying to find out what's going on with it. I've been depressed all my life, have tried everything I can think of, and nothing helps. Not drugs, not exercise, not psychotherapy, not meditation…. I got to the point I just wasn't willing to try anything else anymore. But this sounds different, and hopeful. I would be so grateful if I could get help... ## @post #1, An open label trial is basically a type of clinical trial in which both the researchers as well as the participants know what...

Dose 7 completed, which began the 2nd arm of the study. I don't feel substatively better :-( ## Hello, Citygirl! How are you? I'm sorry, but this is an information only website, so there is no medication study being conducted by anyone on it. I think you've confused this site for another and may want to double check your information. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That was posted to glyx-13 which is a study drug. I don't understand.
