I am prescribed the 2mg Actavis bupe/nalox tabs. the ones with a moon on one side and 154 on the other. i like these they kick in sooner feel a bit stronger than a 2mg suboxone tablet. also i prefer the taste. I have a round orange pill with AN on the top and 415 underneath. I'm pretty sure its a generic suboxone, but how do I take it? Do I swallow it or let it dissolve under my tongue? ## Hi Teresa, Just to confirm, the round orange pill in description is in fact a generic Suboxone tablet; containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine + 2mgs of Naloxone. Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals As far as proper dosing goes, the guidelines state that sublingual tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is completely dissolved. Apparently, swallowing the tablets can reduce the bioavailability of the drug itself. I have been on Suboxone for 7 years. I just switched to generic Subutex for financial reason. After 2 weeks on the generic Subutex, I have deveoped sever puritus on the back of my thighs and buttocks. I am pretty sure that the Subutex is the cause, as I have eliminated anything else.
