i guess it was actavis that acquired Watson - anyway. the name of actavis president is Paul Bisaro - they are becoming global; maybe they are making this stuff in India, who knows? ## That's the scary part.....who knows where it's being made! The quality is suppose to be according to US standards but this is the second pain med, that I know of, in less than 2 years from them that has been terrible. Horrible side effects and no pain relief! Is this how they are fighting the war on drugs? Do they think everyone will just stop taking meds and live with the pain and suddenly the drug scene will be obsolete? Freaking irresponsible bas*****! No, I don't think so......I think they will find one of 2 things happen.....an increase in suicides or H use! There has already been an incre...

what dose it look like ## My husband has been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. and oxycodone 15 mg. 4 times daily. When I took his prescription to be filled yesterday I was told that the government was not letting any of them go out right now (the 5 mg, that is). I got the 15 mg. What's going on? ## I know the generic manufacturer Ethex has issued a voluntary recall due to quality control concerns, however, I haven't heard of anything recalled by the government. It is possible that your pharmacy carried the ones made by Ethex and don't have any in stock right now, since they had to pull them from the shelves. I suggest calling other pharmacies in your area to find out if anyone else has it in stock, since there are other companies that make it. Has anyone else heard anything about...

I have seen so many different opinions and information about companies offering generic oxycodone and the differences in strength, and quality over other generic brands. I have also heard that the FDA allows from 12% to 20% variances in the active ingredient (oxycodone) in their pills. Which if i am understanding this correctly, they can be + or - 12 to 20% of the actual amount of oxycodone per tablet? Can someone with the expertise or knowledge (like a pharmacist or a doctor) explain this to us who have heard this and don't understand? I personally suffer with chronic pain from a construction accident 20 yrs ago in which my back was broken in 7 places along with a lot of muscle and nerve damage which has left me on disability and in chronic pain after 4 surgeries and 7 levels of my...

This new 224 pill is awful!! I get 180 a mon for severe migraines and its bad enuff I get nauseaus due to the pain. This new generic for from sun manuf makes me nauseas, and I get hives along with dry mouth! AWFUL! I went back to my dr that wrote me a new script. The bad side of it is I had to pay cash for them! I'm sure Sun will be getting a lot of negative feed back. I also read that it is sold in India black market!! ## Virtually every medication is available on the black market, in various countries, however, that means nothing in relation to its quality. And as to the negative feedback, not everyone's experience is going to mimic yours, they work fine for some people and not so well for others. That it how it always is with medications. Who is the manufacturer of the others ...

light green Oxycodone. Just the synthetic opiate medicine no acetaphetamine or aspirin included. I have no bad reactions from the straight medication. There are fillers and other opiates than cause me to have open sores and other reactions. My liver can not handle anymore tylenol or steroid inj's.. Now I am being denied the government insurance certain amount of medication for my pain. The government says 5 mg. or 15, or 30. What about 20mg.? Why all the drugs from countries that the water supplies are questionable? What is safe? Anyone? ## Hello, Connie! How are you doing? If the medication is approved by FDA for use and sale in the U.S., then it has had to meet the same strict quality, efficacy and safety guidelines as all others on the market, regardless of which country they are...

Over the past forty years I have been taking oxycodone and valium for different lengths of time, different health issues, and manufactured by many different pharm companies. Until the 1990s the brand names were affordable; $20. for 100 Tylenol #4s, $25. for 100 Percocet 5s. When the drug prices went sky high, generic versions flooded the market, $75. for 100 Miltowns vs. $5. for 100 generic meprobamates; but for every two Miltowns I was used to taking, to get the same physical effect (mild sedation) from the generic version I had to take three times as many. Even my doctor told me that the generics were only about 35% as potent as the brand name, so he told me to ask for the brand name of meprobamate Equinal, which was just as good as Miltown but only cost $18. for 100 tabs. Now, though...

who is the manufacturer of oxycodone? ## Oxycodone is a generic medication, so there are actually several companies that make it. Are there any markings on the tablet in question? This information would enable me to answer your question. ## I just got the script. And wanted to know which manufacturers I could trust as I was receiving Percocet 10 mg and the quality got so bad and so inconsistent that my dr switch my prescription to plain oxycodonevwithout the acetaminophen? Is there a manufacturer better than another?

Hi, After 12 years of taking the blue 30's the pharmacy gave me these big white tabs. My question is why are the blue more potent than the white from Rhodes Pharm. Is it the quality of the ingredients? The brand Roxi you cant find anymore why is that? ## Generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% as decreed by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They also don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand, so some generics may be slightly stronger or weaker than another. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The name brand is ...

I used to take Watson percocet and never had any problems and it took away my pain. The Actavis is nothing like the Watsons and have terrible side effects and feels like you are taking a placebo - NO pain relief. If you have to take more to get any type of pain relief you will suffer alot of GI problems. Anyone else notice this difference? ## Hi Lisa, While I don't have personal experience with Actavis products, I have heard numerous complaints about most of their oxycodone and percocet tablets being far below what is considered standard quality. I'm thinking there's a couple different things that may be at cause here. Excess amounts of binders/fillers are usually the first to be blamed for those who experience GI related issues. This is likely the case with most generic med...

Don't relieve pain. Avoid them, they may have 3 or 4 mg of oxycodone in them, but only the manufacturer in India would know.sarc. ## I am very sorry that this medication didn't work for you, with some slight fluctuations in generics, not all of them work for everyone. However, the manufactured is Caraco, which is under Sun Pharma and they are actually currently based in Detroit, Michigan…not India. And regardless of where a medication is manufactured, if it is approved by the FDA and available in the U.S. it has to meet the same quality and efficacy standards as any other. Is there anything else I can help with? ## my girlfriend has been taking oxycodone 30mg for years for chronic back pain, and yesterday she filled her medication and got stuck with these horrible caraco...

I ahve been going to a family orientated pharmacy for my oxycodone 20mg they have the prescription always for me but I have used other pharmacists and it seems that the others have better quality meds are better than the one I go too is it because of different manufacturers and why is that?? ## Yes, it could be, there can be differences between generic medications as allowed under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%, but they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the one you've received is slightly lower in the amount of Oxycodone than the prior one you were taking. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

How many Oxycodone IR 20mg brands are there? What are the colors & shapes, including generics? My friend gets these and changes pharmacies from time to time because of the quality. Her usual one says he gets ones w/ the lowest costs for consumers. Thank you. ## Unfortunately, I can't possibly list them all for you, since it is available as a generic, it is manufactured by many different companies, they all have different markings, plus the shapes, and colors can vary. And yes, that is how all pharmacies work, they will stock whichever generic was being offered at the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and co...

Maybe someone can be of help to my Elderly parent. My parent, who is prescribed 15mg generic Percocet for chronic pain in her joints is having a hard time finding a pharmacy that has the medication on hand. Quality of life is greatly improved by the proper use of this important medication. Without it, quality of life is greatly diminished. The medicine is a God send, provided the prescription be filled in a timely manner. It seems as though nobody wants to carry it. Most often, it has to be ordered and the time it takes for it to come in throws everything off schedule. No elderly man or woman should have to suffer 24 hours a day from pain when modern science and medicine has medication to alleviate the EXCRUCIATINGLY sharp pains that accompany every moment while awake and being awakened...

Hi, this is the first time I have been given the A333 oxycodone 10 -325. Normally I get the Watson 10 - 325 which has always been a decent generic brand. The Watsons 10 -325 are manufactured in the U.S.A. but I am not sure where the A333 are made or if they are equivalent to the Watsons. If you can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Michael ## Hello, Michael! How are you? What country they are made in actually doesn't matter, if they are approved and available here in the U.S. they must meet the same quality and efficacy guidelines as the other generics and yes, these are equivalent. Is there anything else I can help with? ## hello my name is d, question are you a legal doctor and where do you get your medical resourses thanks for your time d. ## Hi again...

What country manufactures Acatavis's generic product oxycodone 10mg/acetaminophen 325mg tablets ## Hello, Melvin! How are you? I'm afraid that I don't have this information, however, what I can tell you is that regardless of where any given medication is manufactured, all of them must meet the same safety, quality and efficacy standards to be approved by the FDA and available on the U.S. market. This medication is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Hello. I was just given a refill of 5-325 Oxycodone/Acetaminophen (Percocet). These pills are much smaller than the large white pills I normally take (8 yrs). These new pills have RP on one side. So far I have taken 2 and they don't feel as strong as what I'm used to. Can anyone comment if in fact this is a good generic or should I avoid getting them in the future? ## Hi Tom, I can't say for sure whether or not their quality/potency is comparable to other manufacturers, but if they aren't as strong as what you're used to taking, one theory I had is that the manufacturer (Rhodes Pharmaceuticals) may be using a different set of binders and fillers (inert ingredients) than their counterparts from other manufacturers. According to numerous patient reviews I'm seeing ...

Plz what works? Been over 5 years. Just got ins. Again n all meds changed was on norco n had same issues that's why changed only take 3 a day. Just upped to 4 n now they're changing percocet. ## Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear about your troubles with the IP 204 generic APAP/Oxycodone by Amneal Pharma.
