I take 2 tablets in the morning at breakfast and 2 tablets at dinner time. I was advised recently to test my sugar 2 hours after each meal for beakfast, lunch and dinner. They said it should be under 140. I can not get under 141 after breakfast, it is usually around 220. Two hours after lunch it is usually below 140, even though i do not take any tablets at lunch. I have tried taking the tablets 1 hour before i eat breakfast and the results are closer to 140. The only time i show bad results is at breakfast. Can you explain whe i should take the tablets? Thank you. ## white oval pill with 600 on 1 side and Adams on the other. ## It is rude to hijack someone elses thread, next time please create your own post, in the CORRECT forum for a pill ID. need to see picture of glyburide/metformin .5/00 believe i may have received the wrong pills they look different than last ones ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? Can you please post back with the markings on them, as well as their shape and color? Since this is a generic medication, it is manufactured by several companies and each has different markings and may also look different. This is very common with generic medications, because it creates market competition and helps keep prices down. However, I can't possibly list them all or post pictures of all them for you. The FDA classifies this medication as being an oral antidiabetic agent and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizzies, flatulence, bloating and hypoglycemia. Can you post back with these additional detail...

I'm out of my metformin which I'm taking 1000 per day all have is 5mg glyburide which I take twice a day how long can I take it ## Hello, Darrell! How are you? How did you end up running out? When it's a life sustaining medication, such as Metformin, you can pick it up a few days early. For these ones you don't have to wait until you are out or the exact day it is due. Have you called your doctor? Rather than switching, it would be best to have them phone you in a new prescription for your current medication.

what long term damage can glyburide 10 mg daily drug do to the body organs after using it 3-4 years, what are the signs and symptoms. Metformin, same as above what damage can be done to the body organs, what are the signs and symptoms 1,000 mg daily ## Well, since most medications are processed through the liver, there is some risk of suffering damage from taking them, but that applies to about 98% of the drugs on the market, not just these ones. And, in reality, the risks of organ damage to you would be far, far greater if you didn't take them and let your diabetes continue out of control, because the high blood sugar levels can burn out your organs, the liver, heart and kidneys. Hello. I am taking metformin Er 2000mg daily. Doc just prescribed glyburide 5mg once daily, additionally. The side effects for this one little 5mg green pill are just awful! I shake, get weak (low blood sugar), sweat, heart palpitations etc. Although I take it with food, I have very slow digestion so it can take up to 3-4 hours to hit me. I end up eating a sweet something to help the side effects. Which is ridiculous! My question is: how can a 5mg pill affect me so harshly? Eating sugar to counteract it is defeating the point! My average blood sugar is over 200. I am cutting out sugar, eating more protein , taking my meds. Metformin Er gives me no problems, but the normal metformin upset my tummy. ## Hello, Sharon! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem that you've bee...

Is this white tablet ( Glyb/Metform ) used for Type 2 diabetes? ## Active Ingredients: Glyburide + Metformin This anti-diabetic medicine is a combination of two medicines (a sulfonylurea and a biguanide).
