Round, Thick, Blue pill with capital 'S' on both sides. ## Sounds like a 25 mg Sominex, which is a light blue with a large S on each side of it. ## I need the company name that makes 40mg oxycontin but NOT PERDU PHARMA CAUSE THEY SUCKS ## At this time, there are no generic version of Oxycontin available. The only time released formulation approved in the U.S. is the original name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. And there is no generic with an S on both sides. Badback, what types of problems did you have with the name brand?

need to know what legit pharmacies are still carrying Oxycontin 40 mg Genrics in central coast california ## There is no generic Oxycontin, anywhere in the U.S. There are some provided by Ethex, however, they are just licensed distributors for Purdue and the stuff you get that has their name on it is the same stuff manufactured by Purdue. For awhile, they have still had a supply of the original Oxycontin OC, however, since Purdue has discontinued it, once their supply is exhausted, Ethex will also only be able to provide the new Oxycontin OP. I realize many people are unhappy about this change, there have been many reports that the new Oxycontin OP does not work as well as the original and that is caused odd side effects, however, the fact of the matter is that soon, no one will be able...

what pharmacy carries ethex brand generic oxycontin? ## There is no generic Oxycontin, to prevent abuse and diversion, Oxycontin is only available as the brand name made by Purdue. Ethex does make a generic of the regular release formulation, the name brand for it would be Roxicodone. It contains the same active ingredient, but it is not time released and it is not available in an 80mg dosage. Do you have any questions? ## i didn't ask if it exists or not,,,IT EXISTS. ethex is paying royalties to purdue to distribute the old formula of ocs. apotex is doing the same thing, i'm wondering where BESIDES WALGREENS can you get these GENERIC OXYS? THAT IS THE QUESTION. THEY DO EXIST AND THEY ARE ONLY $10.41 EACH. THEY ARE NOT LEFT OVER. THE PATENT EXPIRED ON THE 20'S, 40'S AND ...

Has anyone had experience with the Endo Brand Oxy? I usually take the Barnd Name only but they were out. It doesn't seem to be as strong, but of course the pharmacist says, They're all the same! ## Found Tablet with light green and oval 99 on top and 33 other side. ## The generic is a weaker form than the brand name. I'm not sure if maybe the time release is different or the pain mix is different but they are different I know a couple of people who take them and they all have the same thing to say. ## yes i get the endo and they are great ## I want to see the image of a brand name 40 mg OxyContin looks like I think they giving genric and what imprint is on it

Much to my surprise 2 days ago my pharmacy gave me generic OxyContin instead of Brand OxyContin. I have been on 40 mg. OxyContin 3x's daily and have been for 15 years. I don't think twice about them as there is a 2 hour window to take it and never any problems with them, only my Sister knows I have even have to take them (I'm 57 years old). These Generic Oxycontins are identical in color, size, markings, everything which is odd. The only information I can find on the content of the drug is that the generic is the same as the brand name Only in the inactive ingredients but the active ingredience are different. The reason I'm asking about them is I feel absolutely terrible, I'm having stomach pains, all my joints hurt, having very bad headaches and I rarely get headach...

Where can i find generic oxycontin 40Mg in north jersey?????? i have a legitimate script and cant find it! i cant spend 200$ on my medicine ## I am very sorry, but there is no generic of Oxycontin, which contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a time released formulation. The generics were removed from the market, several years ago, due to the extremely high rates of theft and diversion that take place with this medication. If there is only one company making it, Purdue Pharma, then it is far easier to keep track of the supply and where it ends up. Even the ones provided by Ethex Pharmaceuticals are name brand, they are just a licensed distributor for Purdue. Have you tried talking to your doctor about trying something else? There is a regular release formulation of Oxycontin that is availab...

I found a pill with M in a box on one side and 595 on the other side. I found it in my sister's room and she used to do Oxycontins and quit, as far as I know. Could this be a generic 40mg Oxycontin? It looks exactly like it but has different numbers. I appreciate any help, thank you. ## To prevent future confusion, I have removed the incorrect post. This tablet contains 40mgs of Oxycodone CR, a generic for Oxycontin. This is a narcotic pain reliever. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation. ## Hello Brad If you were worried about your 'sisters' Oxycontin use, it is best to ask your sister directly if she is still taking them, & if her doctor is aware? Take good care, and remember that Oxycontin medication use can be ve...

I just refilled my Oxycontin and was given a generic form that is yellow in color and oval shaped. One side of the pill has the number 32 and the other has the number 93. My other ones were round and yellow in color with the number 40 on one side Are these the same pills or do they have different ingredients? ## I was cleaning out my mother-in-laws room after she passed, i found a bottle that said oxycontin, but they were green oblong, and has 33 on one side and 93 on the other. Are they the same? ## Yes 93 33 is 80 mg Oxycodone manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals. ## And Mike T - you do have Oxycodone as well, 40 mg to be exact... ## How u you get another prescription? I had one but lost it and now I'm getting the run around from the doctors. And I'm in excruciating hip and lo...

Im perscribed OC 40 mg. with the OP on the market the OC became the generic Oxycodone 40 mg. The question is there is Oxycontin 40 mg in capsules. Basicly is that equal to the Oxycodone 40 without the buffer in it ## There is no generic for Oxycontin, both the one with the OC and the one with the OP marking are made by Purdue, they just reformulated to help prevent abuse and discontinued manufacturing the original that had the OC marking. Oxycontin contains Oxycodone in a time released formulation. As to the other formulations, no, there is none available in a 40mg dosage. The immediate release capsule is only available in a 5mg dosage and the regular release tablets are only available in a maximum dosage of 30mgs. Is there anything else I can help with?

Round pill, peach in color, kind of thick ## Watson Oxycodone 20 mg helped me- these pills that are thicker and labeeled one side only G162- suck! I am not sure if they are 20mg or 40mg but to be honest it feels like NO Milligrams whatsoever! We all have to go back to PERDUE Oxycontin anyhow they are not making generics of this anymore! ## G 162 IS NOT 40mgs! This is a 20mg Oxycodone tablet. By the way, yes, they still are making generics of it. If you want the name brand then ask your doctor to write brand medically necessary on your prescription. There IS a different between name brands and generics, so sometimes they just don't work as well. ## Wow man, It's sad to see how many people are addicted to pain meds. Listening to how your talking about it. Was watching the news 3 d...

oxycontin 40mg versus opana 30mg, which one helps most? ## It really depends on the person and which one works better for them. The 30mgs of Opana, in this case, is the more potent of the two, if that's what you're asking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I know this is a very old post but i just had to say the Opana is no more but the generic(oxymorphone 30mg ER) is still available and BLOWS EVERYTHING out of the water by far including the oxycontin 80's n especially a 40mg oxycontin thats all

I think my my drug store gave me generic instead of my regular brand name of OxyContin and charged me the same price ## Hello, Poopoo! How are you? At this time, there is no generic available for it. There is Oxycontin, which should have an OP on one side and 40 on the other side of the tablet, which is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and there is Xartemis, which is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, I believe there are couple others the FDA has approved, but they are not commonly available, yet. However, all are name brand medications, in time released formulations, with abuse deterrent features. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What are the m...

Would like to try a different 40mg from another company. ## Hello, Barry! How are you? Currently, the time released formulation, Oxycontin, is only available from Purdue. To try to keep better control of the supply in order to curb theft and diversion, the others were removed from the market. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Purple pill with G163, is this Oxycontin? ## This is a generic 40mg Oxycontin manufactured by Dava Pharmaceuticals. ## WHAT MG IS IT ## 40mg ## What does a 30 mg look like. Is there an M on one side? ## Yes on some its just the manufacture. Who made the pill. ## 'M' located on one side of the pill usually refers to the brand name 'MS CONTIN' which is the same as ER or CR Morphine Sulfate. Each releases the dosage strength of the medication slowly over 12 hours, thus the reason 2 are typically prescribed per day (12 hrs apart). Medications such as this, Oxycontin, Duragesic patch, oral Dilaudid, etc are usually prescribed for those who suffer from and who will cotinue to live with chronic pain-

what do the generic oxcodone40mg look like ## Since it is a generic, it is manufactured by many companies, therefore they can all look different and have different markings and there are far too many to list them all. If you are asking about Oxycontin, there are no generics for it, all of those will have the marking OP 40. There have also been several generics of the time released formulation that have been discontinued in an attenpt to prevent abuse and diversion by limiting the manufacturing. Some of those markings include: G 163 ABG 40 and M 595 Do any of these match the tablet in question? ## My doctor gives me oxycodone with no tylonal in it and it does not seem to help the pain as much. So I've been keeping my eyes open for the new oxycontin generic to come out since Purdue lost it's patent. But for the longest time nothing emerged, no company was coming forward with a oxycontin substitute. I just saw that Teva brand has made a Oxycontin generic FINALLY. But I can't confirm a couple of things. First is how long has this generic been available? 2nd is I'm getting conflicting info on if they only make the 80mg pill or I'm seeing they make the 10mg, 20mg, 40mg and 80mg (NO 30's and NO 60's)!! And of course the other question, how much does this generic cost? Are they gonna charge a crazy amount of money or are they actually going to be affordable?? Has anyone out there tried these yet? If so how do they compare to the the old school original OC...
