How can I diet from getting fat a s a side effect of taking penorit? I got irregular menstrual cycle an I took it and I getting fatter. ## Hello, Oliv! How are you? Weight gain can happen, when you take oral contraceptives, since they are hormonal based. The only thing you can really do about it, while you're still taking them, is to try to up your amount of exercise and be careful to eat a healthy diet that is a low in fat, as possible. Have you consulted your doctor? There may be a different one that you can switch to that doesn't cause as much weight gain.

I have used Midrin sometimes over the last 30 years for migraines. Then I could not find any. Midrin is the only thing that works for me. I had a severe migraine that lasted 10 days and I now have a blind spot where the flashing lights were for all that time. The eye doctor I saw 24 hours into this did not find anything serious, because the effect is in the part of the brain that processes vision. I finally found out about compounding pharmacies and my doctor wrote the prescription for the 3 ingredients: C-Acet 325mg/dichloralphena/isometh65mg I found a compounding pharmacy in my area. The prescription was faxed to them with my pharmacy insurance info. I picked it up the same day. My insurance covered it with a somewhat higher co-pay. Midrin has been made hard to get as it was not teste...

Today it's been 3 weeks since my last dose of the methylprednisolone dose pack. I am finally getting some more sleep, but the side effects I am most worried about is my elevated heart rate. Minimal exercise sends it over 100 bpm. When can I expect this to get better? ## You heart rate should go up whenever you are being active. The Mayo Clinic provides a formula for calculating it, subtract your age from 220 and that will give you the maximum heart rate you should hit during exercise/activity. For example, I am 45, subtracting that from 220 gives me 175, so when being active, or exercising, my heart rate should not exceed that number. It is far more dangerous to have a very elevated heart rate, when you are at rest. Have you checked your resting rate? ## My resting rate is on the 80...

Have been using Ovacare for 3 months along with Letro for 6 months, Clomid and now m2-tone. Will any of this help me conceive? ## Helllo, Vivian! How are you? Did your doctor prescribe these, or have you been taking them on your own? The M2 Tone is just an Ayurvedic product that's not actually proven to help with anything. Are your periods regular? Are they very heavy? How long do they last? ## HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO TAKE M2-TONE BEFORE I CAN GET PREGNANT? ## I have completed 1 month of m2-tone tablets and want to know how long it'll take before I can get pregnant? ## I am 28 years old and I've been trying to conceive for the last 3 years, but we are not having any success. IF ONE NEVER HAD CHICKEN POX ARE THEY APT TO GET SHINGLES ## No, it is a later manifestation of Varicella Zoster, which is a form of the herpes virus and causes Chicken Pox. You have to have had one in order to develop the other, as reported by the NIH. The issue is that not everyone may have the severe symptoms of chicken pox that many experience, so just like being infected with the herpes simplex that causes cold sores, they may not have known they ever had it and could be surprised to develop Shingles later in life. I was just explaining to someone else the other day that by the time they are elderly, over 85% of the population is infected with the Herpes Simplex that causes cold sores, but only a small percentage ever develop cold sores. The ones who do get them, when infected, hav...

i was geting methadone 10 mg at a clenic then got medacare couldnt go back to clenic now no doctor will give it to me also smoke pot reno nv ## It sounds to me like none of the doctors/clinics you're going to are accepting medicare. I would just suggest visiting your local Human Resource Department; as they should be able to link you up with a directory full of local physicians who are accepting that type of insurance. Otherwise there would be no need for Medicare if no doctors ever accepted it. You could also ask the doctors/clinics that you already visited, for a referral to a new physician. That way they can also transfer all of your medical records at the same time. I hope this helps! ## Medicare should cover methadone maintenance, plus they have $ pay as you dose policy, wich i...

I have been on Flomax for over ten years. I also have had the side effects: stuffy nose all year long, thickness in the throat, some problems with retrograde emissions, and lightheadedness.. I have read about the side effects and decided that I would try and get off Flomax and just use saw palmetto, which I have also been using off and on over the years. I have been off the drug now for about three weeks and am finally I hope getting to the end of the drug withdrawal symptoms: bladder pain I assume from spasms, other intestinal and abdominal pain, some nervousness, problems urinating (getting going, stopping and starting, weak stream). The good part though is that overall I feel a lot better. I continue to take saw palmetto along with zinc. I am hoping I never have to go back on that dr...

I've been taking Lexapro for over 10 yrs and don't like being dependent on it - has anyone successfully stopped their dependence on this drug? ## Many people have successfully stopped taking it, it's really a matter of doing so properly. If you're not replacing it with a similar medication, it should be tapered slowly to avoid the worst of the withdrawal symptoms and your doctor should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, chills, fever, diarrhea, rebound depression and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey there, I was on 20mg of lexapro a day for 3 years. Went (kinda) cold turkey. So glad I did. The month leading upto it I actually started skip...

I am naueseated, and light headed. Have had diahreha. I came off very slow and still had these symptoms. For three days now, I have been totally off of it, and still feeling horrible. I have to go to work feeling this way. When will I feel better?!! No more medicines for me! ## @kim, Withdrawal symptoms are generally dependent upon how long you've been taking a certain medication. For some people withdrawal effects can last weeks or a couple months, while for others it may only last...

Why is there no information anywhere on how to get off suboxone or zubsolv.... since recently I was switched to the zubsolv and I hate it. Any success stories out there? If so, please share how u did it. Been addicted to opiates for four yrs and on synthetics now for a yr. My doctor is useless and I'd rather hear it from someone who's lived it anyways. ## There is absolutely no way to avoid withdrawals from opiates. ## Subs are made to be taken long term, all depending on your abuse and history. my Dr had me on it for 6 yrs. I have the understanding that I will be on it the rest of my life due to the damage I've done abusing H, oxycintin 80s, roxys, morphine for a good decade ...sub's are harder to get off of then anything out there, H included, due to its Half Life. I was an opiate addict for numerous different years and I went to inpatient and outpatient rehab but they never gave me suboxone. The second I got out of rehab I did more opiates, and I did them for another year or so and I tried suboxone and that is what I stuck with. Well it is getting very expensive and I was not getting myself off it very good and now I am pretty much addicted to that. If I can't find suboxone I usually find another opiate to take. My main question is, if I go to an outpatient rehab, is there anyway I could still get suboxone? I want to get off suboxone and other opiates and I do believe this would be the way to do it. Suboxone withdrawl is rough so any thoughts or anything would be appreciated! ## Hi Andy, I don't know how the outpatient clinic type places ...

Hi, I am feeling so lazy & tired and getting light low feavor frequently due to stomach problems, I am not getting motion frequently so I want clean my stomach on new weekend; I am looking to get loose motions heavily on weekend to clean my stuff. Please suggest best medicine or capsule. Thanks in advance. Regards, Subba

I would like to share this, for anyone trying to get off Cymbalta; many know it makes it easier for some people to take the capsule apart and take out a bit of the content and reduce it that way. there are 250 tiny balls in there (yes I counted!) which makes it quite tedious, but there's a generic brand called Coperin by Alphapharm, who condensed it to only 6 little pebbles (5mg each) which makes it WAY easier to reduce as you go along. I reduced one pebble every 2 months, but everyone is different. I want to get this out there as this has made a huge difference in my getting off this medication!!

On june 29, 2009 my doctor upped my Fentanyl from 50mcgs to 100mcgs. I applied one patch and had a reaction simaliar to an overdose. I immediately put back on a 50mcg patch and have been reducing the dose ever since. I am now down to 6.5mcgs or there about, I have been cutting Mylan brand patches in half, the quarters etc., I have been at this dose since the 10th of July. I really don't want to stick another one of these things on me, so does everyone think I've got it down low enough to come off this stuff? Thanks for your help. I do have ativan and percoset if needed. ## After doing exactly as I described in my message on the 14th. I am happy to report I am totally off the fentanyl patch totally since the 14th Stepping down in doseage as discribed worked like a charm. I must s...
