Generic Opana 10

Has anyone been on the generic Opana ER that is being made by Global/Impax Pharmaceuticals long enough to give an honest opinion as to how much more effective they are then Opana? My pharmacist just ordered the oxymorphone ER's for me today. I haven't gotten any relief from Opana. I take 60mg of the ER's twice a day with 3, 10mg. oxymorphone pills for breakthrough pain. I'm getting more relief from the 10mg generics then I am with the 60mg ER's. Will I be able to just take the 40mg ER's without the added 20mg ER's? I need a list of pharmacies in kpt,tn that carries generic opana er in 10mg and 15mg ## I used to be able to obtain Percocet 10/325 now my local drug stores carry Oxycodone which they say is exactly the same formula as the Percocet. I know the drug stores pay less for this substitute but the pills do not seem to work the same for my back pain. I live in Sonoma county and if any one knows a pharmacy that dispenses Percocet I would appreciate hearing from you. does opana ir come in 40mg ## No, the available information on the drug lists the 40mg as only being available in the time released formulation of it. Oxymorphone is a narcotic analgesic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Usually if you take Opana ER 40mg, the doctor will also prescribe Opana 10mg to take every four to six hours as needed for breakthrough pain. I was prescribed that way for a long time, but now choose oxycodone 30mg over the Opana 10mg because the dosage is stronger because 1mg of opana=2mg oxycodone.

Can't find a pharmacy in my area of California that can order opana ir 10mg by Roxanne. They tell me they are unavailable. Does anyone know why? ## The pharmacy is lying to you. Yes they do this more frequently than people realize. I am on the exact same medication (generic Opana IR 10mg by Roxane), and fill it monthly. They are available. There is no shortage. Your pharmacy is chosing not to fill it for any number of reasons. (For example They may have reached their alloted amount, or they suspect abuse, or they dont want to pay the exact amount for Roxane as the Teva 10mg are cheaper, or etc etc etc). So I heard on the news yesterday that the FDA WANTS to stop production of Endo's Opana. Now my question is are they also gonna make IMPAX/Global to stop production on their generic oxymorphone too? Or is this aimed directly at Endo? I have a script right now that I can't fill for another 2 and a half weeks. What's gonna happen when I bring it in to get filled? It's written as oxymorphone ER NOT OPANA is that gonna matter or am I screwed? Plus on a side note if I would have to get it changed (my script). I found a white round pill with markings 54 814. My friend said it was an Opana 10 mg. i wanted to get some more feedback regarding Opana 40 mg ER and any side affects that you may have. I have two herniated disc's L4-L5 & L5/S1 & I have stonisis of the spine as well.. I am only 39yrs old and my pain management Doctor referred me to this type of pain medication since I am way to young to have back surgery. I am currently on my second steroid IV of dexamethasone which is a series of 3 intravenous doses and they have done nothing so far with the inflammation. I have been taking Generic Hydrocodone 10/325 2 pills 3 times a day and it's not helping so my doctor put me on Opana starting tomorrow, 40mgs twice a day. I called every name brand to ma and pop shop pharmacy to be told they do not carry them and can't order them. what is then dosage for oxymorphine er15 vs opana 40mg? ## Oxymorphone is the active ingredient in Opana, so the base dosage would be the same. The only difference in war you've listed is that the ER designates that one as being a time released formulation, rather than a regular release like the other one. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I don't understand your question. Opana 40mg is extended release and oxymorphone 15mg ER is the generic version of Opana 15mg ER. So the only difference is the strength as there is no such thing as instant release Opana 40mg. The only IR version of Opana is 10mg, which is available as the generic oxymorphone 10mg. Pink pill one side 93 and 02 on the other.They are Opana 10mg instant release! I get them EVERY month! ## That is correct, though these are the generic for Opana and aren't instant release tablets, they are actually regular release. Once you swallow them, they'll take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working. Learn more Oxymorphone details here.
