I was in an auto accident 8/21/96 and ever since then I have been dealing with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). For the last 11 yrs I have been on Avinza 270 mg (2 120mg, 1 30mg once a day) by King Pharmaceutical and now my ins company is insisting that a generic is made and sold in the US by Acatavis Elizabeth. I cannot see anything current that it has been released. There is a legal suit between King and Acatavis because it states a generic cannot be released until 11/2017. Generics do not work for me and right now I'm fighting it, but would like to know if it is true about Avinza being made and sold in the US by Actavis. Since it is such a highly abused medication that has an extremely high rate of addiction, theft and diversion, the generics were removed from the market to help keep better control of the supply. A friend of mine recently told me that she had been prescribed 30mg of MS Contin but opted for the generic Morphine Sul as it was cheaper and was the same as MS Contin but while researching the above med she found that this med also contained both morphine and oxycodone . This didn't make sense to me because if any combination of meds would or could be found in the name brand or generic wouldn't it be more likely that it would be morphine and oxycontin since the name brand does have the word Contin in it ? green with 30 on 1 side and plain on the other. ## This does not seem to be Morphine, the green, 30mg Morphine tablet has a 30 on one side and E 653 on the other and it is a time released formulation, the generic for MS Contin. As to what this is, I cannot find a listing for a tablet in the prescription drug databases that only has a 30 on it. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?

I currently take 20mg methadone twice a day with MSIR 30mg tabs 4 daily=120 total. I am trying to find which dose of oxycodone would be the equivalant of my current dose of Morphine IR. Its been VERY hard filling that script for approx 6 months now and is getting worse. So one option is switching to another medication. Some of the problem is that medicine isnt used as much as it once was.
