My mother has copd, was hospitalized and was given prednison by iv, was being given insulin while there, then was sent home on 80mg oral prednison ta;ering 10 mg everyday, was prescribed glimperide never mentioned monitoring her blood levels. she isn ot a diabetic nor has she ever had a sugar problem, after coming home, started developiing sweats and her eyes looked whilte with the pupils being very tiny, her blood sugar keeps bottoming out at about 30 to 35, she is also on lasix and other inhaled steroids. Is she coming off the prednison too soon and why was she on glimperide without being monitored of her blood sugar she is now back in the hospital

PLEASE SUGGEST ME THE BEST MEDICINE TO BRING MY PRESENT SUGAR LEVEL (OF 110-165 & TSH=27) TO NORMAL RANGE SOON. THE FOLLOWING MEDICINES ARE BEING TAKEN SINCE THE LAST 6 MONTHS. DOSE HAS BEEN INCREASED FROM: THYROX=50MG TO 100MG NOW. & METMORFIN=500MG TO 500X2 TABS DAILY. I AM NOT FEELING GOOD, NO GOOD sleep, pain in upper body near kandha & lower part of legs, but now have no swelling in body & legs. My age is 38 yrs & I'm female.

the Dr. says when I turn 80 yrs old (4 months) he will stop prescribing Glimperide and put me on insulin. Does that make any sense? ## Hello, Bill! How are you? Yes, it actually does make sense. There have been cases of dangerously low blood sugar levels occurring in elderly patients taking oral antidiabetic medications. Thus, putting you on insulin helps avoid the problem by letting you more precisely adjust the dose, if necessary. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I am a diabetic patient (type two). Due to essential hypertension around 150/92, my Dr prescribed telmisartan 20. My pulse rates elevated to 114 and 88 in the morning. I was feeling fatigued, mental confusion, blurred vision within 4 weeks of medication. I was changed over to Nebi 2.5 and dramatically my bp has come down to 110/70 average with pulse around 70-78 per minute. Since I am diabetic and also taking glimperide 2 in the morning and fenofibrate 145 at evening with metformin 500 at night, will Nebi 2.5 worsen my blood sugar control, which is just now around 110-125 on fasting? Will nebivolol will be suitable for long term therapy to a patient like me who is a patient of type two diabetes for 15 years? My high BP has been diagnosed recently, just two months back. Due to severe hig...
