My sugar level has suddenly gone up to more than 400. After taking metformin 500mg 3 tablets a day, still it does not go down below 200. So I tried glycomet GP2 two tablets per day. I have been taking Glycomet 1gm since the last two years twice daily. 1 after breakfast and 2nd after dinner. I have lost my 6 kg weight in the last two years in which 3 kg has been in the last 6 months only and my face, waist & shoulders shrunk and I'm starting to look very weak. Since the last few days, I have started feeling nervousness also. Is it a side effect of Glycomet 1 gm? My suger level of fasting always maintained 90-100 whereas PP sometimes high, up to 215-235. Otherwise normally it comes in at around 165-180. I am having pain in the calf zone due to pull of the siatic nerve or so. Is it connected with use of Glycomet SRand Glycomet GPi over long period (of years) to combat diabetics. ## No, it isn't likely that it's due to using the medication, but it may be due to the diabetes itself. Has there been any change? Have you ever checked your blood sugar, when you experience the headaches? If you're taking a brisk walk in the morning and haven't eaten much yet, or if it is very soon after eating, your blood sugars could be dropping too low, which may explain the headaches. I am 59 and a diabetic for the past 7 years. I am also having high bp. I am 5'8" and weigh 68 kg.
