My mother in law has cancer and will die from it, the cancer has been eating at her bones, the doctor has prescribed her the Oxycontin 20mg but her insurance does not cover it and the pharmacy wants $300 for 2.5 days or I guess pills, that's crazy. Until she gets approved for Medicaid we need to find some cheaper place to fill a prescription for it. Does anyone know where we could buy it cheaper with the prescription? ## Actually, what I'd suggest is asking about getting MS Contin prescribed for her, instead of the Oxycontin. It's a time released formulation of Morphine, but it is available as a generic, so it's much cheaper, even if her insurance doesn't cover it. Learn more Morphine details here. I used to be on it and it wasn't even $100 for the entire month s...

Where can i get my prescription norco 10/325 filled in las vegas nevada? ## having trouble finding a pharmacy that has NorCo in stock ## Got me, CVS has been sitting on my Rx for 1 week. Can't or won't say when it gets in also may not get 7.5mg/325's ## I'm sorry that you are all having a problem getting your prescriptions filled. On top of all the other changes that happened this year, we are also now into the time of year when there is almost always a shortage of controlled substances due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a company has manufactured their allowed amount of the year, they must cease production until the new year. So far, I've not known of a single year where demand hasn't exceeded the supply and a shortage happened the last few months of th...

My sister is being treated by a pain management for severe back pain and is prescribed oxycodone w/ acetaminophen. The problem is the doctor office says she must use the pharmacy downstairs in the same bldg. that pharmacy only carries Camber and will not order from any other manufacturer. The pill that she gets has a real negative affect on her, she complains about being lethargic, will make her sleep 15 hours a day, and she can’t nor want to get anything done. My question is, is there laws on the books that state that she has to use that pharmacy. Or how can she get that doctor to send her next script to CVS or Walgreens. This doctor has treated her for years and she has always used the pharmacy downstairs but now that that pharmacy is using camber everything is gone to hell. How...

Problem is their not effective for my severe pain. Any help aside from going a state away to old pharmacy. Please! ## I'm sorry I had a similair problem and the KVK brand was the one I needed as well. my old pharmacy switched to the cheaper brand and wouldn't order the KVK brand for me anymore. After 18 years of filling my methadone prescription in Sevierville, TN., I can no longer find a pharmacy that will fill it because my Doctor is in another city than where I live. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Knoxville, TN or Sevierville that will fill it? ## I'm sure you've probably got it figured out by now or at least I hope you have but just for future reference a friend I used to hang with goes to a pain clinic in Knoxville and he always gets his methadone filled at a Food City in Newport. ## What was the reason they used to not fill it anymore? Especially after 18 years!

Does everyone who fills a controlled substances rx get reported to the PMP in VA? ## Hello, Robbie! How are you? Yes, all such prescriptions are logged and tracked, even from state to state. The universal database has been put in place to try to discourage abuse, such as when people doctor and pharmacy hop to try to get more medications than they should. Are there any other questions or concerns?

is a customer able to request week in advance for the pharmacy of their choice actually have specific manufacture deliver a refill for generic xanax bars which are white by Greenwich...? need to no if poss fake ## Your Pharmacy is not going to sell you fake pills. A Pharmacy deals with a certain distributor and just gets the brand they currently have on hand. You can call around to different stores and possibly locate the brand you seek. Honestly though they are mostly the same, plus or minus 20%. For each time you feel cheated you should obtain a stronger brand, the law of averages ## Hello, Dazed! How are you? On top of what Eddy has already said, your regular pharmacy may be able to order the preferred one in for you, but you'd need to ask the pharmacist. And, if you have insuran...

my pharmacy said that they would probly not be able yo fill my 150 oxycodone at that amount my freind gets 280 15mg a month im talking about KROGER IN MI THEY FILLED3 80MG PLUS 120 30MG DID THEY CHANGE THERE GOD COMPLEX ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. There have been many new changes going into effect throughout the U.S. and one of them is many states restricting the daily dose for most chronic pain patients to the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine or less. With exceptions only being made for people with chronic conditions that have the potential to be terminal, such as stage 4 cancer. The FDA classifies this medication as being a a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as naus...

Have recently come across 12mg dilaudid a neighbor gets at a compound pharmacy ,though been unable to find any info at all on these. Help!? ## And you won't find any information on them. A compounding pharmacy creates the medications as specially ordered from someone's doctor. This may be done for several reasons, such as someone needing a combination of medications that isn't available on the market. Or as in this case, a dosage that isn't available in the standard prescription medications. That's also why they are in capsule form, the pharmacy orders empty capsules and then fills them with the dosage the doctor has ordered. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Thus, in this case, there are no special imprints to look up and there will be no details on it under that do...

Some pharmacy will not give the watson brand soma or norco if you using insurance can something be done and do target carry name brand. ## No, you get what that pharmacy gets. You can request the Brand name drug and expect to pay up to 100 X more if that is what you are asking, yet insurance wont cover it. Also the pharmacy and the prescriber will catch on that you have vast knowledge of different brands and most likely not do business with you, or cut you off. You are playing with fire. If you have the time, open the phone book and call all the Pharmacies in a 100 mile radius and perhaps you will find the brand you seek!

My daughter gets prescribed 20mgs of Ritalin instant release (Dan 20) 3 times a day. I had to go to a different pharmacy and they gave me a yellow pill round with T 175 on one side. Is this the same thing? It doesn't seem to be working as well!!! ## Yes, it is also a generic for Ritalin, it contains 20mgs of Methylphenidate. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. Has there been any change, or is she still having a problem with it? Taking Lupin zolpidem ER round blue..works great. Pharmacy now has Sandoz zolpidem ER round pink. Both 12.5. Totally ineffective. Have gone back and forth before due to what pharmacy gets. The Sandoz is useless. Anyone else noticed this? ## Hello, Jay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. Alternatively, I took the Sandoz brand and it worked great for me and I didn't do well with the Lupin. It can just vary from person to person. We are all different. The only real way to avoid this is by asking your doctor if they can prescribe it as 'brand medically necessary', or whatever the equivalent is in your state. According to the FDA, this medication may cause side effects that could include nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, funny taste in mouth, sleep...

do you think that this new drug could replace the ever popular percocet? My pharmacy goes through at atleast 20 or so scripts for percocet (real and phony) each day. When word gets out do u think this could be the new rage for junkies and people who suffer from long term pain? ## There will always be something that is the 'in thing' for those that want to get high, the prevailing preference usually goes according to whatever is easiest to obtain. Combunox contains Oxycoodone, and Ibuprofen, so it is an opiate, the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. My girlfriend takes Suboxone and recently the pharmacy has switched brands. They are orange, slightly smaller and have 970 on one side. I think she is having terrible SE from them. Under her tongue is raw so bad. Also hot flashes. Severe. Head to toe she gets soaked! This seems since the pharmacy changed pills. Has anyone had these symptoms? ## Yes!! These new orange Sun Pharma 970 are awful! I was unfortunate to get some of those with my last script. I hated them so bad I searched over 7 pharmacies in towns an hour away just to find the Amneal AN 415 orange ones again this past Saturday for my months script. How many Oxycodone IR 20mg brands are there? What are the colors & shapes, including generics? My friend gets these and changes pharmacies from time to time because of the quality. Her usual one says he gets ones w/ the lowest costs for consumers. Thank you. ## Unfortunately, I can't possibly list them all for you, since it is available as a generic, it is manufactured by many different companies, they all have different markings, plus the shapes, and colors can vary. And yes, that is how all pharmacies work, they will stock whichever generic was being offered at the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. My pharmacy just began filling my soma RX with 446/Sun pharmaceuticals. They don't work like any other generic I've taken. I get shakey and nervous sometimes. They also don't help the muscles. I do not want to take any drug made out of the country. Has anyone else had this problem? ## I don't know where my pharmacy gets its meds, but I used generics for years with no problems. About 2 years ago, I began to have severe reactions to them, and have had to switch to the pricier real things. ## Sun 446 Soma works fine. Medicine made out of the Country is just as good as medicine made here. ## @Kel, My research leads me to believe that it's probably the inactive ingredients that are causing the problems when you switch from one manufacturer's tablet to another.
