Get Early Period

I had my period normally last month, then this month - 10 days before I was supposed to get my period - I started spotting, and just thought it was during ovulation. It ended up becoming a full on period and I still have it almost a week later! I am not supposed to get my actual period for another 5 days, but not sure what this is all about? I have taken my pill at exactly the same day every day and never missed one. Help! ## How long have you been taking this contraceptive? I started my period on my last week of blue pills, today(Monday). I am having a family vacation this weekend and am going to be outside doing active things. In past months if I accidentally missed a pill, I would double up the next day, but then would have violent pains and vomiting. This past month, I accidentally missed a pill and decided to avoid the extreme illness (since I was probably throwing up the dose anyway), and I skipped the one I missed and went on to the next one. I missed monday and tuesday on week 2 of my sprintec, I have missed before and continued with no complications but I started bleeding heavily today I think due to missing the two pills. I just started Loestrin24 and I have been taking it all month. I've been bleeding lightly most days (I've taken it almost 4 weeks now). Is this normal? Also, my period is supposed to come during the time I am taking the brown pills... right? So why did it come three days before even starting the brown pills. I was prescribed sprintec as an OC three days before my period was due. I was not given any specific instructions by my gyno about taking the pill, so I started the pack the day I got them. I didn't know until afterwards that the rule of thumb was to wait until the first day of your period or the Sunday after your period. I started my period almost immediately after taking the first pill (3days early) and I had it for the whole first week of my sprintec pack.
