I am Taking Glycomet Gp 1 tablet in the morning and Glycomet 500 mg tablet in night but still my sugar is not in control. Presently my sugar level-empty stomach is 114 and after food is 199. This has been since last 3 months. Kindly advice. ## Are you watching your diet, as well as taking the medication? A medication alone is not enough to control your blood sugar. If you are eating a lot of foods that are laden in fats and/or sugars, it is going to cause your blood sugar to go up. The medication can only help to a certain point, but you also have to help it. You should keep your diet as healthy as possible, which for you means cutting down on fats and sugars. Also, how long after you eat are you checking your blood sugar? Everyone's will be raised, within a few hours of eating. Thi...

My insulin is on the higher side but my Doctor prescribed me Glycomet 1gm two tablets per day. My body is fat & a few years ago an ultrasound report had shown a fatty liver. Please advise me weight loss medicine appropriate for my age of 52 yrs. Thanks. ## Have you talked to your doctor about it? With your medical issues, it would be remiss of anyone online to try to suggest a medication for you to use for weight loss, as there are many which would just worsen your problems, especially the condition of your liver. The best thing you can do would be to just follow a health, low-fat and low sugar diet and get plenty of proper exercise.

His dr will take his history clearly, disease nature, past control, current level, his past record of responsiveness to medicines, risk of hypoglycemia and many more other factors to rx suitable medicine for him. 500 mg/dl is too high - hence pls consult a dr immediately without any further delay. She has thyroiditis and and her USG of Abdomen and Pelvis report shows that she has mild fatty liver and polycystic ovaries (3-4mm follicles). The doctor has suggested her to take glycomet r 500 twice a day. Is it OK if she takes glycomet r 500 to reduce her weight and have a baby? We are also planning to have a baby.
